Like a chat with drinking buddies
Drinking buddies who happen to be a laconic (guy of Polish extraction) and a high-strung (guy of Italian extraction). (derogatory terms redacted due to the "inappropriate language" warning here on iTunes.)
We all know and remember Gary & Dino from the venerable "Tom Leykis Show" out of Los Angeles, and FM staple in my home town of Seattle from the mid-90s through to the complete demise of the FM talk format a bit over a year ago. It's great to see at least a bit of that phoenix rising from the ashes. Gary & Dino chat about stupidity, sports, drinking, and deliver a HOW TO on being dragged out of the Vatican for the simple act of lying down. It is funny, well-produced, and is rapidly becoming a staple of my commute-time iPod playlist.
Consequences will never be the same!
Anybody who dose not like this show are a bunch of lying no good punks. And, I know who it's coming from because I back traced it. I know who emailing and who's doing it and you been reported to the cyber police and the state police. You better not try one more thing or screw with my computer again you'll be ARRESTED! And, if you come near my daughter guess what?? (see title for senseless threat) You lying bunch of pr*cks!
Picking up Speed
Gary and Dino bring with them a wealth of broadcast knowledge, skill and game. In the 150 episodes they have under their belts, they have figured out (and are now excelling at) what it means to apply those attributes on the OTHER side of the microphone.
Simply being a total a-hole to everyone as a Tom Leycus screener served Dino well for many years. It has been interesting to watch the approach of "reasonable doubt" creep into his on-air personality.
Gary, on-air perpetuating "look, I just don't give a crap, well except about drinking" seems to have realized that was only going to get his Podcast so far as well.
Like most listeners, I got no game. Listening to Gary and Dino rip on the World for the entertainment of clowns like me is an hour well spent each day.
