Very Good!

This podcast is very organized (no arguing or people asking questions with no answers), very smooth (keeps moving without pauses where no one knows what to say), and always on message.

A bad mark against the good Wired name

I just finished listening to an episode of the Geekdads and I was appalled. Not only is there no agenda or direction, but the host was downright rude to the guests. Listening to him pry one of the other podcasters about a recent surgery was uncomfortable for both the guest as well as the listener. Numerous audio problems throughout the podcast were not edited out in post which reveals a clear lack of polish from the editor. Furthermore, it was painfully obvious that the host was the only one who "wanted" to be there. Everyone else made the episode feel as though this was something they "had to do". Stay away!

meh

There is a very fine line between geek and nerd.. some of the writers fall on either side or straddle the line. (Some of the writers/podcasters can't even identify geeky things from non-geeky things.) But of this, I'm sure - while they may be Dads by name, this podcast has (for the most part) nothing to do with being a dad or raising children. Their biggest mistake is consistently getting off-topic. As far as their music taste in HipTrax goes, I can't get my kids to listen.. and, for the most part, I find much of the music unbearable as well. My kids and I have a very strong tendancy towards the geek.. these "GeekDads" (for the most part) don't.
