They are not the kind that will make you throw off your headphones in a shrieking fury of pain, they just make things a little difficult to hear sometimes. Customer Reviews
A Tompkast for the ages.
Paul F Tompkins' monthly variety show at Largo at the Coronet in Hollywood is one of the best tickets in town. A lot of the elements of the stage show are presented here, celebrity impersonations, special guests, google voice transcripts, and Paul's rambling closing monologues. The same quirky, erudite, playful turns of phrase that pepper Paul's comedic riffs on his CD's "Freak Wharf" & "Sir, You Have Fooled Me Twice" can be found here. He's smart, funny, and delightful, one of the best comic minds working.
our long national nightmare is over
paul f. tompkins ranks along side patton oswalt, louie ck, david cross and a handful of other modern masters of stand up. the tomcast is so special, so tender and delicious, you should prepare yourself before listening. take a day off work - better yet, plan a long weekend. disconnect the phone, buy yourself a new outfit, light some scented candles, pour a nice glass of fine, blended wine. give yourself over to the experience completely.
will the tompkast cure feelings of inadequacy? late night cravings? loneliness? no. it is a podcast. will it make you a better person? it is impossible to say. what is certain is this - if this doesn't, nothing else will.
Thank You God...
...for listening to a Jew's prayers. Paul F. Tompkins, inarguably the funniest man on the planet and dapperest of all gentle people, is generously giving us more of what we want and ultimately need for our basic survival.
Too much? I think not. PFT is hilarious. His podcast is hilarious and the name Pod F. Tompkast is the best name a podcast could hope for. So be grateful podcast, for your name - and listeners, that he hath graced us with his...grace. I'm a semite and the non-denominational vegan church down the block is going to get a hefty 5 dollar bill in the mail very soon. That is how much of a believer I am now that the Pod F. Tompkast is in my life. Thank you God, Margaret, for your trials and ultimately Paul, for the single greatest day of my internet faring life.
I am completed.
Too much? Not enough.
BTW - If you like Super Ego you will love this. Brilliance and podcasting are one in the same in the hands of PFT. I'm kvetching just thinking about it. I've got to go now.
