Great show!!
This is my favorite old time radio comedy. Gildersleeve is a compelling character who is well defined and explored, in a way that was unique at the time and unfortunately unique now in comparison with many contemporary television comedies. The podcast of the show is updated weekly and with regularity. While you can go download all the shows on the internet to listen to them at once, recieving them on a weekly basis makes me feel like one of the listeners of the original broadcast back in the 1940s.

The "Greatest" of the Greats!
This plays as wonderfully today as it did almost 70 years ago. In addition to it's core cast, listen up for such folks as the great Gale Gordon and Richard Crenna. And yes, writer John Whedon was the grandfather of Joss Whedon!
