Customer Reviews

Not bad but could be better.

PGR is a great concept for a podcast. I enjoy the fact that it is dedicated to a community forum. It is also good that they do include members of the Talking About Games forum as guest hosts. However, there are some things I find annoying. Most of these annoyances are tied around the actions of the hosts that I personally percieve as pretentious. For example, one of the show's staples and strongest segements is Question of the Week. The hosts will read the answers given by community members, and often will try to comment on these answers like experts, when it is obvious that their expertise does not go deeper than the person who made the comment in the first place. This type of pretending to be an expert comes across most when they talk about community topics. They will pick threads from the forums and usually go on about what they think about the topic, as if their opinion is more valid than what has already been presented by community members. This show has a great concept and a good start. I think it would be better, if they allowed more of the voice of the community come out instead of stifling it with their own aggrandizing voice. Please not I am not trying to be mean. On the podcast multiple times they have asked for reviews They have asked for them to be honest, and this is my honest opinion.
