I went back and spent several hours meticulously trying to comb the whole thing for silent spots to fill in with the audio from the podcast. Well, apparently I missed a few (like when 8-Bit Mickey's on screen. I think he just nullifies all audio recording equipment with his awesomeness). 7 VideoDonkey Kong Country Returns In this episode we take a look at Donkey Kong Country Returns. There isn't a review part at the end because I had about an hour of footage of game-time. It just sucks you in. That being said, it's hard as balls. It's like this generation's "Super Mario Brothers 2". A right of passage, if you will. It is hard as balls - but it is also beautiful and very fun to play. Not to mention the music is a beefed up version of the SNES games. This game is ruthless and unforgiving and you will be dying all the time. You will turn the game off and go crying to mommy. But, you will come back, and try again.I'm having a hard time giving it a "real" grade. I haven't beaten it but I'm pretty far - beat a couple bosses. Had one HELL of a time doing it too. It was a giant pain in my ass and I was like "Aw C'MON!" several times. But I like it. I have never been so eager to pick up a game that makes me so frustrated. It's fun and I think they're doing a good job with the game. But I can only play it for so long because it's so frustrating! I guess a "B". It really is a great Wii title and not owning it is a shame. It's hard and will put new gamers in misery.
