ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 95 | Was this a good show? You be the judge. The first part of the show just seemed a bit sub-par to me, and for that, I apologize. It’s not that the bands and songs weren’t good, but as a whole, it all just seemed a bit too slow paced. Anyway, about half way through it picked up, I think, and I hope you will enjoy it regardless. Part two of Brats in Leather Jackets was great, and the Beer Minute was a great Belgian Quadrupel. See you next week! | 5/23/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 94: Wood Shampoo | I hadn’t been this excited about a show in a long time. There was a lot going on: A shitload of stuff from the great Wood Shampoo Records, some rare Urban Voodoo Machine tracks, brand new Hex Dispensers, brand new Dirt Box Disco, a brand new segment called “Brats in Leather Jackets,” and a Beer Minute from a brand new local brewery. Awesome stuff! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Big thanks to Darran at Wood Shampoo Records, and don’t forget to go to the Wood Shampoo Records Facebook page and click that “like” button. Another big thanks to Christian from Mannheim for the “Brats in Leather Jackets” segment. Great stuff. | 5/16/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 93: Nervous Breakdown | Tonight’s Manifesto was all about mental issues: nervous breakdowns, insanity, panic attacks, depression, psychosis, madness, etc. It was kind of a last minute decision so it wasn’t planned out as well as it could have been, but I think it got the point across and included some really great music encompassing these very real subjects that so many people deal with. Tonight’s Beer Minute was a so-called “Red India Pale Ale” that should have just left well enough alone and called itself a Red Ale. An IPA it was not! Still good, but not an IPA. | 5/9/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 92 | Rock N Roll Manifesto 92! I actually left the house last weekend to go to a real live record store and picked up some vinyl, so a lot of tracks from those finds made it onto this show, including some Record Store Day releases. Other than that, just a normal Rock N Roll Manifesto, I guess, but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, or something like that. Tonight’s Beer Minute featured my very first ever barleywine, fresh from my local brewery, and I played a song for my lovely wife and our 10 year wedding anniversary. Hope you enjoy the podcast. | 5/2/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 91 | This was a weird show. Maybe you won’t even notice, or you wouldn’t have if I wouldn’t have said anything. I started off with a theme of really fast punk and/or rock songs, but never got a whole show together. Then I got a package from Saustex and wanted to include stuff from them. I still didn’t have a full show together after that, so I started just throwing in whatever. It was a last minute scramble to pull it all together. Hopefully you will enjoy it. Tonight’s Beer Minute was an Imperial Red Ale that missed the mark. No, it wasn’t Nugget Nectar. | 4/25/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 90: Beer Show 5 | The Manifesto started a bit early tonight since there was no Burrito Electrico. So, I started out in normal Rock N Roll Manifesto fashion, and then the Beer Show started about 30 minutes in. I smuggled some beers to Mag and Gentleman Matt that they can’t get out there in California and we had some live tastings on the air. The beers I sent them were Troegs Nugget Nectar (an imperial amber ale) and Souther Tier 2x Stout (a double milk stout). This was a fun experiment for us, and I’m sure we’ll be doing it again in reverse, after they send me some beers. We hope you enjoy it as well. We did play some music here and there, and I tricked Mag into liking a Dwarves song (Yay!). | 4/18/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 89: Requests | The Rock N Roll Manifesto All Request Weekend! Only, it wasn’t a weekend, it was just a Wednesday. Last week I took some requests for the last part of the show, and it was so much fun, I thought I’d do a whole show like that. So, I sent out a call for requests and tonight’s show was the result. I must say, my listeners have great taste! So, a big thanks to Jerry E., Jerry Pinhead, Petra, Benny, George and Dratsum for all the great requests. Also thanks to Natalie for the Beer Minute suggestion. In response to that, the Beer Minute this week was a great chocolate stout that even the folks in Europe should be able to get their hands on. | 4/11/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 88 | No theme tonight, just a bit of the usual, which was a lot of fun, especially since I got to go overtime and take some requests from the chat. Early on, I played a set by the Flash Boys, who were kind enough to send me some tracks from their newest album to play on the show. What a great band! A big thanks to them for sending me some stuff to play. Make sure you check them out and buy both of their records! Tonight’s Beer Minute was a great East Coast IPA with West Coast flava. That’s right, I said “flava.” I had so much fun doing requests tonight that I decided that next week is going to be an “All Request Weekend” show, meaning all the songs will be requests from you, my loyal listeners. So, make sure you hit me up on Facebook, Twitter, here on the blog, or email me. Send me as many requests as you want. I’m sure I won’t have that many people sending me requests anyway, and I might not have everything you request, either. So, send me a list and I’ll do what I can! | 4/4/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 87: 60′s Garage Punk | This was something new for me. Admittedly, I’m not the biggest garage fan. A lot of garage for me was always either too 60′s sounding, or just not savage enough for me. My mission on this show was to wade through all the garage stuff that I have and pull out the most savage/punk rock tracks I could find. I’m sure someone who is more well versed in 60′s garage could do a lot better than me. I have a limited amount of stuff, mostly compilations. That being said, for those of you, like myself, who may not be into garage for the same reasons as me, maybe this will show you that there really is some good stuff out there, you just have to dig for it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the show! Tonight’s Beer Minute was Founders Centennial IPA. | 3/28/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 86: Covers | All cover songs on the Rock N Roll Manifesto tonight! I hadn’t done an all covers show since around August of 2010, so I figured it was time. These are fun shows to do, and this one was no exception. Had me wondering why I hadn’t done one in so long. Anyway, we had punks covering punks, punks covering country, psychobillies covering garage, etc. You get the idea. Tonight’s Beer Minute was a great, juicy, citric IPA. Top notch. Enjoy the show! | 3/21/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 85 | Back to the same old routine of playing whatever I feel like playing. I tried to play some stuff this week I hadn’t played in a while. Of course, I always try to do that, I just don’t always succeed. I had some requests from the chat which I’m always happy to oblige, an unexpected visit from my Aunt, and two separate Beer Minutes, featuring an Indian Brown Ale and an Imperial Stout. Pretty much what you would expect from a Rock N Roll Manifesto, I suppose. Hope you dig it. | 3/14/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 84: Beer Show 4 | Gentleman Matt returns for the 4th installment of the Rock N Roll Manifesto Beer Show! Matt and Greg tackle aging beers, Untappd, over-hyped beers and seasonals, barleywines, great beers and drain pours, Matt used a breathalyzer on air and more! Oh, yeah, and we play some music, too. Also on this show, Slim, co-host of Junk Therapy, an upcoming show with Gentleman Matt on Real Punk Radio. Lots of geeky craft beer talk. 13 |
ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 83: Prison | Tonight the Rock N Roll Manifesto went where nobody wants to go: prison. All the songs tonight were about prison in one form or another. There was a whole lot of country, some rock n roll, rockabilly, punk, cowpunk and more, all about the slammer. The Beer Minute was an excellent milk stout by Southern Tier Brewing Company. Don’t forget, next week Gentleman Matt will be joining me live for the 4th Rock N Roll Manifesto Beer Show! | 2/29/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 82: Overtime! | Nugget NectarOvertime! This episode of the Rock N Roll Manifesto was 3 full hours of music. I can’t guarantee it will be as good as last week’s episode with Stevie Tombstone, but as I said during the show, what I lack in quality, I made up for in quantity. Ha! Songs were all over the map as usual, with a bunch of requests, band submissions and much more! I got news that Gentleman Matt will be joining me for another episode of the Rock N Roll Manifesto Beer Show on March 7th, and I’m also taking orders for RnR Manifesto t-shirts. If you have any interest in buying a shirt (cheap!), drop me a message either on FB or via email (rnrmanifesto[at]gmail[dot]com) and let me know what size you want, by Thursday evening, Eastern Time, so I can send the order in by Friday. I will try to get a couple extra of different sizes in case people don’t listen to the podcast in time. Alright, enjoy the show!! | 2/22/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 81: Stevie Tombstone | Stevie TombstoneTonight I was joined live in the Rock N Roll Manifesto studios by none other than Stevie Tombstone! Stevie played a whole bunch of songs live on the show (he even took requests), talked about his upcoming tours, his upcoming record and much more! The Beer Minute included A California beer and some wine and we even played some other songs in between all the other goodness. If you missed it live, download it now, folks. 2 hours of greatness! | 2/15/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 80: NOT Valentine’s Day | Keeping up the tradition I started way back in the Sleaze Pit days, this is the NOT Valentine’s Day episode of the Rock N Roll Manifesto. Tune in for songs about heartbreak, breakups, leaving, crying, hate, cheating… You get the picture. Anti-love songs, which, by the way, are always better than love songs themselves. Nothing like a good breakup or something along those lines to inspire some heartfelt lyrics. So, turn it up and say f**k you to the whole Valentine’s Day money machine. This week’s Beer Minute features a fine rye beer from Bear Republic and an overrated Double IPA. | 2/8/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 79 | Back to the normal, if you want to call this “normal.” The Rock N Roll Manifesto returns with the usual mix of styles to pummel your ear holes. A couple of Black History Month sets, a Beer Minute featuring a double IPA, some doo wop, punk rock, blues, soul, R&B, cowpunk, psychobilly, rock & roll, hard rock and more! | 2/1/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 78: Teddy Boy Rock N Roll | Alright, get out your drape coat, your crepe soled shoes and your drain pipe pants and do the Teddy Jive! This weeks Rock N Roll Manifesto was all Teddy Boy Rock N Roll! I’m sure there’s a Ted who’s done a better show somewhere, but if you’ve never heard Ted music before, then I think this is a decent starting point. Check, check, check, check, check, check! It’s all here and more, ladies and gentlemen! The Beer Minute brings an IPA and a Weizen Bock, there were some requests on the fly, and fun was had by all… Or something. After talking to myself (and Mag) for a while, I made people feel guilty and got some people in the chat, which was nice. Hey, make sure you tune in next week for some Teddy Boy Rock & Roll! | 1/18/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 75 | Wow! Episode 75 of the Manifesto! That’s some kinda milestone, I think, right? Seems like it, although surely not as impressive as 100 will be, I guess. Last month the record for downloads of the Manifesto for one month was shattered by you folks by over 1500, so thanks for downloading, listening, and spreading the word! Episode 75 is a cluster f**k as usual, going from hard rock and metal to psychobilly, R&B, punk rock, rock & roll, power pop, thrash metal, trash, glam and more! ExplicitRock N Roll Manifesto 70: Playing Favorites | Tonight’s Rock N Roll Manifesto I gathered together a playlist of my favorite bands of all time, from long time favorites to recent ones. This was probably the easiest episode I ever put together, and I think it turned out to be one Hell of a show. Even though these are all bands you’ve heard on the Manifesto before, I tried, whenever possible, to play songs from those bands I had never played, and I’ve never played all of these bands together in one show before. The Beer Minute returns again with some Belgian styles and you get a healthy dose of rock n roll, power pop, punk rock, hardcore, psychobilly, doo wop, rockabilly, country and more! | 11/30/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
