Some experimental music, some noise. Was a strange show. I had to go where the sound led me. Thank you to Mystified for creating his "Polka Drones". I had challenged him as kind of a dare over Jack Hertz kidding me about the 78s I play at the end of my show (as if polka music could be a bad thing.) Mystified pulled through admirably. I knew he would... A track from the new The Implicit Order release: "Sleeper Catcher/Time Exposure" is featured. I wanted to play more but the general sound of the show led me elsewhere. I do love me some The Implicit Order though, this one a collaboration with artist Mary Shelley. Tracks from the new Loopool: the Field Recordings Project are featured. The show closes with a track from the new release from Ilse: "Soundtracks Vol. 4", Ayn Morgan's: "Compartmental". startartisttitle 00:00nojoinedThe Romance of Morse Code 01:09SubstakMirror 10:01lusrutaFirst Scene 17:52Travis JohnsonC8trah00 20:41Lucas DarklordSide A - (Staff Who Will Help Deliver Prosperity) 25:49Marta ZapparoliDeep In The Black Sheep 30:58Marta ZapparoliTurbulence Of The Soul 37:52Music From the FilmAokigahara Forest 42:30UbuibiPark St Bridge 46:05John TocherCicadas In Front of House At Dusk (2012-05-11) 50:20nojoinedspirits of the ether (crystal mix) 55:46MystifiedBPA120 61:29MystifiedBPD120 63:22MystifiedBPD120 67:56MystifiedBPB120 74:56MystifiedBPC120 83:09AairriaThere But Unseen 116:26Ayankoko & Margaret UnknownLive At Subterrarium 2012-04-27 120:52Abominations of YondoThat Remote and Awful Twilight: Into Futurity 124:10Mary Shelley & The Implicit OrderMittens Lost In The Spookhouse 126:56Steam flowTrain At Night 130:29Don HaugenAeolian Mausoleum 139:48Caterpillars Dressed In Their FinestSubterranean Tide 146:57John TocherRain From Porch (2012-05-11) 148:41EugeneKhaFirst Echo Of A Rain 155:0900xASV (Aformentioned Spiritual Vomit) 159:16ThuuooomInitiation 168:09AlphaxoneEmerging 173:12Ayn MorganCompartmental 175:33F. Cool tracks from Trust.Falls, from their release "The Road To Pinewood". This is a nice fun dark album with some cool samples. I bitched about it being released "all rights reserved" and they changed it to creative commons. I'm glad they did. Thank you. Some of the new release from Impulsive Habitat "Mecha / Orga" is featured. Released today on Buddhist on Fire: Zreen Toyz "Underground Klang", an excerpt from the track "The Schnitzler Suite" is featured. "Juicy, junior. Real juicy". Thanks again to Shane Morris for providing some shortwave samples. I hope he will do some more he has such a great ear. Thanks also to Ayn Morgan for allowing the use of the recording where she is sanding. I had played Voltage earlier in the week and was impressed enough for another go. Several tracks were played/mixed from The Chestnut Tree compilation. I've been listening to this in the car now for over a week. It will be a while yet before I'm through --it is almost six hours of music. Very nice, Ayn Morgan of The Chestnut Tree has been working hard on it for quite a while. Thank you to all the artists who contributed tracks. Featured one this show were tracks from: downercow, (o)thers, Kristus Kut, Dan Minoza and Shane Morris, Mama Baer Hjuler, Shane Morris and Pixyblink, Kirill Platonkin, Altocumulus, and Zreen Toyz. Go download now. You will thank me. Your mother will thank me. Tracks from C. Reider's vuhz music label are featured, Jeff Sampson's "Swarm" and The Euphoric Hum: Flow. I really like this release by Deer: "Deer are three women with laptops and tape decks." So I play a lot of it. Other music worth noting: deafness: "32 teeth", this got a oooh creepy or something in chat, the "Heathen Harvest Samhain Sampler 2011", Christian Galarreta: "Raw field recordings I : Habitacion en Buenos Aires (2011)", and "By Force, The Snoring Oceans" (self titled). Monstrous Fancies | Dark Ambient, Salon Bruit, Drone Sadayatana Podcast #72 Average Bitrate: 144kbps mp3 Download: archive.org Cover: Pere Ginard Podcast Mirror Site: archive.org Direct URL: Monstrous Fancies Review at archive.org: Sadayatana #72 Some tracks from the new Joe Frawley: 13 Houses and The Mermaid . Very groovy as usual. Extensive use was make of the soundtracks of videos by Lifeloop and friends. At first I was just going to play this material as I find it rather compelling but then I discovered it's a type of electro-acoustic music called "Salon Bruit". I'll have to look into this more later but whatever it is, it made up a substantial part of the show. I like it. New Mystified was featured as well. Gotta love those Mystified drones. One track sounded like a trip to Tibet. I hear he got himself a Jiggs pBone --I don't know either, but it sounds cool. Very cool. Also new music from Subterrestrial, Nux Vomica and Gimu. It was a fun show. A bit of a different sound. Some of it is low-fi and low volume. It sounds like you're listening from another room. The effect is good though. startartisttitle 00:00Marshall McLuhanThe Medium is the Massage, Side A 00:16pixyblink666 On The Am Dial 05:35Lifeloop And Medium(H)avareGrange 13:21MystifiedBone Drone 16 17:24Liberty News GroupChoosing Our Future (clip 9 short) 19:35MystifiedBone Drone 18 19:35LiFeLooP and hexlervideo clip of darkness and light (July 9, 2010) 23:14MystifiedBone Drone 17 23:35Liberty News GroupChoosing Our Future (clip 1) 33:11Nux VomicaThe Artifacts of Visitacion (a suite) 43:41Lifeloop and AxoltlShivers/Video (August 1, 2001) 51:12Liberty News GroupChoosing Our Future (clip 8) 52:01Angie Yeowell (USA)14.08.10 - Camp Tipsy, Klein Wall, near Berlin 58:42noisiVil_n_ya_plus_rien (video) (January 16, 2002) 63:16Mahmoud Refat (EG)26.01.07 - Kastanien Allee 77, Prenzlauerberg, Berlin 68:26Lifeloop and ColdComSnuffy, The Video (January 1, 2001) 69:18noisiV and KeyframedVariations_Loire Keyframed 71:30Preslav Literary School (UK)14.08.10 - Camp Tipsy, Klein Wall, near Berlin 74:49Lifeloop, Sylvain Berthaux and Baris DogrusoezBerlin Video Postcard (November 11, 2001) 77:40D'InciseThe fields remain while the recorder has long vanished 83:02Joe FrawleyOne 85:10Nux VomicaNV 47thprop part2 filtered 94:36Lifeloop And Medium(H)avareRawwar Video (November 11, 2007) 101:39Kwisp SturgeonsSecret-Lunchbox 106:31Jon 7undulation 110:53Kirill PlatonkinPines At Sunset (Part 1) 115:23Joe FrawleySome Kind of Womb 119:35GimuExosphere 127:58Lifeloop and AxoltlPrag_Video_Postcard (November 11, 2001) 133:14Mr.LearyForm-Values 139:11Lifeloop/Stoerfan Sender/Fake Mistress/Nexus15.08.10 - Session at the end of the Festival - Camp Tipsy, Klein Wall, near Berlin 151:14GimuHighly Expected pending Doom 162:05SubterrestrialWaveform 164:33Liberty News GroupChoosing Our Future (clip 4) 170:16noisiVil_n_ya_plus_rien (video) (January 16, 2002) 174:50Fake Mistress (DE)30.10.08 - Roxy, NoiseNoD Festival, Prag, Czech Republic 177:56Liberty News GroupChoosing Our Future (clip 10) 178:20Cortijo y su ComboMoliendo Cafe 181:18MystifiedBone Drone 15 It was true that as one watched life in its curious crucible of pain and pleasure, one could not wear over one's face a mask of glass, nor keep the sulphurous fumes from troubling the brain and making the imagination turbid with monstrous fancies and misshapen dreams. There were poisons so subtle that to know their properties one had to sicken of them. There were maladies so strange that one had to pass through them if one sought to understand their nature. - Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray (1890) | 3/17/12 | Free | View In iTunes |
