This aims to be a new ‘chat show for books’ covering all genres with the feel of popping to a couple of friends houses, sitting before their bookshelves with a nice cup of tea and nattering about books for an hour or so.

Booklovers delight
I'm so excited that Simon and Gavin have launched THE READERS, as I do believe the world needs many more people talking about books! Simon and Gavin are funny and engaging; after listening to the first episode I wanted to invite them over for dinner. They are smart, knowledgable and enthusiastic, and as someone immersed in the world of US publishing, I love hearing about books from a UK perspective. For a new podcast, the sound quality is good. In my experience, it usually takes 10-20 episodes for a podcast to get its sound issues worked out, and THE READERS is well on its way ahead of schedule. Keep up the good work, Simon and Gavin!
Excellent podcast!
Finally, two hosts who get to the heart of the matter...Books! Really enjoyed listening to to their discussion about books without annoying music or small talk that other podcasts assume is interesting or witty...They're wrong. Very informative, and having a lovely accent doesn't hurt. I look forward to hearing more episodes.
Wonderful podcast!
I heard about this podcast from Books on the Nightstand. I am so glad I did. Simon and Gavin are so engaging. If you like books--subscribe!
