| 9 | CleanVideoPrimeau TV EP1 – Full Quality Digital Speaker Videos with Ed Primeau | A common question asked by my clients, both new and old, is whether a video recording of their presentation is good enough quality to be in their demo video. This is an excellent question, as video clip quality is one of the most important aspects of a demo video. Not only do I cover this topic frequently when I speak to groups like the National Speakers Association and the National Speakers Association of Australia but I have also written about quality digital video in previous blog postings. Quality, like content, is KING! In January, I did a presentation at NSAA, the National Speakers Association of Australia, about professional speaker demo videos and Internet marketing for more inbound traffic and website prospects. My goal was to share information that I have learned after 25+ years of producing speaker demo videos in the United States. The first half of the program at NSAA began over breakfast has good components, but also, has some not-so-good components. First, the service from the facility was amazing; which was good! The not-so-good news is that our excellent server was in many of the shots, which you will see in the video podcast (link below). I began the day speaking about professional speaker demo videos, how to get great footage and not to settle for a DVD only. Many professional speakers that we have worked with send us DVD copies of their footage. However, if they had asked their clients’ production company for original full quality digital video footage it would have been worth the time and effort because their speaker demo video would look better. Plus, this original footage is not compressed and DVD’s are compressed. Using this compressed DVD footage will result in a fuzzy or blurry video because once you edit your speaker demo video, the final digital video file has to be compressed (MPEG 2 for DVD and MPP4 or WMV for Internet marketing). Why compress twice if you do not have to, right? People in the audience asked a lot of good questions, as you will see in the video. It is always nice to see great audience participation. Overall, it was exciting to share my experience with the people from NSAA, and I had a great time. I hope you learn some good information from this video on our Video Revolution podcast channel. And remember! Quality, like content, is king! | 7/21/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 10 | CleanVideoA Three Part Audio Restoration – Ed Primeau | In the following blog post, I will help you understand a basic three part process for audio restoration. In the embedded video, I exhibit an audio file that was lifted from a video which is in need of some audio restoration. The video walks you through the process which varied from video to video in this video training set. The first step is to either compress the audio increasing the gain during the process or removing any unwanted distortion; whichever you feel is best to lead with. You can try one process first then the second. Worse case you can apply the processes in opposite order if your initial results are not up to your expectation. Varying the order which filters and noise reduction are applied is how a forensic examiner will proceed when restoring an audio file. Audio restoration takes time, patience and good critical listening skills. The three filters I will demonstrate in this video are wave hammer, equalization and noise reduction. I use Sony Sound Forge software 9.0 for this example. Other audio software programs can be used and more than likely include similar filters to those found in Sound Forge. | 7/13/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 11 | CleanVideoMulticultural Drum Circle Venice Beach California | Video recorded on a Cannon XL2 in 2007 at Venice Beach California by http://www.PrimeauProductions.com. This drum circle sounded like a tornado as we approached the core. The drum circle would not be as moving if it were audio only. The visual portion of the experience is why we have hit the video revolution. More and more people use video both personally and professionally because video has become affordable and the resources to create video very accessible. You will notice some very good people watching in this video in addition to a killer rhythm played by over 400 drummers and percussionists on one of the coolest beaches in the world! | 7/12/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanExcerpt from Your Right to be Rich titled “How to Get Everything you Want in Life” | Consider the words “constructive criticism.” Upon hearing them you may be subjected to a little squirming. Although many people delight in unloading criticism on others, the opinions involved often reflect more on the observer than the person under evaluation. If you listen to criticism that is supposed to help you grow, develop, and improve, oftentimes the path under construction is one laid out by the evaluator, and not defined by yourself. It is a given that if the recommended path is trod, your superior will be happy because his or her plan is now in place. Napoleon Hill asks us to consider whose life we are living anyway. If it is yours, then you should determine your path’s destination. If you have abdicated the role of master of your life, then anyone’s plan will do. Think about it. Are you required to justify your existence by marching to another’s tune? Or, if your marching orders are still in your head and not in synchronization with your life’s plan, who do you really have to blame but yourself? Being a good soldier is not the same as being a good leader. Leaders lead and soldiers obey. If it is your decision to be a soldier, then orders from your superiors cannot be over over-analyzed or subjected to daily constructive criticism. But, if you want to be the Captain of YOUR life, then you must ask and answer the questions that position you best on your success path. 4_How to Get Everything You Want in Life.mp3_sample website | 7/6/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
