A native Californian, Robert is most notable for having photographed the weddings of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, as well as Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston. With a headquarters in Los Angeles, Robert and his team travel nationally and internationally to document celebrity weddings, personal celebrations, and corporate festivities. With a clear vision and unique artistic eye, Robert's work and training have earned him the honor of not only shooting the most intimate day in the lives of hundreds of couples, but several awards and prestigious titles as well. Episode 7: Jules Bianchi | Jules Bianchi on the topic: "Love & Happiness" Most of us became photographers because we love to shoot and document life, but it can be a challenge to keep things fresh in the midst of running a business. To keep our businesses thriving while still keeping photography fun, it is important to stay inspired. This talk is about learning how to do that. Finding the right inspiration can define us not just as photographers but as individuals. This ultimately attracts the right clients for us and will lead us to a career that we love. Jules' passion for photography started when she picked up her first camera at age 12 and was immediately smitten with the ability to capture the life around her. She has since become an accomplished photographer who is very active in the photography community. She has spoken at every Los Angeles Partner Conference, led workshops for the Digital Wedding Forum Convention, is frequent speaker for the PPGBA and a speaker for Kevin Kubota's popular Digital Photography BootCamp. She leads the monthly Los Angeles Pictage User Group and has taught her own seminars to new and veteran photographers alike. Although she loves mentoring new photographers, Jules' true passion is shooting weddings. This is evident by the fact that eleven of her weddings have appeared in various publications. Episode 5: Carlos Baez | Carlos Baez on the topic "See The Light - Passion, Fashion and Inspiration" It takes more than numbers to keep yourself going in the wedding market, it takes deep rooted passion, knowing your style; where you came from and where you want to go. Don't end up as a photographer having a "break down" due to lack of inspiration. Finding and listening to your inner voice can keep you going with as much energy and vigor as you did the first time you picked up a camera. Today's wedding photography market is competitive, and shooting with available light is simply not enough to separate your imagery in the market place. With many photographers' images looking the same, how can you stand out? Fashion photography is consistently molding what the savvy client is expecting. With the use of many types of lighting, your images can stand out and bring a new edge to your style. Having worked in fashion and editorial photography for over 20 years, Carlos knows that every diva has her day, and that being a supermodel is having a certain state of mind, not a certain look. His fashion fusion style has also made him one of the most sought after exclusive wedding photographers. He has photographed the superstars of fashion, entertainment and sports. He has been published in iconic women’s magazines like Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, W, and has shot for advertisers like Revlon, BMW, and Sony records. Carlos is a graduate of the renowned Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, where he periodically teaches as an adjunct professor, and is a nationally recognized speaker amongst his peers in photography. He recently became a member of an elite group of Art Institute alumni, earning his spot on the Art Institute’s Wall of Fame where his talent is showcased. Memo to Sara France: one word- editing.
I like the content of this podcast, but it could be greatly improved if some of the, "How are you? Whats the weather like in sandiego..." etc was edited out. It would be better if she had a little summary at the front of what will be discussed in the interview then cut right to the content.
