Extremely Funny. Extremely Polished.
I listen to quite a bit of podcasts, claiming to be "comedy". In practice, it is just a couple of guys talking to one another and laughing at their own jokes for hours. This is not that podcast.
There is a story, there are actors playing characters, and they are all extremely funny. If you have ever wondered whether an old-timey radio show can be funny and relevant, trust that it can. Plus, 10 minute episodes are much appreciated. I don't always have an hour to dedicate to paying attention.
Give this a shot. You're going to love it.
Best new podcast of 2011, hands down
If you liked the humor of Fox's Arrested Development then this is right up your alley. The dialogue is fantastic and the characters really fit the genre but are not voiced heavy-handedly. This is one of those podcasts that you can listen to several times and catch something different with each additional play - which says a lot given that it is only ten minutes. I am very much looking for ward to the next episode!
Hilarious
Very clever, very playful, very much faithful to the style. But most importantly, it's just really funny. The writing feels like Steve Martin's prose at its wittiest. I'm a big fan.
