Hilarious and Informative!

If you are an SCA Member or even if you just have an interest in the Medieval period you will love this podcast. Hosted by two well-beloved members of the SCA Kingdom of An Tir, events maestro Baron Tryggvy Landstaker and armorer-extraordinaire Master Sigismund Helmschmied, the ’cast covers a wide range of topics from SCA events around the world to medieval food, history, and lifestyles. Plenty of humor keeps the podcast moving quickly from topic to topic. You’ll bust a gut listening to these guys while at the same time filling your brain with all manner of Medieval trivia. And if you’re an SCA member there’s no better way to keep up with all the happenings within the Society.

Loving it

This is the best SCA podcast out there...ok well even if it was not the only one it is still great. I have found this to be the perfect way for me to get my SCA fix between events. The hosts have a good chemistry that keeps things from becoming boring. Parts of the podcast are in turn amusing, informative, enlightening, and just flat out funny. Keep it up, guys!

Your two new best friends

Tryygvy and Sigismund could easily become your two new best friends, as you become a listener to the Lions Road. Their laughter, stories, interesting lists, interviews, projects, and features entertain both the oldtimers in the SCA and the newest member trying to figure out how to enjoy this "history through hands-on participation" hobby that many of us call "home." Their feature "Things I Hate" pokes fun at the strange encounters we have on and off the fighting field, in SCA courts, at feasts, and camping at events. You'll quickly look forward to this weekly podcast!
