Of course, it's time for the very latest TORWars podcast, covering everything about Star Wars: The Old Republic! In this week's show, we cover all the latest news surrounding SWTOR - we've got the latest details about the Guild Summit, the latest developer comments, and the hottest news about the Asia Pacific release of SWTOR. The latest official video from BioWare? The latest info from BioWare's Q&A with the fans? Exclusive interviews with the SWTOR video creation team? Yeah, we've got all that, too. Of course, our special feature this week is that we've got the voice actress that gave life to KOTOR's Bastila Shan, to FemShep from the Mass Effect series, to Satele Shan, and to SWTOR's femtrooper. Of course, I'm referring to the beautiful and talented Jennifer Hale, who agreed to sit down with us this past week, and to appear on our podcast. We chat about BioWare, about the characters she's played, and about the role of the voice actor in the video game industry. It's good stuff, largely because Ms. Hale is intrinsically interesting to talk to. So listen in, dear friends, and let us know what you think. Will you be attending the Guild Summit? Did the Q&A interest you? Are you a fan of Jennifer Hale's work? Let us know in the comments - we want to hear from you! CleanTORWars Podcast #66: David Bass and Stephen Reid Interview on the Guild Summit, Bug Fixes, and Upcoming Changes | Hello again, TORWarriors! This week, we bring you, our faithful listeners, a very special edition of the TORWars podcast. No, this isn't the typical shenanigans we usually offer (you know, SWTOR news intermixed with a variety of immature jokes and liberal amounts of giggling like little children). No, this podcast is full of a completely different kind of shenanigans, because this week we feature both David Bass and Stephen Reid as our guests on the show. So, basically, our show is a bit more official, a bit more authoritative, and a bit more British than it normally is. What do we talk with our esteemed guests about? Well, a wide variety of topics, of course. We talk about the Guild Summit, how guilds get themselves invited, the selection criteria, and the events in which they'll participate. We also talk about how BioWare interacts with the community on the forums, and how community concerns (and complaints) are investigated, and how BioWare responds to them. We even discuss the bugs in the game, and how they're prioritized. David and Stephen even dish on some of the changes the community feels are important, and why BioWare is doing about them. So, yes, it's a very full show indeed. If you've ever been interested in a behind-the-scenes look at how bugs are fixed, complaints are addressed, and new features are prioritized, then this is the show for you. Of course, leave us a comment after listening - what did you think of Stephen and David's insights? We want to hear from you! [Disclaimer: because of our absurdly primitive highly sensitive hi-tech audio setup, we end up with a bit of feedback and other audio issues toward the end. The Jawas and R2 units responsible have been duly shocked with Force Lightning!] | 2/6/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTORWars Podcast #65: Big Sith Don’t Cry | Hello, everyone, and welcome to the very latest TORWars podcast. This is a very unusual show, in that it was a very light SWTOR news week. There were few official announcements, few breaking stories, and few updates about Star Wars: The Old Republic. However, being the diligent, muck-raking reporters that we are, we still managed to find the most interesting, most fascinating, and most intriguing news nuggets to be found anywhere. Developer comments? Sure, we've got those. Stephen Reid dishes on the fact that some species will cross factions as a result of the Legacy System, and why Sith with play against Sith in the newest Warzone. Damion Schubert gives us the skinny on the new mini-pets that are going to be introduced into the game, and why you'll want them. Corey Butler gives us some hints as to what is in store in the future for the space game. Intrigued yet? Well, there's more. We also go in-depth, exploring exactly what a "content locust" is, and whether or not that's a bad thing (hint: it is). We also take this issue on from the other side, exploring the idea that the endgame in every MMO every made is actually quite boring. Is it really about content, or more about friends, guilds, and finding fun stuff to do? Of course, that's not all. Your hosts drink, bicker, insult one another, and we even get Deirdre to cry (just a little) at the end. So, yeah, it's a good show. Of course, the show isn't complete until we've heard from you, faithful listeners - so leave us a comment, below, and share with us your thoughts, opinions, and insights - we want to hear from you! CleanGuest Podcast: Two Jedi, One Sith | A couple of weeks back, I got an email from Ruairidh Duncan. Ruairidh hails from Scotland, he's an ex bomb tech with the Royal Engineers, and he's been a Star Wars fan since he was just a wee little fellah. Ruairidh (pronounce it Roory, TORWarriors) sent me something of a beta podcast called Two Jedi, One Sith - a test 'cast, if you will - and it had genuine potential. Well, Ruairidh is back with his latest 'cast, and it's a doozy. First of all, Ruairidh starts the entire thing off with the Star Wars theme played on bagpipes. Yes, bagpipes. Seriously, just by listening to it, one gets the impression that they must know a guy that plays, and they got him to bang out the theme just for them. And these are not just any bagpipes, either - they're the loudest freaking 'pipes in all of Scotland. Seriously, folks, he pretty much had me at that point. That over-the-top, go-for-the-gusto enthusiasm is darned funny. Now, mind you, this isn't a super polished 'cast by some audio engineers who've been doing this for years. Heck, the TORWars podcast isn't even close to that, and we've been doing it for about a year and a half now. This is a podcast by Ruairidh and his buddies, Dave the Encyclopedia, Crazy Leslie, and Greg the G Man. They talk about the 1.1 patch, upcoming features in SWTOR, and community news. There are a few minor audio irregularities, but it's all worth it, folks. If you're looking for a new podcast, give this guys a listen and your support, and hopefully we'll be hearing from them again soon. :) | 1/28/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTORWars Podcast #64: Miralukan Sith Warriors and Other Legacy Goodness | Yes, it's that time of the week, friends and neighbors - time for this week's TORWars podcast. In this week's 'cast, we cover a lot of ground - we talk about some of the unintended consequence of the "Rise of the Rakghouls" update, the updated maintenance schedule, what server groups are (and why you should love them), what it means when George Lucas says he's "retiring", and even how TORWars got a mention in the L.A. Times. Of course, that's not all. We discuss why players might want to become Founders (it might be "kind of important" 3 years from now), what the devs had to say this week, and what the "ability delay" is, and why you probably hate it. We also take a nice turn through UI changes, new guild features, and what the latest Warzone may bring. Beyond all this, we explore the subtle announcements regarding the Legacy System - will it open up new character customization options (probably yes)? Will it open up new species and class combinations (almost definitely)? Will it give you new powers and abilites (oh yes, it will)? This most intriguing of topics, while not yet in game, is one we thoroughly explore. Of course, beyond all this, you've got the savory TORWars flavor peppered throughout this week's 'cast - sarcasm, bitterness, cynicism, mindless bickering, and some astonishing feats of immaturity - all of which means this is guaranteed to be a good show. So listen in, dear friends, and after you've heard the show, tell us what you think. Leave us a comment, below - we want to hear from you! *UPDATE* - In the 'cast, the email given for CRR was erroneous. Bad us! The email address for Corellian Run Radio is actually corellianrun[at]gmail[dot]com NOT corellianrunradio[at]gmail[dot]com | 1/23/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTORWars Podcast #63: Rise of the Rakghouls (and Other Space Zombies) | It's that time of the week, faithful listeners - a new TORWars podcast is among us! In this week's show, we do what we do each and every week: we give you the latest Star Wars: The Old Republic news, we discuss the latest comments by the SWTOR devs, and we go in-depth, exploring the issues and latest developments your favorite Star Wars MMO. Is that all? Of course not - with all the above hard information, we also toss in our personal insights and analysis. And by "insights and analysis", I of course mean "fart jokes and adolescent whining". And what are those latest developments, you ask? Of course, we're referring to the upcoming content update, patch 1.1, "Rise of the Rakghouls". RoR is an update to the game itself, and it includes a number of impressive features. Among them: ~An expanded Operation, Karagga's Palace ~Significant changes to Ilum's PvP ~Nerfs to both Cybertech and BioChem ~A new level 50 Flashpoint: Kaon Under Seige ~More will be added to this update in March, including a new planet, a new Operation, and a new Warzone If that's not enough for you, we'll also talk about the 2012 convention events that are planned for SWTOR, the confirmed facts about the Legacy system, the mysterious gray Jedi, the newly formed events team, and why David is making air kisses to everyone at the end of our show. And after you've listened in, leave us a comment and tell us what you think - we want to hear from you! | 1/15/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTORWars Podcast #62: Bugs and Hutts | It's Sunday, boys and girls, and you know what that means - it's time for another TORWars podcast! This week's show is full of all the things you love about TORWars 'casts - hard SWTOR news, cheap humor, smashed bugs, smelly Hutts, and partially clothed Twi'lek strippers. Okay, okay, I made the part about the Twi'lek strippers up. I felt the intro lacked some sci-fi sexiness. So sue me why dontcha? Even if we don't have hot Twi'lek strippers, we have a lot of news. We've got info on the latest patches and hotfixes, why some folks are getting banned from the game (or they're fibbing about it), and why SWTOR is now in the Guinness Book of World Records. Want to know why typing /getdown can get your virtual wrist slapped? Want to know if SWTOR is coming for the Mac? Curious about upcoming changes to PvP? Are you as upset about how poor ol' Vette is being treated? Well, we cover all those stories and many more in this week's show. So listen to the show, friends, and tell us what you think. Should bug squashing be BioWare's priority? Is the leveling curve too hard, or is it too easy? Do you agree with the reviews of SWTOR that are now rollin' on in? Well, leave us a comment, and tell us your opinion. We want to hear from you! | 1/8/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTORWars Podcast #61: Happy New Year, Blaine Christine! | It's that time of the week, friends - time for the TORWars podcast! This is podcast number 61, and it's a big show. Like our other 'casts, we cover a lot of ground in this show. "Like what?", I hear you asking. Well, how about these hot stories: SWTOR now has more than a million subscribers The official launch of SWTOR in New Zealand and Australia is set for March 1st SWTOR tattoos, and why the devs are getting them The various awards that SWTOR has already received - including game of the year Why Darth Malgus has been whacking people with a lightsaber on the streets of New York City Of course, that's not all. We cover developer comments (including those by Daniel Erickson, Dr Ray and Dr Greg, Stephen Reid, and Alexander Freed), we discuss the mysterious new flashpoint that James Ohlen mentioned, and we explore the upcoming expansion of the Karagga operation. Of course, we also go in-depth into the intriguing Legacy system - one we know oh-so-little about, but has SWTOR fans everywhere holding their breath. And, of course, we salute BioWare's own Blaine Christine. Blaine is "Live Producer" for BioWare Austin, which means he and his team are the people most responsible for the incredibly smooth launch of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Considering the size, scope, and scale of SWTOR, and the history of rocky MMO launches in recent memory, Blaine and his team have done something incredible - successfully pulled off the largest MMO launch in history, and they did it with nary a hitch. (Seriously, can someone buy Blaine a plaque or something?) Of course, our show doesn't end there. David and I bicker, we tell jokes that can only be described as "in very poor taste", and we openly discuss what David is doing to battle his epic hangover. So, yeah, it's a full show. Of course, why listen to me jabber on like this - listen to the 'cast, and then leave us a comment. Tell us what you think - we really want to hear from you! | 1/1/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTORWars Podcast #60: Let’s Launch This Sucker! | Yes, my virtual friends and neighbors, it's time for another TORWars podcast! This is a big week, in that "early access" began just a few short days ago, and the official launch of Star Wars: The Old Republic is but two days away. As you can imagine, this kind of thing makes both David and I nearly incoherent with childish glee. And no, I'm not kidding around here - I had to give David some Ritalin about 20 minutes before we went on the air. It was the only way to get through the show. Of course, we cover much more than just the upcoming launch. We run the gamut of SWTOR news - covering stories like the recent in-game queues, midnight launch events, why deleting guild leaders is a really bad idea, and the ultimate demise of Star Wars Galaxies. We also delve into recent (and sometimes mysterious) comments by Dr. Ray and Dr. Greg, Jeff Hickman, and James Ohlen. We also explore our personal pre-launch impressions, talk about new features on TORWars itself, and we even throw out the idea that the Internet owes Stephen Reid a rather large apology. So, yeah, it's a full show. Of course, don't just listen in - leave us a comment, and tell us what you think. Are you sad to see Star Wars Galaxies go? Do you think guild ships should be a priority? Are you over the "grace period" drama? Do you think SWTOR geeks everywhere should send Stephen Reid candy, cards and flowers? Let us know - we want to hear from you! | 12/18/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Customer Reviews
Elite Podcast
For starters, I downloaded the new Itunes just so I could write this review. Yes people, it's that good.
TORWars is a Star Wars: The Old Republic podcast that covers a wide variety of topics pertaining to the game as well as many fringe topics that may have more subtle or indirect impacts on the game. Quite frankly, it's one of the best podcasts to listen to if you're looking for solid TOR (The Old Republic) information.
Episodes are short, but they cover the same amount of information, if not more, than other TOR podcasts on a wider variety of topics. This is due in part to their intelligent show progression set up that leads their current topic into the next with little transition needed.
That being said, these guys aren't just animatronic trolls in your basement (+1 TOR point if you get the reference), they are perhaps the funniest podcast that covers TOR. Their light hearted (sometimes cynical) humor, sarcasm, double entendres, and musical antics will keeps listeners entertained throughout the show.
Along with providing in depth information on what's new in TOR in an entertaining manner, they are also not afraid to speculate on topics regarding the game, nor are they afraid to speak their opinions on controversial issues. However, they also present the other side of the issue as well (one host defending and supporting each side of the issue).
The last thing I'll mention is their website. It is updated daily (sometimes multiple times a day) with TOR, Star Wars, and/or Bioware related updates which are infused with the same amount of humor as the podcast itself. So, unless you don't like seeing Hello Kitty Darth Vader or the Stormtrooper that didn't die when he got shot, the site is worth checking out. Every once in a while they'll throw in a good editorial piece as well to keep us guessing apparently.
On the whole, it feels more like these guys are morning radio personalities with veteran in depth knowledgle of the game they are covering, and they are a pleasure to listen to.
Oh, and no. I am not their mother or in any way related to the running of the site. Just a guy that appreciates a good podcast of TOR.
Fun, Funny, and Informative
This is a podcast about Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR).
It's unlike any other podcast on the subject I've heard; largely this is because the hosts don't engage in some sort of rambling, "we don't have anything particular to say, we have no direction, and we've got to talk for an hour" thing that most of the other podcasts do. They keep their segments short, punchy, and most of all, funny.
It's entertaining as well as informative, and that's unique among the SWTOR podcasts that I've heard.
Messa thinks this podcast is muy muy good!
Great podcast. Fun, informative, and has a nice flow to it. The only weakness, and I only point out in fairness to all other great casts is the sound quality. In some areas it sounds like they may be recording in a tunnel. Other than that its A+ all the way.
