Unsubscribing - TdF Coverage is Worthless

I've lost all respect for CyclingNews.com - I can't believe that anyone associated with that site would want this cast of characters to be their spokesmen. The 7/12/10 podcast featured Anthony Tan ("TanMan"), who was apparently drunk, commenting on "the cute Dutch girl with a foot fetish" - this apparently sobered up the other commentators who tried to get the wheels back on the bus but they couldn't be bothered to stop taping long enough to place their dinner orders. They pledged to get back to serious analysis on the next podcast but the 7/13/10 podcast again included dinner orders and ended with TanMan crooning "Midnight Oil." That's enough of a waste of time for me.

If you want TdF analysis check out the ITV or VeloCast podcasts, they actually discuss what happened during the stages. They also manage to comment on the women's races, something CyclingNews only does once or twice every other year. Mara Abbott wins the Giro Donne by 2:05 and they can't be bothered to even mention it? This is just sad.

Awful

These have been first class during the year, but the TdF editions are disgusting. Juvenile, wandering, embarrassing. Out of a 30min podcast about 15min max are on the race, and most of these observations are superficial. The rest is devoted to digressions, childish pranks, insulting each other, talking to passersby and tolerating some idiot named “Tan Man” who acts like he is about 12 years old with his R rated comments, songs and the like. They can’t even be bothered to go into a hotel room or someplace quiet to do the taping. And it is clear that they have not thought for even two seconds about what they will say before they start taping, nor do they stop or edit what they’ve done. In short, they are having fun on a two week spring break and demonstrating a total contempt and disrespect for their audience. Such a comedown from the past year.

Where are the updates?

Love this podcast. Was there a rest day2 or stage 16 edition?
