“We are all ambassadors for our own cultures and our own selves,” says Michael. “Intentional travelers consciously wander the world with the goal of meeting other people and trying to leave the planet a better place. The goal is to acquire techniques leading to conscious awareness during life’s journey, and to share them with other travelers. In the end, the journey is to find our highest self.” Michael’s life of spiritual discovery started at an early age when he discovered writers like Jack Keroauc and Baba Ram Dass. Soon he was “on the road” himself, wandering the world on an endless journey of constant learning. Over the past 40 years as a journalist and radio broadcaster he has interviewed many spiritual leaders, visited temples and villages from Nepal to Newfoundland, and studied belief systems from Christianity to Confucianism. Michael’s “intentional travels” include dangerous expeditions to remote regions of the world with frequent side trips to prisons, orphanages, hospitals and schools. His website features stories from the many articles, books, videos and other media he produces. When not traveling, he lives with his wife and son in a small Craftsman cottage with a pink cherry tree and white picket fence in the hills of North Vancouver, British Columbia.
