Podcast Description
The Ihnatko Almanac is a weekly discussion that mostly focuses on the Clickable Arts: the movies, music, books, comics, articles, and other bits of entertainment and news that Andy and Dan have been reaching through a mouse click recently. Warning: the Almanac is a designated meme-free zone. We prefer our pianos to be played by expert human artists, not by poorly-Photoshopped cats. Hosted by Andy Ihnatko & Dan Benjamin.

Geektacular
Dandy Andy and Dapper Dan wade hip deep in to the world of geek culture, and oh my, what a warm and welcoming dip it is! 5by5 keeps coming up with more and more excellent shows, and I struggle to find enough hours in the week to keep up! At this rate, the only podcasts I listen to that AREN'T on 5by5 are The Incomparable and This Is My Next. And could The Incomparable be next on the 5by5 roster?
Great new podcast
I am a big 5by5 fan. Based on the first episode, I think this show has a chance of being one of their best. All the signs are there: Andy Ihnatko and Dan Benjamin have great chemistry and lots of common interests. They sound truthful when they're talking to one another. Ihnatko sounds so knowledgeable when he speaks that it seems like it would be interesting no matter what he was talking about.
Take today's show. It's been a long time since I have been interested in comic books, but listening to these guys talk about the current state of the industry—about DC's reboot and earnest adoption of digital distribution—was fun and informative. It actually tempted me to download Comixology's app and read issue #1 of Batman. In short: it sounded like the fun truth.
I'll be back next week for more!
Andy's The Best
I have long been a listener of Andy Ihnatko on Leo LaPorte's Tech podcast. So I am thrilled he is on 5by5 where he can have his own show and we can hear more of him. He is witty, funny and has tremendous knowledge on tech and the industry. Plus he is a real journalist. You will love hearing him if you haven't already.
