ExplicitSBXIV 22.5 – After Show | This is an After Show! It's not a "real" episode, just something intended to cover things we may have missed in a previous episode in a more loose and informal way (if that's even possible). So be sure you listen to episode 22 first, the actual show, before you listen to this one. After Shows will usually be available on iTunes a few days later than the normal shows, unless there is something pressing. In this After Show, we continue our discussion about what makes an MMORPG a MMORPG. We do make somewhat of an attempt to try to relate it to FFXIV. But this is more or less a discussion about MMORPGs in general, as unqualified as we are to talk about that sort of thing. But this is an After Show, after all, so no complaints from the peanut gallery. Actually you can let us know what you think. We need feedback on whether these After Shows are a great idea after all, so let us know! LISTEN TO SBXIV 22.5 - AFTER SHOW | 5/24/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSBXIV 22: Double Melded Eyebrows | Yelta is hosting today. A slow news week, again, and a lot of that has been going around lately. But we still manage to find something to discuss. Also, although Aetheryte Camp doesn't make an appearance in the show, we do have one at the very end. So be sure not to miss it. THE BIG STORY Hidden Artifacts A recent event has been going on where players had to answer a series of quiz questions in order to uncover several pieces of concept art. When players found out that one of the pieces of concept art had already been shown before, this started a thread in the forums. We talk about all of that. RANDOM ROUNDTABLE Parties, Static Group vs. Pick Up Groups We talk about the state of FFXIV's 8-man groups and why it's a pain. Eventually the conversation turns to what would be considered an MMORPG. Dunno how we got there but that's extra content for you, the listener. DEV TRACKING Broken Angel Lyrics [Garuda Battle Song] We can replay cutscenes, so now how about music? Map Opacity Update on future UI changes A few answers on Hamlet Defense Battles Action bar delay Regarding active subscriptions confirmation for forum access We have forums now! So if you'd like to sign up and check them out, you're more than welcome to do so. At the moment, we're still trying to set things up and make everything pretty, so there's not a link on the front page, yet. But we plan to have things looking nice by May. We also have a Google+ page. Be sure to go there and add us to your circles! As always, if you want to contact us, you can email us at podcast@zantetsuken.net. | 5/19/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSBXIV 21: Return Of The Sugar Loaf Hat | Calaera is hosting today and as a special surprise Rubicon has returned! He was lured in by the Welcome Back campaign and after doing an episode with us, he's probably regretting it. THE BIG STORY Patch 1.22a went live last week, adding some additional content, bug fixes, new items, and new recipes. We go over the important bits. OTHER NEWS To Our Players Returning Through The Welcome Back Campaign For people taking advantage of the Welcome Back Campaign, SE has put together a mini-guide with information about the changes to the game up to this point. It covers configuration menu changes and some "must-have" settings for mouse and keyboard users. There is also a list of links for all of the patch notes since Patch 1.19 so players can check out all the latest changes to the game. The English Localization Team Wants YOU! SE is looking to hire individuals for the EN Localization Team. But if you had thoughts about hanging out in your bedroom in your jammies at the computer, socializing with the likes of Bayohne and Rukkiri on a level that no one else has ever seen or even heard of before, then you might want to think again. The job does come with a few requirements. THE RUMOR MILL On The Properties Of Beastmen There's a rumor going around that a new Grand Company-purchased key item, "On the Properties of Beastmen", has something to do with the upcoming AF weapons. But is this good news or bad news? DEV TRACKING Notification of Party Invitation A few answers on Hamlet Defense Battles Suspension of character creation: how long? Retainer Linkpearl Notifications SE: Please tone it down a hair We have forums now! So if you'd like to sign up and check them out, you're more than welcome to do so. ExplicitSBXIV 20: It’s Not a Stick, It’s a Pole | Orophen is hosting today and we have a special guest! Fusionx from Aetheryte Radio is here and he means business. Well, not really. There weren't any briefcases or quarterly reports or anything. There was no news, either, this week, but that doesn't mean we didn't have plenty to talk about. PATCH 1.22 - OUR IMPRESSIONS So we’ve all had a chance to experience a bit of Patch 1.22 right? Last week we promised to go more in depth about what we think about the patch and that's just what we did this episode. We’ll be talking about our impressions of the newest patch and what we think of the direction of the game thus far. RANDOM ROUNDTABLE Roundtable this week is about elemental spell reform. And don't get it wrong, this doesn't have anything to do with what the developers are planning to do next. This is strictly player mandated. But the question is: Did BLM/THM get the shaft when it came to elemental spells? Is the elemental system screwed up to high heaven now? You'll find out our take on this. DEV TRACKING Make night time scary Fix Garuda! Sanctions disappearing upon death Happy Birthday Yoshida! AETHERYTE CAMP: Your Thoughts on 1.22! We didn't get very many responses for Aetheryte Camp this week, but that doesn't mean that you missed your chance. We still want to know what you guys think about Patch 1.22. So let us know about it! We'll read your responses on the show! We have forums now! | 5/6/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSBXIV 19: Patch 1.22 Is Impressed With Electric Guitars | Frei is hosting today, but the big news is that Patch 1.22 is here! Expect us to go into more detail about our impressions of the patch next week, after we've had a chance to experience the patch first hand. NEWS: Late Wednesday night, Patch 1.22 dropped with a lot of new changes and additions, including the new Hamlet defense and the Garuda Primal Battle. Then, the results are in! We let you know about the culprits behind Garuda's defeat, and who the winners are in the Predict the Fall of Garuda contest. Yoshida gives us some info on future job adjustments. And finally we discuss a recent problem dealing with the patch as players are suddenly finding items missing from their inventories. DEV TRACKING: New Hat? New Hat! Music Preview for 1.22 LFG gripe Empty maps in 2.0(and new maps in general) Maps redesing (redesign) for 2.0... cities too?! Chocobo Sculpture Where (did) will you log out? We have forums now! So if you'd like to sign up and check them out, you're more than welcome to do so. At the moment, we're still trying to set things up and make everything pretty, so there's not a link on the front page, yet. But we plan to have things looking nice by May. ExplicitSBXIV 18.5 – After Show | This is an After Show! It's not a "real" episode, just something intended to cover things we may have missed in a previous episode in a more loose and informal way (if that's even possible). So be sure you listen to episode 18 first, the actual show, before you listen to this one. After Shows will usually be available on iTunes a few days later than the normal shows, unless there is something pressing. In this After Show, we talk about the Legacy and Welcome Back Campaigns. Since we recorded episode 18 on Thursday, April 19, the news broke the very next day, leaving us in a bit of a bind. Rather than waiting another whole week, we decided to just talk about it anyway. We're still a bit later than we intended in getting this up due to real life commitments and such, but hey, it's here now, so enjoy. ExplicitSBXIV 18: The Oldest Profession | Yelta is hosting her first show today! No the title of this episode doesn't have anything to do with that. When we recorded this episode, it was right before the big news about the Legacy and Welcome Back Campaigns. Not to worry, we're covering this in an upcoming After Show so we won't be behind the loop. We'll get it up as soon as we can. NEWS: Garuda finally makes her appearance in a preview video. Not only that, but the devs want you to guess how long it's going to take before she bites the big one. In return, you get fabulous prizes! We also talk about addressing server slow down, Market Ward adjustments, and Yoshida gives us a little bit more info on what we can expect from version 2.0 later this year. RANDOM ROUNDTABLE: Do We Need To Revamp FFXIV To Be More Like FFXI? A player in the forums asks if people want the Devs to create a game that will truly challenge the player base. Apparently this means a complete overhaul and return back to what FFXI was. We discuss how we feel about this. DEV TRACKING: Change Parsimony please Yoshida strikes again We have forums now! So if you'd like to sign up and check them out, you're more than welcome to do so. ExplicitSBXIV 17: Cat Says No To The Content Finder | Calaera is hosting today and Yelta returns to host with us. And we have a very special announcement regarding Yelta at the start of the podcast, so don't skip ahead too quickly! NEWS: Quite a few worlds are full and as a result, character creation is no longer possible on those worlds. We also run through the newest news about what's coming up in Patch 1.22, the new Armorie feature and Materia Reform. THIS WEEK IN LORE: Hatching-tide: Shell-Shocked Giant turtles run rampant in the conclusion to the Hatching-Tide event. Well at least it would've been nice to see that. RANDOM ROUNDTABLE: Gear Swapping: Love It or Hate it? Huge debate on the forums about whether or not gear swapping is needed in the game again. Is gear swapping a helpful and engaging mechanic that will add more depth to the game? Or is it just annoying? Content Finder Is a Content Finder/Dungeon Finder feature the destroyer of worlds? Or just a nice, happy-go-lucky, helpful way to get things done? DEV TRACKING: No plans to allow the new materia to be purchased using guild marks Teleportation - Minor Suggestion Multiple linkshells suggestion We have forums now! So if you'd like to sign up and check them out, you're more than welcome to do so. ExplicitSBXIV 16.5 – After Show | We covered a few things we missed during episode 16 by doing a new thing we're calling the After Show. If you don't know about our After Shows, they aren't full episodes. They're just intended to cover the things we missed in a more loose and informal way (if that's even possible). So be sure you listen to episode 16 first, the actual show, before you listen to this one. After Shows will usually be available on iTunes a few days later than the normal shows, unless there is something pressing. In this After Show, we talk about PLD vs WAR some more and cover some Dev Tracking we missed. LISTEN TO SBXIV 16.5 - AFTER SHOW | 4/9/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSBXIV 16: Dalamud is a Tardis | Orophen is hosting today, and Yelta joins us again for another episode. It's another slow FFXIV news week, but we do the best we can with what we have and still manage to have a little fun doing it. NEWS: Culinary Creation Contest Winners! THIS WEEK IN LORE: Grand Companies of Eorzea Page Updated: Dalamud Nigh RUNNING DARKHOLD: We talk tactics and techniques about one of the older dungeons, Dzemael Darkhold. RANDOM ROUNDTABLE: Should We Remove Classes and Just Have Jobs? Are classes and jobs redundant? Should the dev team simply have enhanced classes so that they are similar to what we have with jobs today? We discuss this issue during the Random Roundtable. DEV TRACKING: Instanced Raid Congestion We have forums now! So if you'd like to sign up and check them out, you're more than welcome to do so. At the moment, we're still trying to set things up and make everything pretty, so there's not a link on the front page, yet. But we plan to have things looking nice by May. Also, don't forget to check out another work in progress, Calaera's new site, Unimaginative.me. As always, if you want to contact us, you can email us at podcast@zantetsuken.net. ExplicitSBXIV 15: Black Mages Don’t Wear Pants | Frei is hosting today while Orophen takes a bit of a break. Calaera and Yelta are still around to make things exciting though! THE BIG STORY: Letter from the Producer XXVI Yoshida graces us with another Letter From the Producer, with a preview of what we can expect for the next patch update. We go over the details. ANOTHER BIG STORY: Patch 1.21a Patch 1.21a arrived with some new features, bug fixes, and recipe changes. PLD gets an update also. Orophen isn't here to give his take on it, but we go over the particulars. OTHER NEWS: The world merger has completed, but there's a bit of snag. Mostly to the tune of unsubscribed characters not being carried over until later. Ul'dah's inns are broken again. And the new Hatching-Tide event is in full swing. DEV TRACKING: Update on future UI changes Some words about the future direction of FFXIV's music Players ask devs to release a 16 person 4 hour long dungeon We'd also like the thank KingofCosmos from the FFXIV subreddit for mentioning our podcast there! We appreciate the support! Also, be sure to check out a great Youtube channel from a guy by the name of Kurokikaze01. He has quite a bit of detailed and informative videos about the game, patch updates, and more. You can find it here. ExplicitSBXIV 14: Roegadyn Sausage | Orophen is hosting this week and although news has been slow this week since Patch 1.21, we still find plenty to talk about. NEWS Culinary Creation Contest Can you cook? Can you pretend you can cook? Can you pretend you can cook with pretend ingredients from a fictional world? Then you've probably been waiting for this contest. The devs want you to send in a make-believe recipe for their contest and the prize is a virtual item. We don't even know what's real anymore. THIS WEEK IN LORE Grand Companies of Eorzea Page Updated: Garleans in the Vale Beware the Goldbile and the Gold Lung. Still no sign of Goldfinger. RANDOM ROUNDTABLE A new segment we're working on (name tentative) where we talk about the hot button topics going on in the FFXIV community. Feel free to write in and let us know what you think. The Problem with Paladin There's a discussion going on about the failings of PLD as a tank. Is it true? We take a look at the discussion in the forums and give our impressions on it. Powerleveling - Acceptable or Not? Is powerleveling dragging the game down and making it into something undesirable? Or is it a helpful feature that should not be looked down on? DEV TRACKING Information about Free Company primals in 2.0 http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/38486?p=600369#post600369 | 3/24/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSBXIV 13: That’s a Marmot! | Calaera's hosting this week, using her destructive powers for good instead of evil. The Big Story: FFXIV Player's Poll the Third starts off the episode, and we take a look at the questions the devs gave us and try to get a handle on what we have to look forward to for 2.0. Other News: Update on 2.0 Client, Yoshida posts on the NA forums and causes a stampede, and this time FFXIV is doing it for the ladies. Dev Tracking How to Set Up the 5.1ch Audio Output (Windows 7 / Vista) http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/39903-Enjoy-FINAL-FANTASY-XIV-in-5.1ch-Surround-Sound%21?p=592494#post592494 Gildrein, one of the community reps provides some tips in getting 5.1 surround setup on your computer. Changes to Gatherable Items http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/39024-patch1.21-Patch-1.21-Notes?p=580998&viewfull=1#post580998 The devs noticed they forgot to post the updates to gathering and the patch notes for 1.21 have been updated to include these changes. Spellcasting and movement http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/32627-Moving-will-be-made-to-interrupt-spellcasting-at-a-point-in-time...?p=589940#post589940 Rukkirii provides us with a translated response from YoshiP regarding spellcasting and movements and the limitations of the current server. He talks about the reasoning behind the current issues with spellcasting with the lag as well as possibilities of allowing us to disable queues in 1.22. Monsters will also lose the ability to cast while moving except for specific ones that have this as a unique trait. YoshiP also suggests the use of Crowd Control abilities to keep the monster in check when doing combos which require specific facing. The issue will be corrected in 2.0. Random note: Hints that YoshiP maybe a fighting game fan I’m sorry; I’ve always been a big fan of cancelling actions.^^; Trading Ifirit and Moogle Weapons for Grand Company Seals http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/39038-moogle-and-ifrit-weapons-not-to-be-traded-for-seals?p=589461#post589461 The devs are looking into this. Might be useful for those weapons you don’t want to keep that they keeps throwing in your lap. Food Effects hover tool-tip http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/34445-Food-Effects?p=587312#post587312 Devs are looking into having the icons across the top of the screen show the effects of food. Currently you can only see this by looking at the micro menu when scarfing down food. The world is crashing! http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/39197-who-broke-the-lobby%21?p=587285#post587285 Apparently there’s a memory bug in the new inn system and new features of 1.21 which are causing some worlds cities and instances to crash. This is being worked on as we speak. A lobby server bug is causing problems with chat on some servers which causes for some unusual chat problems. ExplicitSBXIV 12: Patch 1.21 Has Glowing Laser Eyes | The Big Story Patch 1.21 arrived on Thursday and although we hadn't had the chance to explore it fully, we thought we'd give our take on what's so great about it. Or do we?! You'll be sure to hear our first impressions in this episode, and next episode we'll let you know what we think after we've had some time to play around with it a bit. Other News We take a look at the Preview video showing off the Cutter's Cry instanced dungeon and Yoshida tells MMORPG.com about the future of FFXIV. Mailbag Mailbag? You mean we actually have fans? Fans that email us? Well we have at least one. We give it a good read and a good answer. You can email us too if you like. Just send us a question or comment at podcast@zantetsuken.net. ExplicitSBXIV 11: To Catch A Roegadyn | Frei is hosting today, while Yelta returns as a very special guest. We finally hear back from Yoshida in the latest Letter from the Producer, and we talk about changes to spell casting and get preview of several job weapon skills. We read some love letters to each other, but we find out that Roegadyn with mustaches are pretty pervy. We didn't cover everything, since we were short on time today, but we did manage to get a bit of Aetheryte Camp in. Do you subscribe to us in iTunes? You do?! Then leave us a five star review if you love us so dang much! Seriously, it'd help us out a lot. We'd be ever so grateful. Also don't forget to drop us a comment or two. If you tickle our fancy, we'll talk about you on the show. I promise we'll be gentle. | 3/5/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSBXIV 10: Gungnir Is A Race Car | On today's show, Rubicon and Frei are out, Calaera is hosting, and she's stuck all alone with Orophen. A triple whammy! We start things off by talking about the New, New World Merger plan by Yoshida. Second time's a charm? Food and medicine get revamps, while we get more details about Private Player Residences. Love is in the air with the Valentione's Day Love Letter Contest and we wrap it all up with a bit of Dev Tacking. | 2/19/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSBXIV 09: Occupy World Merge | Yelta Sumasu joins us today as a guest. Be kind to her because she's a great gal. She even put up with all of our crazy shenanigans. We tried to have a talk about Gamer Safety Week. Yoshida decides we need more jewels and rings. And crafters get a revamped HQ item system so they can craft more HQ items while they craft their HQ items with their HQ items. Then we start feeling a bit slighted about the upcoming world mergers. Then we get weird with horses and voice chat on Dev Tracking. Note: Although we complain about the world merger here, Yoshida actually changed his mind hours after we recorded this episode. Don't worry, it's all explained here. Those of you who subscribe to us on iTunes! Leave us a freaking review! Email us at the usual podcast@zantetsuken.net if you have any questions/comments/beratings. Also, check out Yelta's blog, The Sumasu Sisters, and show her some love! She loves comments. | 2/13/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSBXIV 08: Goobs | Orophen is the host this time and @ShouriElemente returns as a guest. Calaera starts off the podcast close to death. And things get a bit crazy this time around, the first time in a while that we've gotten this loose. Don't worry, we'll be on our best behavior next episode. We promise. The Big Story We've got a double dose of Letters from the Producer. The first letter, XIII is surprisingly news-less. Just a lot of new year’s shenanigans. Letter XXIV is all about the upcoming Patch 1.21. Yoshida himself is touting that "Patch 1.21 is going to be the biggest patch yet since the launch of FFXIV service." The Other Big Story Direct payments from our credit cards to SE. Finally. Other News 1.20c Patch Notes, chocolate, and lore about a cult called the Lambs of Dalamud kidnapping people off the streets. But what does it mean? We finish things off with a bit of Dev Tracking and Aetheryte Camp too. | 2/5/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

We also have Dev Tracking and Aetheryte Camp today, finally getting to your responses about what you want for 2012. Also, Starbucks for chocobos, lalafell bellies, and Orophen doesn't want you listening. It's a show this time. And yeah, no real album/banner art this time, but you'll be fine. ExplicitSBXIV 06: Hairy Cats and Pretty Gollums | Not much going on this week. We continue the ritual beating of the dead horse known as the FFXIV billing system. Heavensturn is coming to a close, creepy Goobbue snowman and all. Calaera drools over the new male Miqo'te in game renders that surfaced last week, and condemns Rubicon for having a hairy chest. And our boy Yoshida decides that moving while casting spells is so 2011 during Dev Tracking. Enjoy the show! | 1/16/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSequence Break XIV 05: Show Wants a Lazy Tax | In this episode, we have a special guest! ShouriElemente joins us to talk about various things. We only hope he doesn't regret it in the end. We talk about Patch 1.20a and the current Heavensturn event. We discuss a lazy tax for the lazy, and the discussion gets a bit heated up when we start talking about New Year's resolutions. Unfortunately we never got to any resolutions. We even get into a little Dev Tracking this time. It's the Year of the Dragon! Check out the show below! | 1/2/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSequence Break XIV 04: A Special Mayan Christmas | Today's episode, Orophen reveals he's part Time Lord. The dev team throws more auction house features into the market ward system, Gamer Escape comes down the chimney with the surprise Yoshida interview questions, and there's a new Letter From the Producer to poke at. In the letter, Yoshida gives us a screenshot of all the upcoming jobs in their respective race specific armors, so we have a time analyzing that thing. Also, we throw in a little dash of Dev Tracking. Merry Christmas ya crazies! Enjoy the show! | 12/25/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSequence Break XIV 03: Snow Goobbues | Orophen is back this week, and we talk about Patch 1.20. It's a big'un. But is it the patch that will finally get some coin into SE's coffers? We'd tell you to listen and find out for yourself, but we're too busy squawking about the Good King Moggle Mog XII Cometh primal battle. In addition, Yoshida and his pals are tossing out Game of Thrones references for the Starlight Celebration event this year and we want a Snow Goobbue battle. Now. We also get down and dirty with some Aetheryte Camp. Keep those Snow Goobbue warm and toasty in your pants and enjoy the show. | 12/18/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSequence Break XIV 02: Enjoy Our Pessimism | It's just Calaera, Rubicon, and Frei today. Orophen was swallowed whole by a motherless cow. In the meantime, we talk about the billing situation in FFXIV. Is the price right? Or is the dev team barking up the wrong money tree? We talk about achievements, why they suck, and why they're great. Player search and the new market features are the big thing at the end of the year. Is it enough to make FFXIV worth paying for? We also have a healthy dose of Dev Tracking. Don't worry. We don't go over the recommended dosage. Hold onto your boot straps. Things are going to get a little pessimistic. Also, we did note on twitter that we would be reading your Aetheryte Camp responses in this episode. We've decided to wait until next episode, so you still have time to discuss the latest Aetheryte Camp topic with us! Head on over and let us know what you think. | 12/10/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSequence Break XIV 01: The Multicolored Mandragora Clone Army | Our very first episode of the podcast with the new name! This episode was recorded on Sunday, December 4th. At the time there were no details about how FFXIV would handle the billing situation, and we mention that in this episode. Since then, some information has been released. You can go here to find out about it, but basically you're paying 9.99. 25% discount. Yay? News Letter from the Producer, XXI Patch 1.20 is going to be delayed by roughly 10 days according to the letter. Whatever that means. Since we were never given an official release date. The extended free trial period won’t end until 1.20 has been out for a while. (We now know the extended trial period will end on January 5, 2012.) Today's Big Story Sneak Peak at Dark Moogle Loot We have a look at the brand new weapons players will be able to grab as a reward for the upcoming Good King Moggle Mog XII Battle. It's really grotesque. Just how Orophen likes it. AETHERYTE CAMP Your Fantasy End Game What would you picture as the perfect end game? Would you want more dungeons? More instanced raids? More over world NMs? Or something new and completely different? We read your responses and offer our own opinions as well. DEV TRACKING Mandragoras are coming! Calaera goes gaga for mandragora. As it should be. Those little buggers are probably one of the best things about FFXI and FFXII. So all of us can't wait to see them make an appearance. No dyeing for AF armor In a thread called “Question about Job "AF Armor" a player wanted to know if it would be possible to choose the color of the AF gear you receive. Devs responded that it wouldn’t be possible. People get called morons. Hijinks ensue. Rubicon tells it like it is in this one. | 12/6/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitGo Team Derp 14: They Have Magic Feet | We apologize for the lateness, but we've got some big news this episode. It's all about the future of the podcast, information that could affect the future of this reality as we know it. Also on today's episode, the big gear dyeing controversy. Players were all up in arms about it, so the FFXIV dev set up a plan to tackle it. But wait! There's more! I'm talking about the big Class Reform. Classes are destroyed and remade. Spells are dropped and rejiggered. And Monks get magic feet. Calaera has a brand spanking new segment for us called Aetheryte Camp, and we get some Dev Tracking today. Like this episode? Don't like it? Leave us a comment and tell us aaaaaaalllll about it. Or you could just email us at podcast@zantetsuken.net. | 11/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitGo Team Derp 13: Shut Up About the Pet | Frei is hosting. Calaera's dying. Rubicon is MacGyver. And Orophen's new mic is really s****y. Because of that, he may sit out the next few episodes until he can replace it with a proper one. He'll miss you all. Every single one of you. Today’s Big Story Letter from the Producer LIVE Part II The live broadcast was in Japanese, but just like last time, a live translation was provided by FFXIV’s official English twitter account of all the questions and answers talked about during the event. We talk about that, and share in our dislike about wyvern pets. And we even get into mounts, jumping, and Magitek Armor! And please excuse the sound issues with Orophen's mic again this week. We promise not to let him near the podcast again until he gets that worked out! | 11/7/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitGo Team Derp 12: Playing Minecraft XIV | We're back on a regular schedule, but we're still having audio issues. Mainly Orophen just has to get a new mic. So bear with us and hopefully we'll have it worked out by next episode. Rubicon and Frei Get a Word In Since Calaera and Orophen took over earlier this week to talk about FFXIV 2.0, Rubicon and Frei finally get their chance to give their opinion on the upcoming massive change to FFXIV. We try our best to give them a chance to talk. Today’s Big Story Letter from the Producer LIVE Part II Yoshi-P will do another Letter From The Producer LIVE broadcast on November 3, 2011 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific. The topic of the broadcast will include content from the recent release of Patch 1.19, upcoming content from the approaching Patch 1.20, and also what we can expect from the game beyond that. We're looking forward to Wada doing a whole Gallagher routine for us this time. Patch 1.19 Impressions We discuss our impressions of Patch 1.19 so far. We haven't experienced all the content, so it's not a full review. We'll talk more about that as we get further in the game. Other News New interviews this week, which means new information to sift through: Free Company info, new classes, a Legendary Weapon system, and Ifrit is just too good for those lowly Summoners. ExplicitGo Team Derp 11: Old Tidus vs the Version 2.0 | We're really getting these out late huh? This episode we talk about Version 2.0. Also, apologies if the sound is worse than before. Orophen's headset pretty much imploded over the weekend, so he's going to sound like he's trapped in a metal chamber, underwater, being attacked by a 1000 metal bees until he can get his hands on a new one. Here's what's up for episode 11. The Big 2.0 It’s been more than a week since the initial announcement of 2.0. By now, just about everybody already knows about it, so Calaera and Orophen give their take on the upcoming changes. Also, we believe in the real time render, and subscriptions are being reinstated. Yes, it's gonna happen. Yoshida don't even care if you don't pay. Pow. The Big Interviews Yoshida has been making the rounds of all the FFXIV communities and gaming websites, handing out interviews in an attempt to get the word out about Version 2.0 of Final Fantasy XIV. We've picked out a few of the topics we found interesting. We talk about the upcoming storyline that will appear in the game in the months leading up to 2.0. Seamless zones are going away, and Yoshida thinks that's a good thing. And there may be a possibility of playing FFXIV on the PlayStation Vita in the future. ExplicitGo Team Derp 10: Joining the Communist Squad | We take it a bit easy this episode. It's hard doing this every week you know. We're behind a little bit, but we'll be rushing to catch up in news rather quickly. Unfortunately we had the bad luck of recording this episode the day before the big FFXIV 2.0 release. So expect the fabled bonus episode some time later today where we'll talk about FFXIV 2.0. Today's Big Story We talk about the Letter From The Producer Live broadcast that happened on the 4th. A lot of new information was given to us by Yoshi-P, and although although all of our questions weren't answered, Wada's comedy routine made up for it. Another Big Story FFXIV's Patch 1.19a went live a lot earlier than we thought it would! Powerleveling is getting a bad rap in the forums, and SE ruffles some feathers with a flawed release of the new dyeing system. And also... The first NA Linkshell has defeated Ifrit in Hard Mode, and they just happen to be the second linkshell ever to do it. The Grand Companies page gets an update, including a new hero recognition system. And All Saint's Wake girl is pretty cute. We still haven't decided on a name yet. Actually if you listeners have any ideas, leave a comment here, or send us an email at podcast@zantetsuken.net. ExplicitGo Team Derp 9: Chocobo of Thrones | This is more of an extra episode, but we're still counting it as episode 9. Warning, it's fairly long, so don't download it if you're not willing to sit through hours of untalented individuals doing untalented things. This one was meant to be a bonus episode last week, but because of various issues we weren't able to release it on time. So we're releasing it this week instead. So, it's a bit behind of what's been going on recently. We'll still release another episode later this week about what we think of Patch 1.19 post-release. Today's Big Story We talk about the patch notes for Patch 1.19 of Final Fantasy XIV, released on September 30. The upcoming patch is a massive and there's a lot to cover here, so there's no way we can possibly cover it all. We do try to talk about the things that are important to us, so you can hear our initial take on the patch before it went live on October 4. Headline News Final Fantasy XIV Producer/Director Yoshida Naoki broadcast a live Letter From the Producer session on Youtube Live the morning of October 4. We talk about what we hope to see from the broadcast. Calaera thinks Yoshida is secretly Batman. Final Fantasy XI Hiromichi Tanaka released a statement about why there isn’t much communication from the producer on the FFXI forums. We make a big fuss about it. Dev Tracking No Dev Tracking this week. If we did a Dev Tracking segment along with everything else, you guys would be still listening to this episode in your 90s. Just a reminder that Go Team Derp! Podcast is going to be going through some changes soon. We'll announce more on the site but expect a name change for the podcast to lead the charge. | 10/6/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitGo Team Derp 8: It’s a Barcher | Today's Big Story At a recent Tokyo press conference, Square Enix CEO Wada Yoichi says that the entire Final Fantasy franchise has been damaged by Final Fantasy XIV. Is he right? We hash things out and decide for ourselves. Headline News Pat 1.19 release date has been pushed back. We're not worried though. Pushing things back is better than releasing too early, of course. We also talk about the Ifrit Battle teaser video and it is completely awesome. Rubi gets down with the music from the Beastmen Strongholds video preview. Chocobos and airships are announced, at last. We examine the Famitsu Connect! On cover that shows off what could only be the upcoming jobs in patch 1.20. And we just barely prevent Barcher from tearing us apart... Letter from the Producer XIX and Ifrit Battle Teaser Video Beastmen Strongholds Preview Famitsu Connect! On Cover Dev Tracking ...only to let crafters not being able to get their own chocobos without a battle class finish the job. The discussion gets pretty heated, but don't worry, we're all friends here. More details on Caravan missions follow, as well as an announcement about chat channels, and Grand Company rewards for all classes. Just a reminder that Go Team Derp! Podcast is going to be going through some changes soon. We'll announce more on the site but expect a name change for the podcast to lead the charge. | 9/29/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitGo Team Derp 7: Shooting Yourself With Your Gungun | This week, Calaera is here and there and everywhere, Orophen is a dragon, and Rubi's cat is strung out on crack. Frei takes the reins and is the man in charge for this episode. In this week's episode: Headline News Final Fantasy XI FFXI has a new event. Buffalo herding. We reminiscence about the few events in the past that were actually fun and great. We also talk about the state of the game today, and what it would take to really get us excited what's to come for FFXI. Final Fantasy XIV SquareEnix is doing a job search! We talk about the fact that SE seems trying to beef up the FFXIV dev team. Also, Garlean forces have the best armor. And the best weapons. And the best weapons with guns attached to them. Guildleve adjustments, UI adjustments, and more content in the form of escort missions and beastmen strongholds is released. More content is always a yummy treat. Dev Tracking Final Fantasy XI EX item delivery and stack size increases are announced. More inventory slots for you! That's great, kid. You've worked hard for this up until now. Final Fantasy XIV Most of the changes announced as of late have been heavily crafting-centric, so there's more of that this podcast as well. Repair system changes leave us scratching our heads for the most part. Rubi really really hates Barbie Dress Up. ExplicitGo Team Derp 6: Marmot Plus Chemicals Equals Carbuncle? | Calaera's back this week, fresh from cleansing herself after attending PAX. Unfortunately Frei is gone. He split for Dragon Con, which is way more important than our little rinky-dink sweatshop that we call a podcast around here. We're a little late putting up this week's episode because of League of Legends (Orophen is really good at procrastinating), but we're finally updated and we hope you enjoy. Voidwatch, the new FFXI test server, Undine, and a veritable plethora of FFXIV updates are on the menu today. We talk about the new claiming and linking systems introduced recently, Yoshi-P hits us with a new Letter From the Producer, and we only spend the minimum time talking about crafting this session. We swear. Orophen also chimes in this time with some s****y analogies. That guy...who does he think he's fooling? Oh, by the way, Rubicon is the Head Chef today. If you hadn't realized it yet, we're taking turns with hosting duties. We hope it's not TOO confusing. Reach us at podcast@zantetsuken.net to leave us any question or comments. Other podcasts mentioned on this episode, Limit Break Radio and The Dodo Stampede. Give em a listen and tell em we sent ya. | 9/4/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitGo Team Derp 5: Coeurl Stalking | This is our 5th episode, and we had the bad luck to record it right before some heavy updates by the dev team of FFXIV over the last couple of days. This was actually recorded on Thursday, August 25, right before the release of new info. So I guess we'll just have to pick up what we missed next time. Calaera couldn't join us for this episode either, and you can probably tell that she pumps a lot of energy into our little recordings. But hopefully she'll be back around next week. We did have some audio issues this time. We're still working out the kinks so bear with us. One day we'll get this perfect. Or reasonably passable. I would like to say this though. I think we're doing alright for a beginner podcast. None of us are professionals unfortunately and it probably shows. We're definitely not the best podcast out there, but we're working hard. More than anything we've decided this is something we're going to do for fun. Because, ultimately? If we don't enjoy what we're doing then there's no point in doing it. We'll be trying our best to improve ourselves along the way, so I hope those of you that have tuned in so far will hang in there with us. Even if you tuned in and decided you didn't like us, I'm hoping you'll tune in again some time and give us another chance. We're doing this for fun, but it's more fun when you have people who listen, right? Contact us at podcast@zantetsuken.net for various stuffs. Yeah yeah, I know. I've been promising some updates to the site and other things. When I'm not swamped with work and things and have some free time, I'll do some tinkering don't worry. For future reference, we're going to try to have a new episode up every Saturday. We'll try anyway, no guarantees. If we guaranteed anything, then you might actually expect something out of us. But yeah, keep an eye out for us. | 8/26/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitGo Team Derp 4: Womp Womp | This one is especially long since we had a lot to cover over the past week, so we hope you'll bear with us. A lot of love and care went into this one. Along with a lot of derp. We cover the usual suspects. Dynamis adjustments and job adjustments in FFXI. Followed by plethora of changes announced for FFXIV last week along with the Letter of the Producer XVI. We even have a new segment this time: Drama Llama. Look forward to it. I think somewhere near the middle of the podcast, Orophen loses it. Sillily is the new hotness. Take a listen using the player below, and don't hesitate to contact us at podcast@zantetsuken.net for your question and comment needs. | 8/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitGo Team Derp 3: Those shiny crotches will get you | Frei returns for this episode, and we've been neglecting FFXI, so this time we have a little chat about the upcoming level cap increase and SE's Job Adjustments Manifesto. But not before Rubicon reveals his sparkly underpants. Orophen mispronounces more words, while Calaera exposes just how much she loves blowing things up. As far as FFXIV goes, we talk about the worst offender in the history of eggplant body fetishes and shiny man-junk, the Fireball Faire event. Yes folks, shiny underoos is an event. And in an encore performance of epic proportions, Rubicon sings the Dev Tracking theme song again. If you don't download this episode, then maybe you should re-evaluate yourself and your place in this world. | 8/15/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitGo Team Derp 2: Doing a Pose Position With the Sea Horror | This one was a bit late since we meant to get things up before patch 1.18a. So if you're listening to this episode now, the patch has already gone online, and yeah, we're aware of that! So no snooty emails! We talk a lot about Patch 1.18a in this one and we even find some time to do some Dev Tracking. We're gradually homing in on getting things out on a regular schedule, so bear with us for a bit please. Oh, and let us know at podcast@zantetsuken.net if you have any questions or comments! | 8/10/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitGo Team Derp 1: That Mage is a Shady Mage with a SS Sword Rank | At the beginning of the month we put out our pilot episode. This time we're giving you our first official episode of Go Team Derp. We're a bit rough around the edges, but we're planning on getting there eventually. This one's a bit late since we had a bit of trouble getting it up, so it's dated July 29, 2011. Hopefully we'll be able to get these up on a weekly basis, and another one is in the works, so you'll another one very soon. So keep an eye out for us. Oh, and don't forget to drop us a line at podcast@zantetsuken.net for any questions or comments you might have! | 8/6/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
