The Rink Episode 68: Why No Jagr? | For episode 68, you would think the Jaromir Jagr would come up once, but he wasn't the story when it came to the Flyers. James O'Brien and I talk about Pronger and the impact his injury may have on visors, as well as what is going on in this crazy league, where the Stars are on top, the Leafs are a playoff team, and one of the best goalies in the league just isn't good enough for some people. James O'Brien at Pro Hockey Talk and Rotoworld James' all decade team and all decade team defense Greg Wyshynsi's all decade team with Pronger The Pronger injury in video form: | 10/25/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Rink Episode 67: Starting Off Right | We here at The Rink love to get our podcast episodes out in a timely fashion, so we recorded this a few hours before the puck dropped for the start of the season, and got it posted the morning after. I'm happy to talk to new co-host James O'Brien of ProHockeyTalk and formerly of Cycle Like the Sedins. We hit upon most of the teams, as well a some of the more controversial issues like no-touch icing, and Brendan Shanahan and his Shanahammer. We had a few technical issues when recording, so James O'B doesn't sound quite as good as he could, but we will have it ironed out for next time. The Rink Episode 66: Big Bad Bruins with HBAdventure | The Rink finally pokes it's head out of the sand and returns for the 2011-12 season. Kicking things off, I'm talking with Cornelius Hardenbergh of The Hockey Blog Adventure about his favorite team and defending Stanley Cup Champions, the Boston Bruins, as well as starting the season overseas, injuries and retirements, and even a little bit about the Minnesota Wild. The Rink Episode 65: Avalanche Blogger Roundtable | After day one of the Colorado Avalanche training camp, I got together with a five hockey fans to talk about the Avalanche, the media, twitter, and the rest of the league. It was a really fun conversation, and the only person who swore (and had to be bleeped) was me! So unprofessional. :) A note about the production: This was the first time I recorded the show with this setup, and the volume levels are a little uneven. It certainly wasn't my intention for my voice to be the loudest. It just worked out that way. I'll try and nail it next time I use it. Please, visit their blogs, follow them on twitter, and enjoy the show. The panel: Angelique C. The Rink Episode 64 Part 2: Classic All Over | It's part two of my talk with Ryan Classic, where we continue our goalie discussion, and talk about Teemu Selanne, the retirement of Chris Chelios and that fine chili he makes, and Ron Tugnutt. The Rink Episode 64 Part 1: Goalie-Go-Round | I was privileged to spend some actual face to face time with Ryan Mance, aka Ryan Classic, to talk goalies (which seem to be the big news lately), and much more. We went long, so this one is split into two parts. Diffidently check out part two. Quick mention: I said that Peter Budaj and Jose Theodore played in Chicago. It was a mistake, and a slip of the tongue, because we were talking about Chicago. By now, I'm sure you are used to me screwing something up. :-) Ryan on Twitter Silver Seven: An SBNation blog Ryan writes for. The article from Copper and Blue we reference. The Rink Episode 63 : The Season That Was | Finally putting a wrap on the season, I'm joined by Jay Vean of The Avs Hockey Podcast to talk about the 2009-10 season, the 2010 draft, and free agency. Please note that this episode was recorded on July 7th. There were a few issues posting this episode, but almost everything is still relevant. Episode 61: Say Brother, Can You Spare Some Time? | After what feels like way too long, a new Rink has arrived, and it's way too long. I won't lie to you, this should be split into two parts, but it's just so much fun this way. Jay Vean of the Avs Hockey Podcast and we talk about... The Avalanche. But fear not, non-Avalanche fans, we talk about many other things as well. We meander through the league, and come up with plenty to discuss. Also, I say something in the form of a joke that some would attribute to the Family Guy - Empire Strikes Back parody, but I would attribute to Jordan Morris of Jordan, Jesse, GO! It's not an attempt to steal someones joke, it just came pouring out, so please, consider it an homage, a tribute to a guy who's podcast I truly enjoy. | 5/13/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Rink Episode 47: Opening Around the Corner | It's the 47th Episode of The Rink, almost a year of the show in the bag (I had to skip a few weeks over the summer, and yet I still have 55 episodes with the specials and the like). Tom and I talk about Theo Fleury, the start of the season, and if DirecTV is actually making things better for it's hockey loving customers. The Rink Episode 46: Return of Tom | With the summer over, Tom Luongo makes his glorious return from off season hibernation, and has a few things on his mind. We talk about preseason hits, The Great One becoming the missing one, and the NHLPA. Plus a whole lot more. As promised, here is the Milwaukee Admirals 3rd jersey. If it weren't a RBK EDGE jersey, I would buy one in a heartbeat. A quick note about the production: Thanks to the great state of Alaska, there is no good internet to be found. I can't stream anything, I can't use Skype, nothing. Tom and I had to talk on our cellphones, and record the audio of our mics separately. So if things sound strange, it's because we weren't using our normal recording process. | 9/22/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Rink Episode 45 – Tweetcast | I decided I wanted to do something a little different, and on the spur of the moment, I asked people who follow me on twitter if they had anything to say. What did people want to talk about in five minutes on the podcast. I got a few responses, and had a great time doing it. And believe me, we will be doing it again. From Columbus to Colorado, we had a great time. Excellent hockey coverage
As a die hard Avalanche and hockey fan I can never get enough hockey. Especially now during the off season. But with guys like Jay and James around talking hockey whether it be on their podcasts, which are excellent, or via twitter or FaceBook, these guys know their stuff. Do yourself a favor and follow these guys and listen to their shows or get in touch with them and be a guest and talk hockey with some really good guys.
Well done!
If you're looking for hockey analysis from a true fan instead of some stuffy elitist commentator, look no further! The forum is a light, conversational one that reminds you of talking puck with guys in the stands at a game, and the host is INCREDIBLY approachable. Very friendly and easy to reach on Twitter/Facebook etc. Has many "Tweetcasts" where he brings in people from Twitter to talk hockey. Knowledgeable of the entire league. 5/5! Check it out!
