Interesting, for awhile. Kinda boring now with awful music
Usually interesting and relevant developer topics, but often lacks conciseness and drags on for longer than it needs to. Usually the hour long show could be distilled to 30-40 minutes of solid content, but there seems to be quite an infatuation with overly long and jarring musical interludes. Admittedly, not everyone has the same taste in music, but the selections are especially bad - a cheap imitation of TAL without really getting the point that TAL's musical selections enhance the stories rather than just playing random songs from someone's jogging playlist. Figured with interesting topics the format might get better with time and experience, but it hasn't really. Interesting occasionally, but got bored with it. Overall I'd give it a "meh".
I really love this podcast.
So many times I've been sitting around a table with other developers as we regale each other with our stories, and someone says, "If we had recorded this, it would have been such a great podcast episode." Rob has done exactly that. Each week's show has several parts, all based on a central theme (just like "This American Life"), and the discussions feel so natural - like you're overhearing a fascinating lunch conversation between really interesting developers. The stories are great, the musical selections are great, and the production values are pretty darn good compared to most other .NET tech podcasts. I hope Rob finds the time to keep this up!
Great Podcast
Great stories about situations and experiences every developer, programmer, engineer goes through, and views on what motivates noteworthy programmers to do what they do.
