ExplicitRetcon Radio 14: Don’t Call It A Comeback | Hosts: Matt, Pete and Scott. Been a bit but an old friend and talented writer /artist wanted to join us, so here we are! Enjoy my extra nasally voice as I lose a fight with a cold, and Pete's continued lack of life as we welcome Scott Reed as Retcon Radio has it's first guest EVER! Scott has written for Image and Marvel (Overman and Incredible Hulks, among other things), and has a great new miniseries out. We also discuss Fear Itself (again), the New 52, and I may rant a bit about Pop Culture and Pilates. And you know when we are ending the show, as I announce it! | 11/30/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 13: Marvel’s Tiger Balls | Hosts: Martin and Matt. That's right it's new comic Wednesday and we're back again. I often wonder all Odin feels about comic books choosing his day or perhaps the All-Father is a computer reader himself. I guess with his lack of depth perception his choices of recreational fun are limited. This episode we swim in the shallow end of SDCC, by this time we'd expect you all to have gotten your news fill so we keep it light and fresh. Matt had a chance to check out Captain America and touches on some of his favorite hi-lights from yet another killer Marvel super hero movie. (We're looking at you DC.) Speaking of Marvel we also touch on the subject pertaining to how large their balls actually are, this of course is in reference to their new promotion that targets DC's latest cross-over. We spend a bit of time over in the indie world talking about Dwight MacPherson's latest (or re-released) series from DC's Zuda imprint, Sidewise. Also promoting the indie series Dead Future. That brings us to our next point. We here at Retcon Radio have a soft spot for Indie comics. If you or someone you love is doing an indie comic, tell them to stop. No seriously let us know, leave a comment or send us a note. We'd love to do some more indie coverage and your silence is only a disservice to yourself. | 7/27/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 12: Dark Secrets | Hosts: Martin, Matt and Pete. We had a chance to reunite with our long lost compatriot Peter Duling, though I still feel his name would be far cooler if spelled Dueling. I guess that goes against his nick name though, Tiggerpete. (stifled laugh) So as always we talk more DC and Pete talks over everyone else. I think at this point you come to expect that people and there is a sad empty feeling when he can't join us these days. Add to that rampant issues with connectivity to Skype and this is one the greatest episodes yet. Of course that may be due to the guest appearance at the end of the show by an unnamed female helping Matt stick it to the man once more. (Ewww sticky) I'm pretty sure we talked comics and even went over a list of titles that have yet to see the light of day. That all pales in comparison to the revelation we had when Pete revealed his dirty little secret. Will this dark secret rip the show apart or will Pete have to come to terms with his problem. Tune in and find out, same bat-time, same bat-place! | 7/13/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 11: The Man Can’t Keep Me Down | Hosts: Martin and Matt. Today's show is all about anger, rage, and things that are just plain wrong. Sure we talked about DC's continued abuse of their properties in movies. Hell that even extends to the wonderful world of comics too, you know we're right. From Wonder Woman being canned cause of improper execution of the intellectual property to the gimp suit Hal Jordan wears in the Green Lantern movie. We don't know when to stop. Sure there is that great Retcon coming and you'd think that because of our name we'd be happy about it, you're wrong. DEAD WRONG. Still there is always marvel right? Wait, Death of Spiderman? Jump the shark? No not marvel, I'm sure they won't restart their titles at issue 1 any time soon, right? Wait, you mean they are... Yeah that's right more Ultimate Comics coming to you with all new shiny #1s. Because nothing sells books like issue #1, regardless of how poor the issue that follow are. There's a small plug for for a cool webcomic called SMASH, give it a peek and show the creator some love. Lastly we'd like to say hi to Stitcher and tell them thanks for giving us another way to spread our madness unto the world. PEACE! | 6/30/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 10: A Future Past Conspiracy | Hosts: Martin and Matt. Sure we know it was coming, the signs were clear. Once the Terminator showed up and began dropping mad plot lines into the DC universe we knew it was all going to change. Then they kicked us in the balls with a "young" hero Retcon and dropped us back to 52 issues of #1s. They held that middle finger high to signify the change. It was like the Bat-symbol but far more phallic. Today's show delves a little into the huge DC retcon being introduced at the end of Flashpoint. Unfortunately Pete was unable to record with us due to his new job. We're happy for him and he'll continue to contribute and have a place in Retcon. (Unless we retcon him out I assume.) We also talk about our event fatigue that the major comic companies keep piling on us, I'm looking at you DC, Marvel, and even you Topcow.... shame you. BAD COW BAD! At one point we reveal that Emma Frost got her mutant nickname from Wolverine after a very randy night, White Queen indeed. During the course we also discuss the X-men movie. Now, what's missing? Independent comics, that's what. Is it because we hate them? No, we ended up mostly ranting about things that we hate and it looks like we don't hate our indie brothers this week. I tell you this, if you've got an indie title, it'd behoove you to contact us. We'd love nothing more than to give you a short plug. But I leave that ball in your court, don't be a lazy git. | 6/15/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 9: Please Hammer, That Hurt Us | Hosts: Martin, Matt and Pete. Someone once said, life is like a box of chocolates. They were a moron, life is like in airplane. This show was all about movies, bastards, and hopeful enterprises. Sure X-men comes out this week, sure we'll see it. Problem is not one of us is truly excited about it. Perhaps we'll blame Ratner for this? What a fitting name. Once again we touch on the Wonder Woman fiasco and her posing with what looks like the guy who shot Gabrielle Gifford in Arizona, though I ignorantly said Texas. We talk comics, oh the shocking horror, and the rumors (now confirmed) of DC's huge retcon. We also talk about how much we love hammers. (/sarcasm) In the end Pete drops the bomb on us, he claims Kung-Fu Panda 2 is better than the Thor movie. We'd like to take this moment and point out that Pete's opinions are his own and no way reflect the rational mind of a man in his 20's. That is all. | 6/1/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 8: Fox is a Four Letter Word | Hosts: Martin, Matt and Pete. There was a time when the term Fox was good. It never really had anything to do with television, it was more about the attractive nature of an individual and almost used exclusively by males referring to females. These days Fox, to Fox, or you've been Foxed, means your content has been cancelled. It started in the early days of modding games for the PC and moved on to beloved TV shows. Why is that relevant to today's podcast? If you don't know we'll be discussing why, and how we feel about it. Of course the overall topic is comic related. It's just focused in the morbidly bloated land of television programs. We're also on the topic of comics, what we've read and what we liked. Leaving off with Thor, which if you haven't seen, GO SEE IT. If you listen to this podcast before you see the movie, shame on you. Spoilers ahead folks, there be creatures in these waters. | 5/18/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 7: Independents Day | Hosts: Martin, Matt and Pete. Good morning. In about an hour you will have listened to another episode of Retcon Radio, what should be your favorite comics podcast, or at least in the top 20. Comics— that word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps its fate that Saturday will be Free Comic Book Day, and you will once again be heading to your local comic shop to feed the need if you are not also going today. It is time to look beyond the Big Two. So we discussed some other things. Superman giving up on America. The Green Lanterns bringing back the Rainbow Rodeo. Brian Bendis and his bald head. And other things as well: Some lesser known names, fighting to bring us good comics on their own terms. Super detectives with no bat fetish. Emo Teenage Satans with a sparkle. A world overflowing with superheroes. Today, we celebrate our Independents Day! | 5/4/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 6: Greatest Comeback Since Lazarus | Hosts: Martin, Matt and Pete. They yell it from the streets, "Blasphemer!", "Harlot of the Beast with two Backs!", and my Pete's favorite "Knit-work Defilier!" Of course they aren't talking about us, they're screaming at Mark Millar. Now, this has nothing to do with the show, I just found it interesting since we are calling out the masses with our title. Anyways this week we touch on horrible cartoons with misspelled titles, yes the youth of America is once again safe from actually learning the English language. Other topics include Wonder Woman, yet again, and how sometimes people talk about things but don't really mean what you think or perhaps they do. See what I did there? Sure there is more meat to the show than this and with Pete driving it well, I'm glad it wasn't on a bridge cause we'd all be wet and dead. Still if you love the words um, uh, and uhumha, then you'll love today's show. | 4/20/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 5: Snatched The Victory | Hosts: Martin, Matt and Pete. There's a term a friend of mine coined, Chaos Check. The last two shows seems to have been all about rolling that dice and seeing what topic we decide holds its own in the show. This week it's all about a Wolverine's Director, Wonder Woman TV show's costume, the Whedon-In-Law-Bitch, and Flash vs Superman. During the course of the show people say things and sometimes slips happen. It's those moments when your brain disengages and your mouth keeps on flipping out syllables. We're not really about censoring and editing the moronic mistakes we make, after all that is suppose to be part of the charm to the show. So please excuse the segue from Wolverine's new movie into the Wonder Woman costume, I'd blame my drinking but Matt was the only one taking shots. Truth be told I have no respect for the costume in question, so it did nothing to help my leading thoughts into that segment. Cheers and Beers, it's new comic day! | 3/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 4: Shiny Aint Sheen | Just like a return road trip from Tijuana, we're day late and a few dollars short on this weeks Retcon Radio. Scheduling conflicts aside we've come together once again to talk about the burning questions of the week. (Again very Tijuana like.) This week we discuss the Spiderman musical, again, as well as the sad state of digital comic distribution by major print distributors. Once again Martin goes off on a rant, this time about the Kirkman/Liefeld collaboration. Lastly we delve into the imaginary world of Oscar winning comicbook movies. Wrapping up we ask, who do you think should win? The categories are Best Picture, Best Screen Play (closest to source material), Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress. So, who do you feel should walk away with the Comic Oscars? | 3/10/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 3: Michael Bay’s Revenge | Just like a Quesada cross-over event, this episode is all over the place and rarely makes sense. (At least the artwork is hot.) Our normal recording schedule was thrown off, that did not stop us from having fun (at Pete's expense) , so if you like hot, buttered mess, help yourself to a heaping helping of Retcon Radio! Did you know that Pete is still in desperate need for followers on twitter. Follow him or he will cry even more! Also we are on iTunes now! So subscribe to our show and never miss another show! | 2/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 2: Caveman Love | Welcome once again to another episode of Retcon Radio. Today we discuss super bowl movie trailers, DC's lack there of, and Michael Netzer's excellent open letter to DC and Marvel from the characters. That brings us around to the "struggle" of creators and creator owned. So while you're on the way to pick up your subs, cleaning out your long box, or even as you're reading the latest issue of Batman & Robin, crank us up and enjoy. After all it's new comic day folks and there's no dead Johnny's to spoil the fun. Also Pete is in desperate need for followers on twitter. Follow him! | 2/9/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRetcon Radio 1: Origin Issue #0 | Welcome to the origin of Retcon Radio. From the dark basements to your local comic shops poorly organized back issue boxes, we bring you commentary on the latest happenings in our corner of the poly bagged world. After a bumpy start this first episode simply titled Origin Issue #0 is ready for consumption. Unfortunately the actually origin story has become lost to the digital cosmos to never be heard again. Perhaps some day historians will find a way to decode the vibrations in the digital continuum and pull the brilliance that was the true origin of Retcon Radio. For now enjoy the Retconned Retcon Radio, Origin #1. !!!!DISCLAIMER!!!! During the post there is reference to a website. Please for the love of all that is holy and dark, DO NOT GO THERE! While we will not directly link to it from the site, nor give the specific title of such, let me say it deals with parties and citrus fruit. This is not a site for a new party drink. Is a vile place no man, woman, or child should ever bear witness to. That being said we can’t be held responsible if you take it on yourself to go there. !!!!DISCLAIMER!!!! (Ed. Note - We are now getting the show available on other services which may take a few days. For now you can download it straight from our site!) | 1/28/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
