Podcast Description

Bear Swarm! Podcast features a group of, roughly, four friends who all game together. We’re vulgar, crude, and sometimes offensive but we’re always laughing. The group has seen a number of faces and is always looking to expand our host roster. Varying experiences and opinions in our cast means hopefully you can find someone in our team that you can relate with and trust. From time to time we step away from the gaming table and talk about other topics but since we’re all brought together by gaming its what we always fall back on. We try to be receptive to listener input and are even willing to read things on the air from the forums or comments. Be warned, we don’t censor our broadcast. Not family friendly and only safe for work if you’ve got headphones.

Bear Swarming Their Way Into Your Heart!

I like this show rather a lot. I have a VERY low crap tolerance. Podcasts have a short window of time to win my attention. I was captivated by the 'Swarm right off the bat. So yeah, I like the show. Enough to listen to all 19 episodes (to date) and to eagerly download episodes when they drop each week. The guys, each of them, have a unique perspective. They have provided some great insight. A recent episode actually did me a terrific service. You can't listen to RPG podcasts these days without the hosts talking about Savage Worlds, Spirit of the Century, and/or Dogs in the Vineyard. I have some experience with both SOTC and Savage Worlds, but none at all with Dogs. I've been curious for a long time, but don't know anyone who's played it to ask questions. In episode 19, the Bear Boys provide a wonderful summary of what the game is all about and why it is unique. They sold me. I will be picking that thing up adding it to the ever growing heap of games I have yet to run. Bear Swarm is as regular as me on two table spoons of BeneFiber. The 'Swarm drops an episode (suddenly I am aware of some unintentional imagery) every week. You gotta love that. Bear Swarm is ranked in my top three RPG podcasts.

Five Star Podcast is Dragged Down.

This is my favorite podcast now.... except for Rob. Have you ever been in your bathroom, kissing a young lady and everything is going swell and your lips are getting all up in her grill and then all of a sudden a dolphin comes out of your toilet and slaps you in the face with it's tail? That's how I feel everytime Rob talks. Mike or Matt or Jacob will be dropping the knowledge on me like it's hotter than hot; I mean, this knowledge is like frying Megan Fox on a griddle. It's crazy hot and it must be dropped. But then Rob shows up. Out of my toilet. And ruins everything.

Normally, I love this show, but...

BEWARE of episode 82! Half the show is dominated by obnoxiously loud Burrito Chewing. Other than that, this is a solid, professional sounding 'cast. I can't say I always agree with their views on games, but it's always entertaining.
