Don't Hate, Do Confront | Do you struggle with anger? Many people do and it is the source of many problems. The scriptures give much important guidance to us in how to deal with anger. The application of this teaching will help you to deal with anger in a G-dly way. Given May 5, 2012 from Parashot Acharei Mot (After the Death) and K'doshim (Holy People) Leviticus 16 - 20. | 5/7/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Firstfruits/Resurrection | What is the misunderstanding concerning the connection between the day that the "omer" count starts in Jewish tradition and the resurrection of the Messiah? What did the Messiah impart to His followers on the day He resurrected? How are we to understand the seeming duplication of that impartation of that impartation that happened fifty days later? Given on Firstfruits/Resurrection Day, April 8, 2012 | 4/13/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Children and Passover | In Jewish tradition Passover is a special time for children. The tradition developed out of the instruction in the Torah, in Exodus 12:26-27, to use the Passover Seder as a vehicle for teaching our children the history of our people and the covenant relationship we have with G-d. Rabbi Jim applies this instruction to parents to other areas of spiritual child rearing, especially to raising teen agers. He ends with an in depth understanding of the role of fathers. There is a correlation between how Yeshua taught his followers to pray in Matthew 6:9 and the ancient sacrifices in Leviticus. This teaching begins with the how to's and ends us with a challnege to practice Yeshua's example and to "stand, believe and yeild" in prayer. | 2/10/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

To Be A Maccabee | December 17, 2011 Chanukkah. Rabbi Ben speaks about Chanukkah from the book of 1 Maccabees. Looking at how the Maccabees stood up for the Torah, and fought for the right to worship G-d we gain light on how we should act in our current society. Taking a hard look at the current climate of political correctness and public opinion we find the G-dly ideals which the Maccabees fought for are once again under great attack. From homosexuality, abortions, to the basic freedom to express ones beliefs, the society of today would seek to censor those who seek to speak the truth of G-d against sin. Rabbi Ben calls us to take a stand in addressing these issues head on, but with great love. Attacking the sin and not the sinners. He stresses the need to engage in open conversation to make known the truth as it is written in the word of G-d. | 2/9/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

As A Sign On Your Hand | January 28, 2012 Rabbi Ben teaches from Parashah Bo (Go) Exodus 10:1 - 13:16. He gives a new understanding of the phrase "a sign on your hand and frontlets between your eyes". Looking deeper at the story of the Ten Plagues, we gain a greater understanding of what it must have been like to live through and bear witness to such judgments of G-d. With this understanding we gain new light on why G-d gave us the Passover to be a sign of his power and glory. Rabbi Ben then takes this understanding and brings it to look at our own lives to see how we can take our own testimonies of G-d love toward us, especially through the Messiah, to be a constant sign to others. | 2/9/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Shabbat Manna | February 4, 2012. Rabbi Jim teaches from Parashah B'shelakh (He Sent) Exodus 13:17-17:16 focusing on chapter 16 where the people of Israel were tested by G-d concerning food and rest. The tests concering rest contain the first instrucitons in the Torah for keeping Shabbat and reveal the great love of G-d for His people as well as His great understanding of human nature. Isaiah's instruction that "we delight in the Shabbat" is discussed and the real meaning of Shabbat as a sign. Rabbi Jim concludes with an explanation of how the Messianic Movement is called to restore Shabbat. | 2/7/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Forgiveness | December 31, 2011. Rabbi Jim teaches from Parashah Vayigash (He Approached) Genesis 44:18 - 47:27 on the story of Yosef. He focuses on Yosef's brother's repentance and on Yosef forgiving his brothers. The origin of forgiveness in our culture is explored and the progressive revelation in the scriptures of God's forgiveness and man's forgiveness of his fellow man are outlined. Rabbi Jim points out how the B'rit Hadashah (New Covenant) "completes" the teaching of the Tenakh (Hebrew Scriptures) concerning the importance of us forgiving each other. He explains the negative effects of unforgiveness and gives practical understanding of what is meant by Biblical forgiveness. | 1/4/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Mashaikh Ben Yosef | December 24, 2011 Rabbi Jim teaches from Parashah Mikeitz (At The End) Genesis 41:1 - 44:17. The ancient rabbi's were expecting Mashiakh Ben Yosef, a Mashiakh who would be like Yosef (Joseph), who suffered as a servant and saved his people from famine. According to the B'rit Hadashah (New Covenant) Yeshua fulfilled these expectations of a suffering Mashiakh. Therefore we should be able to learn something about the Mashiakh from the account of Yosef in Genesis. In studying Yosef's story we learn that his greatest suffering was due to his being separated from his father who loved him. This insight helps us to understand that the greatest source of Yeshua's suffering was from His being separated from His Father God especially while He was atoning for the sins of the world and also during the entire time He spent here on Earth. Rabbi Jim ends with an insight on how Yeshua was able to connect with His Father G-d during the last three years He was here, and how we must learn to connect with Our Father in Heaven in the same way. | 12/29/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Torah of Messiah | December 10, 2011. Rabbi Jim teaches from Parashah Vayishlach (He Sent) Genesis 32:4 - 36:43. This teaching focuses on the rape of Dinah and explains how lawless society was in those days. Rabbi Jim explains that our law abiding society didn't just happen, but came about as a result of our forefathers receiving and applying God's law. He then defines the meaning of the Hebrew word Torah as instruction, rather than simply law, pointing out passages in the Books of Moses that deal with subjects other than laws. B'rit Hadashah (New Covenant) Scriptures are then brought forth that show that the B'rit Hadashah clarifies and adds to God's laws given in the Tenakh (Hebrew Scriptures). Rabbi Jim concludes with David Stern's translation of Hebrews 8:6 which states that the B'rit Hadashah "has been given (by G-d) as Torah" and explores the implications of that statement. | 12/15/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Adonai Tzva'ot (The Lord of Armies) | December 3, 2011. Rabbi Jim teaches from Parashah Vayetze (He Went Out) Genesis 28:10 - 32:3. This teaching is about Ya'akov's dream in which he saw angels ascending and descending on a stairway that stretched from Earth to heaven. These angels are our poweful ally in our battle against Ha Satan (the Adversary). They are G-d's spirit army. Rabbi Jim describes this army, its numbers, its powers, its role in our lives and its commander and he encourages us to have incrreased confidence in our efforts to destroy Ha Satan's kingdom because we have this army as our ally. | 12/7/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
