Great!
I love listening to this podcast, not only because it's a great way to get an overview of an album but because the Soundcheck panel is consistently entertaining and they know what the hell they're talking about. If you're so obsessed with your fave band that you can't possible understand different opinions, go listen to Dookie for the zillionth time. Otherwise, this is worth a listen.
terrible!
i got the green day one b/c i love that band and thot it would b nice to listen to but it was terrible!! i HAD to turn it off halfway because i was so full of rage i was literally kicking and screaming b/c they were saying false information. this is not because im a fan and i cant take some critisism to the band it is because im a fan and have listened to/read many many interviews that state almost ALL of the information in the podcast otherwise and im sorry if it did get better in the end but i cant take to listen to any more of it
absolutely horrible
i listened to the mgmt one. it's completely biased. theses people do not understand the band's thinking at all (im not saying that any of us could possibly understand such complicated minds) but they pretend to. i can take critisism of my favorite band, everyone has different opinions, but these people (especially the girl) are terribly judgemental stating that the album is a "pyschedelic, drunken, drug filled, pretentious haze of crap...it's totally drug filled. there are drug lyrics in here...you have to be on drugs to like this." first of all, mgmt has stated that they have never written a song on drugs. second of all, a load of people i know and myself happen to love this album and not be on drugs. it's good music if you don't have a closed mind like these people.
