Podcast Description

If the 66 books of the Bible may be compared to a novel having 66 chapters, then Revelation is the final chapter in God's novel. Just as a novel must be read cover to cover if it is to be understood properly, so must Bible students have an understanding of the Bible's first 65 books if we are to truly understand its concluding book of Revelation. Consequently, the VBVM Revelation study covers not only the 22 chapters of John's vision, but we also teach relevant sections of Daniel, Deuteronomy, Leviticus, Ruth, the Psalms, the minor prophets, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, the Gospels and the Epistles. Virtually every book of the Bible is referenced during the course of this 10-month class, leading many VBVM students to joke that our Revelation course is actually an attempt to teach the entire Bible in a single class. We plead guilty!

Great Podcast

Stephen Armstrong is following God's will for his life and has the gift of teaching. This verse by verse study of the book of Revelation is well done and challenges each of us to dig deeper into God's word. Stephen is very articulate and teaches with great detail. He is humble and gives God the glory. Download this podcast, you will glad you did. God Bless

Great Study

Patient teacher showing correlations between Revelation and lots of other books (some will surprise you!) I wish all the handouts were available on the web site--for free OR for money. I will listen again and again.

REvelation Chapter 2

For the most part the teaching is good and pinpoints areas of our lives that need attention. He brings questions to the forefront that we need to answer to be sure that we are following the Lord in our walk and not deceiving ourselves. I didn't appreciate the comment about the Lord being delighted to knock down pastors who fail. I think it grieves the Lord terribly when we fail, especially knowing we are His chidlren, and that our walk is less than what it ought to be. I don't think the Lord is delighted to show off our failures in front of men. Otherwise He would never have told us to go discretely to a brother who is in sin and try to give him godly counsel to turn from his sin and at the same time to be careful not to fall into the same sin. If ministers are out front in the public view, or even if they are not, when the Lord has to expose their sin, I am sure it greives His heart terribly to have to do this and that the situation has come to this point. He delights when we repent, but I don't think he delights in our public humiliation. Just my thoughts on the matter.
