Droid RAZR Maxx Review – Ep. 68 | Just like the Droid Razr that I reviewed a couple weeks ago but with a fat back battery. What this phone does right: * Easily accessible USB and HDMI ports. * Uses the standard spacing found on all Motorola phones now so it works with Moto dock connectors. * Side wake/lock. * Very loud speaker. * Mic on front and back for noise cancellation and good audio capture for video. * Comes with a cool AccuWeather live wallpaper app. What this phone does wrong: * Button order is odd. * USB/HDMI ports on the top. Prefer them on the side. * Motoblur skin makes app switching slow and adding apps to the home screen more difficult than it should be. With a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and a confirmed ICS upgrade by Motorola this phone is a definite must-buy for Verizon customers that don't need a physical keyboard. If you need a physical keyboard, tune in to our next episode for the Droid 4 review! | 3/15/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2 Review – Ep. 65 | Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2 Specs * 8.2â IPS Display, 1280x800 pixels * 3 Speakers for automatic stereo sound * IR blaster * Micro USB charging port * Micro HDMI port * 3.5mm headset jack * 1.3 MP front camera * 5 MP back camera with flash * power and volume control on the back * 1.2GHz dual core TI OMAP processor * 1GB RAM WTF? * speakers rotate to provide stereo sound, but the volume rocker doesnât rotate * no micro SD slot Final Verdict * Still very thin an sturdy. I thought 7â was the perfect size for a tablet, but 8.2â has really turned out better than I expected! | 1/23/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

HTC Rezound Review – Ep. 64 | HTC Rezound Review Ports & Buttons * MHL port * Capacitive function buttons * Wake/Sleep * Volume Rocker Cameras * 8MP / 1080p rear camera with dual LED flash * 2MP / 720p front camera Screen * 720p S-LCD * 4.3 Screen Internals * 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Adreno processor * 1GB RAM * 16GB Internal Storage * Micro SD Card Slot * 4G LTE Software * Android 2.3.4, HTC says that it will be updated to ICS âearly 2012â, which sounds like 1st Half. * Sense 3.5, which adds several great features to the base Android OS. Verdict * MHL port consolidates HDMI and power, but I donât think this is a feature. You have to buy an adapter to output to your television. My EVO outputs (once rooted) using a standard micro HDMI cable and I have the option to charge the phone while using. An MHL port requires you to charge the phone while using the HDMI-out feature. This reminds me of the G1 which had the headphone and power ports consolidated into one. * The screen is great, none of the Pentile grainyness. * Beats audio headphones included is a great marketing strategy, whatever you happen to think of the headphones themselves. * This phone is the ultimate convergence of the Incredible and G2/Thunderbolt HTC designs and I couldnât be happier! * The geek in me says donât buy this when you can get the most up-to-date version of Android directly from Google with the Galaxy Nexus, but if that isnât important to you or you just donât like Samsung then I highly recommend this device! | 1/13/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Android Tech Show 60 – Pantech Breakout 4G | NewsMajority of all Android phones in the world pay licensing fees to Microsoft * source (http://www.dailyfinance.com/2011/10/25/microsoft-majority-of-us-android-phones-license-ou/) * M$ already makes more money on Android than WP7, this is just getting ridiculous as Iâm sure their aim is to secure 100% of the market ASUS confirms their Honeycomb tablets will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich by January * source (http://www.unwiredview.com/2011/10/25/asus-eee-pad-tablets-to-be-updated-to-android-4-0-ice-cream-sandwich/) * ASUS is the best non-preferred manufacturer at putting out updates Acer also confirmed their devices will receive the update in January * source (http://www.slashgear.com/acer-android-devices-to-get-ice-cream-sandwich-update-in-january-2012-25190709/) * That means you can buy an ICS tablet for $329 at Walmart, itâs a 7-inch screen and youâll have to wait a little bit for the upgrade, but it does sport a 1GHz dual core processor (same as the Motorola Xoom) Pantech Breakout 4G Specs: * Android 2.3 * 4-inch WVGA screen * 5MP camera with 720p video recording * VGA front-facing camera * Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 * 1GHz processor * DLNA * and of course 4G LTE Thoughts: * innovative lock screen * some ICS elements, drag applications to the unlock area * In Case of Emergency (ICE) contact with one click * unfortunately canât change what apps are on the lock screen * appearance of notification bar is similar to HTC Sense * notification drop-down is more like Samsung TouchWiz * several widgets to change settings * there is an extra line of widgets that can be expanded out * home screen is like Samsung TouchWiz except previews are like HTC Sense * I like the physical buttons, theyâre different * easy to change âmodesâ which are like having different home apps installed with different backgrounds, icons, and widgets possible for each one * I hate that the wake/lock button is half-way down on the right edge * it has dedicated camera and voice control buttons * voice control button only works with the pre-installed âVoice Controlâ app powered by Nuance, it canât be changed to Vlingo or Googleâs Voice Search * typing on the device is crazy loud and bad * the custom Pantech widgets are freaking awesome The only serious drawback for this phone is that is has no camera flash! $99 via Verizon Wireless online store with 2-year agreement $0.01 via Amazon Wireless online store with 2-year agreement | 11/1/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Good content, will not play after upgrade to iOS4
Have enjoyed the content, but audio podcast will not play on my 2G iPod Touch since upgrading to iOS4. Spent a couple of hours with Applecare tech support, restored the Touch, and no success. They suspect the 128k encoding. Has happened with Episodes 22 & 24. I have not re-downloaded earlier episodes to test.
