Mostly Outstanding

This podcast has been a constant listen for me for years. However, the constant bashing of any ideas center or right of center has become a huge turnoff. We all understand you guys are lefties, and we understand art film is a bit liberal most of the time, but y’all would do well to remember that liberalism is supposed to include inclusion of all people. It’s never a good idea to start turning off half or more of your prospective audience by talking politics on an entertainment podcast. This should be a safe space for all people who enjoy Criterion films. I hope I can come back here and edit this review in the future!

Are you kidding me?

In the favorites of 2021 episode one of the hosts said that Criterion’s exclusion of films by Black filmmakers (up until this past year) was a reflection of the company’s “color blindness”. Are you kidding me?! Ignoring Black filmmakers is anything but color blindness. It’s actually a reflection of Criterion’s racism. I’m glad Criterion is trying to rectify this. But the hosts of this podcast really need to do better and stop saying stuff that makes them send like racist ghouls

Film?

Just when we thought there was something by which to escape the turmoil of political arguments, it is announced as a new effort by Criterion podcast!

I doubt anyone has subscribed to this podcast to hear more political gripes. Wish they had stuck to film. Glad there are other options out there.
