Podcast Description
There are many avenues to truth. The truth for one may not be the truth for another. Then of course, once you think you have found it, that it is finally in your grasp and everything makes sense- BAM! Something comes along to make you question more, doubt what you have all ready discovered. And so you continue your quest. "The important thing is not to stop questioning." -- Albert Einstein This podcast is based on the successful Truth Seekers message board. Listen to the podcast, then come by and tell us the truth as you see it!

TS112: A Shot Of Reason | Well, we hope. One thing we are finding out at these roundtable discussions is even though we have great discussions of the details, we don't really disagree on the bottom line. I'm going to try harder for future discussions to get more opposing views. We don't bite- I promise! We just want to truly understand where others are coming from. This episode was originally recorded in February. Yes, February. Shut up, I know. However, the topic continues to be relative as dieseases such as measles and pertussis are slowing making comebacks. In Washington state they have to tap into emergency funds and practically have an epidemic of whopping cough on their hands. Which could all be prevented if everyone were up to date and vaccinated. You see my bias- I believe in vaccinations. I believe in the science behind them, and proof is everywhere that they work, and do more good than harm. The link between vaccines and autism has been debunked. As much as I try to understand what the fear is in those who do not vaccinate their children, I can't. Reasons I've read and heard do not match up with the science. So I gathered the roundtable crew of Debbie, Dan, and Miles, and we had a pretty good discussion. I apologize for the background noise- there was a gathering in the other room, and they were quite chatty. The regulars are almost all here, as well as a couple of newcomers! We've got Debbie, Miles, and Sean, plus Crystal and Naum! ExplicitTS106: Truth Seekers In HD | On a post-PodcampAZ high.. I am always so inspired after these weekends! Have some great ideas for putting some life back into the show. That means, of course, getting more than one episode a month out! I will also put audio up from the session I presented at Podcamp this year- on podcasting your politics and still have people take you seriously. It went really well, and ended up being more of a discussion than a speaking presentation. But hey- that's what I'm all about! For now, here is a show that I recorded with the guest you all have come to know and even like a little here on the show, Scott Josephson! We watched the compelling documentary "Vietnam in HD" on the History Channel, and after a little PodcampAZ banter we get into our thoughts about that. The show runs a little longer than the last couple of episodes, at about an hour. Don't go into cardiac arrest at the change. ;) We also end with a question for our viewers- so enjoy! Be warned, as is usually the case when Scott is on the show, the explicit tag was earned. Within the first 2 minutes, even! TS105: Occupy Truth | Come on, is anyone surprised I'm going to talk about the Occupy Wall Street movement? I didn't think so. A lot of information, and a lot of links, so let's get to it! *Overall, great media coverage. *It's gone global! *NOT a partisan protest. I repeat- NOT. *You have no class, baby. *Herman Cain might blame the gov't, but Wall Street caused the crash. BUT, the gov't didn't exactly prevent it. *Alternet: 10 Things To Know About Wall Street's Attack On America *Status Quo. *Field Negro: Protectors Of Oligarchy *Don't fall for the tricks. *Breaking Copy: Media Bias and Occupy Wall Street (a MUST to look at) *Take it to the voting booth. *Promo: Riskwear vs. Ex Fumo Gaudiam *Next topic- changing your name after marriage *Big Think: Are Women Paying the Price For Taking Their Husband's Name? *Dani be un-edumacated. *No, honey, you're not having dinner on the table and a backrub while I turn on the game for you. Unless I get the same tomorrow. *Facebook Question: Many of my friends, who have and have not taken their husband's name, were in agreement to the stupidity of the study. *Why is being married and supporting a family a plus in the man's column, but a negative in the woman's? *Guys, would you take your wife's name? *Hyper-feminism can make all women look stupid. *It's about choice. It's about non-judgment. It's about doing what you're happy with. ExplicitTS104: To The Death | Lots of crazy stuff happening in my life and in the world. Personal obligations keep chipping away at my time... but no way am I gone. ;) -Started writing this show as I was watching Democracy Now coverage of the Troy Davis execution. This case was a disaster. Let me try and explain why. Background on the case HERE and HERE. -You kill a cop, you are convicted without a trial. -The hypocrisy of the angry mob mentality -Ah! A reasonable look at this from someone I admire greatly. -How race plays into incarceration. -Sean Bell? Who's that? -Is the prison system racist? The stats are disputed. -What about the cost of keeping inmates on death row? -We interrupt this topic for some Lee Coulter. -One last thought on Troy Davis and the death penalty. Rehab. Hear me out first, then roll your eyes. -Why I am against the death penalty. -Feedback time! I have an email to read! Yay! -In other news, I have taken on a new volunteer position. CleanTS103: Third Party, Tea Party, Party Poopers | I have not faded! I seriously thought about it though. I'm feeling like a disgruntled employee. However, I've got my groove back, so let's get back to work, shall we? - What I did on my summer vacation - Well, that was quick. - A mom's work is never done. - Being out of AZ is like a breath of fresh air. - Excuse me while I rant about kids, teachers, and Facebook - You want to hear this local Phoenix band, The Veragroove! - Ok, how about some politics now? - Hey it's election season again! Hooray? - Yep, two-party players are bitching about third party independent voting again. - The government is bad. Hey wait, aren't WE the government? - The Tea Party is a genius idea. - And now, I read you the best opt-ed I've read in two weeks. TS102: Get Your Morals Out Of My Politics! | Summertime! You know what that means... Actually I have no idea what that means. It's another season. It's still busy life as usual. That never changes. I wasn't going to talk about Anthony Weiner. Really, I wasn't. Then my fellow thinkers started talking about it, saying resign and all that stuff. I want to tell you why he shouldn't. Yeah, I know he has. Bad move, if you ask me. I'm also going to talk about welfare. Have you ever needed it? No? Then maybe you should stop judging others who do. Ok then, on with the show! *What Weiner was working on before the "scandal" erupted. Get it? Erupted? *Tune from Lee Coulter! *Mandatory drug testing isn't a good idea. ExplicitTS100: Still Ranting After All These Years | It only took 5 years, but I have finally made it to episode 100. Of the regular episodes, that is. I've done a bit more than that over the half-decade. And I have a special guest, who made me wait until his BIRTHDAY to post it (nevermind that I didn't get around to editing it until this week). Anyway, without further ado, let's get to it. It's a long one (that's what she said), an hour and 20 minutes. But you know what? It's my hundreth episode, so screw it! Listen over two days. ;-) *Recorded on April 21st, 2011* - Dani sounds a lot like ScottyJ -100 Regular episodes! - 7th Annual Pat's Run: our second time running. -It's a family thing -Get over your negativity -Liberal who tolerates Obama -The Kennedys miniseries -Not as inaccurate as you might think -Well, other than that Oswald story... -Scott's JFK Conspiracy theory -Printed books. ExplicitTS99: Why? | Part 2 of my chat with Debbie! I honestly could have talked to her for hours- she has an awesome brain! I also appreciate her being so open and honest when we talk about immigration. *Not all of us in AZ are crazy. We swear! *Palin and Gingrich and Trump- OH MY! *Politics equals hypocrisy. *Gov't is made up of people, and people are stupid. *It's 24 hour news' fault. *No more reporters. *Are you getting seasick? *Is "lambasted" even a word? *And now, we solve the immigration problem. You're welcome, Mexico. *Upbringing contributes to how you treat other races and cultures. *Leave the gays alone! *You can't control who are are attracted to. *WHY do you think that? *We are full of it. Chemicals, that is. *Global warming, whether you believe it or not, stop being wasteful. *Priuses are ugly. Priusi? Thank you again Debbie! You are amazing! ExplicitTS98: It's Hard Out There For A Thinker | She always writes awesome blog posts and has great thoughts, but one in particular finally moved me to get my friend Debbie Walker on the show! It was a lot of fun, and she is straightforward and unapologetic in her thoughts and her beliefs. We were all over the place, AND this is a two-parter so sit back, grab a beer (or a cider), and listen to us wing it! **Debbie's Blog: Telling It Like I See It *I impress her from the start. *Podcasters rock *So do skeptics. *Debbie is observing you. *Unabashed Athiest *Immunizations- get your shots! *Not completely skeptical of everything *Feel the energy *Send me an angel *Debbie loves AZ politics! (insert sarcasm here) *Bring back Napolitano! *Felony to get abortion based on race or gender *why are you so interested in what I do with my body anyway? *Guns- learn to use the damn thing first, then get your license. *Dani doesn't shower with a gun. *And she's not Angelina Jolie. *AZ wants to give preference to married couples over a single person when adopting a child. *Why so many hoops anyway? *Should be just as easy to adopt as to have a baby. *Pooping out babies! *Laundry soap? Nom nom nom *Organ transplants, assissted suicide- limits on "santity of life" *It sucks to be a thinker! *End of part 1. Please turn record over for part 2. TS Special Edition: Getting Fabulous on the Radio! | Back when I was new to this whole audio thing, I put radio segments in the podcast feed. I no longer do it daily (it's really a lot of work to cut/paste 4-6 segments a day!), but every now and then I want to share some of what I'm doing over on KWSS Radio. This past Friday I had my friend Amy Donohue on the show as a co-host, and we had a blast! She also told her story of becoming a kidney doner, and the good and sometimes bad associated with the process. I took all the tracks and put them together minus music- about an hour. We talk everything from her kidney and the awesome lady getting it, to the 80's and why we love the decade so much. Even a bit of politics sneaks its way in! Enjoy! TS Headlines Week Of 1/24/2011 | Have been working on a podcasting presentation, as well as a little freelance writing (I know, right?), so a slight delay on headlines. They are still pretty relevant to hear however. Especially since a few were hardly talked about at all in the media. Show Length: 14 minutes. *Oh that President Bush. They are still finding illegal skeletons in his illegal closet. Again, a call for accountability? Yeah, right. *Mexico begins iris scans for identification. *Those corporations, they sure like Republicans. *Vermont wants to revoke the right of personhood to corporations. I can't believe you need to revoke something that is so obvious. *The US vs. The UN. Or should I say, conservative US vs. the UN. *Russia wants revenge for bombing. *People are still able to buy guns at a gun show, even when the seller knows that the buyer might not pass a background check. *If Rush Limbaugh can receive the "Defender of the Constitution" award, I guess Rumsfeld can too. *Two examples of how NOT to celebrate MLK Day. Then I tell you what *I* think. ;-) *Jon Stewart has a somber moment during the Daily Show. *Can't we just talk about Huck Finn? *Media FAIL. *The blame game begins. *This is not the first time I've covered this topic. *Tennessee Church shooting in 2008 *TS 59: Ignore the Pull of your Prejudice. *Totally unrelated, but that show was 59 and this one is 95. Odd. *One of my favorite writers, Tim Wise, makes a great point about the environment you live in. *The Espresso Pundit also makes a point, but not quite as eloquently. *Rhetoric is just making stuff up. *Some conservatives actually say liberals are happy about the shooting. *Right Wing News audio *Guess it's ok when HE does it. *The left really handled it wrong. *It's not polite to point! *Sheriff Dupnik of Pima County should be listened to. *There is a point, I swear! *Facts vs. Emotions *Optimism with a snarky side of Skepticism *Be excellent to each other. ExplicitTS94: Have Yourself A Tolerant Little Christmas | Was going to take a break until the new year, but then came across a little letter to the editor of the Arizona Republic that made me want to say a few words. So consider this an "audio holiday card" for all of you. Oh, and in the holiday spirit, I drop one F-bomb. Be warned, younger listeners! (really, I have them!) I'm also slowly downsizing my holiday, and becoming less stressed because of it- it's a wonderful feeling! I talk about it a bit in the episode, but I also just came across a great blog post from Zen Habits that seemed to help explain how I've been feeling. It was very, well, zen. :-) Have an excellent holiday, or, if you do not celebrate the holiday, have a great couple of weeks. I'll be back after the New Year with headlines and more seeking! ~Dani PS- This sticker is on my van now. I love it! ExplicitTS89: Three Chords And The Truth | Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Harlan Howard may have been speaking about only one type of music when he said “Country music is three chords and the truth.”, but I think it’s fair to say that you can pick truth from any type of music, and certainly through any musician or groups leanings. This is the topic of the episode, and my guest is Scott Josephson. Recorded on April 19th, a couple of days after Pat’s Run. This runs long, an hour 12 minutes, but it’s a good look into a couple of things we both love, music and politics. -Pat’s Run! Yeah, it happened almost three weeks ago now! We recap. -Music and politics. It’s always been there. It will always be there. -Influences on people. -Yeah I have one HORRIBLE grammar fail in this episode. I'm sure everyone knows about all the wonderful Tea Parties taking place across the US (which regardless of what anyone says about the mainstream media, still received way more attention than ANY Iraq War protest). TS Special Edition: Same Sex Marriage | Not a long show- but something I had to share. This is an interview from today's Democracy Now with a 12-year old girl who testified in Vermont supporting her mother's right to marry her partner. Vermont overturned the governor's veto, therefore same sex marriage will become legal in yet another state. This topic is very important to me personally, and this interview is exactly what we need more of- hearing from the voices of those who are in loving families of same-sex parents. This will always be an equal-rights issue, no matter how those against same sex marriage try and muddy the waters with their skewed ideas of what is moral. Spread the word, let these voices be heard! TS42.5: Not The Speech You Expect | In honor of Martin Luther King's birthday 79 years ago today, a speech originally given in 1967. Also one I personally think encompasses what he was about even more than his "I Have A Dream" speech. "I Have A Dream", made popular by the media, I feel because it was the easiest for white America. This speech is much more telling of the times and the viewpoints of Dr. King. A perspective that can still ring hauntingly true today in many instances. Yes, we've come far, but we as a country still have far to go when it comes to race relations. Enjoy, and peace. *Biography of MLK *Respectfully swiped from The Lost Massey Lectures Podcast *The TS Theme song: "Camp Walk"- Derek K. Miller. TS Music Special: Bad Dog No Biscuit | Hey seekers! I had the most AWESOME of interviews at the station tonight (well at this point it is last night), and I want to introduce the band to you! It was really great- Steve is quite a guy and I loved his thoughts about getting back to a more cultural music scene. All songs are by Bad Dog No Biscuit, an R&B/Funk/ Blues/ Latin band. You can find out more about them at their website: http://www.baddognobiscuit.net/ And hear tunes on their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/badogrecords The recording is a bit choppy- I let it run here at home when I was at the station. TS Special: The Update Before Christmas | A little holiday present for everyone- three weeks ago a thread began on the Podcast Pickle forums. Two amazing podcasters wanted to show some love to a great podcast directory and community. It turns out that many other podcasters wanted to show some love as well. This was the result. Enjoy! The Update Before Christmas by Wesley Clifford and Will Ross Adapted from the Poem "The Night Before Christmas" By Clement Clark Moore Twas the night before Christmas, and all 'cross the net, (Wintersheart) No RSS updates, and so no shows to get. (Mr. Bob) The iPods were docked to the computers with care, (Barely Podcasting) In hopes that P Dilly soon would be there. (TVindy) All the Casters were nestled all snug in their beds, (Brother Osric) While visions of Microphones danced in their heads. (mrsb) And mamma in her ipod, 80 gigs vast (Rubberhead) We had just settled in to finish our casts. (Laurence Simon) When on my computer the hard drive did clatter, (Blissfully Unfulfilled) I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. (Juliann) Fingers on my keyboard they flew like a flash, (Laieanna) It'd just be my luck if Windows did crash. (Eclectic Mix) But the moon through the window on my computer below, (Twilight) showed an empty podcatcher, with not a one show. (comedy4cast) But then, what to my wondering eyes should appear, (DiggersStory) But a great giant pickle, and eight tiny reindeer! (Dani) With a little old driver, so lively and quick, (Philosophy Guy) I knew in a moment it must be St Pick! (Zedcaster) More rapid than broadband his casters they came, (Geek Acres) And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name! (Tony -FanboySmackdown) Now Rob Walsh! Now Ely! Now Hutchins and Sigler! (Mostly News) On Clinton, On Ellis! On Leo and Digger! (Brother Osric) And down through the modem, through the firewall! (Lynnette from SCRAPcast) Now download 'em! Download 'em! Download 'em all!" (Jen and Corey) As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, (KevinLeeC) When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky. (Planet Retcon) So up to the rooftop the casters they flew, (SysTris) With the jar full of Casts, and P Dilly too. (KC Weather) I heard on the rooftop, the shows I loved most! (Mostly News) The talking and laughing of each beloved host! (Dani) As I drew in my head, and was turning around, (Thats good to know) Down the chimney P Dilly came with a bound. (Brother Osric) He was dressed all in green, from his head to his foot, (Shelly) And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot. (Zedcaster) A bundle of Feeds he had flung on his back, (Slusy) And he looked like a pickle, like a podcasting snack. (PNR Mikey) His eyes-how they twinkled! Green pimples how merry! (The Right Rev Chumley) His cheeks were like roses, his nose a green cherry! (Dry Shave, Karen) He held a wide smile, from his nose to his chin. (RL Burt) And the beard that he wore, was green as a gherkin. (the Keeme) The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, (Allie) And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath. (John) He had a green face and a little round belly, (The Diva) That shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly. (Laieanna) He was chubby and plump, with a jar full of pickles, (Mrs b ) And I laughed when I saw him, just like i'd been tickled! (Blissfully Unfulfilled) A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, (The Half (Me-Saj) ) Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread. (The Half (Jason) ) He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, (Eclectic Mix) And filled all the ipods, then turned with a jerk. (Comedy4Cast) And laying his finger aside of his nose, (KevinLeeC) And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose! (Worlds of Wayne) He sprang to his sleigh, and the podcasters whistled, (Brother Osric) And away they all flew like guided cruise missile. (Barely Podcasting) But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight, (Random) "Happy Podding to all, and to all a good-night!" (Links to all the podcasters in | 12/22/06 | Free | View In iTunes |

TS19: The No-Fly Holiday Show | Because it’s so close to Christmas, I shook up the format for this episode a bit. Since I began the podcast in March, this is my first holiday of podcasting- I hope everyone enjoys it! I apologize for the horrendous audio quality. I have audio from my travels to Boston the first week of December- and how they were halted halfway through for a day in Chicago. Then the interview with Bruce is not the best quality, though with all of it I tried to clean it up the best I can. (Note to Santa: iRiver? Please? I think I’ve been good, though don’t talk to _______ and ______, and most certainly not _______, - ok?) Here’s the rundown: -Intro: Mostly News -Promo: Public Nuisance Radio -Live from Chicago, and the truth about being incoherent at 5 in the morning. - Song: Re-gifting for the holidays -Chicago part two: Time flies when you’re listening to a podcast -Deep thought about computer over-abundance -Please don’t mace him! -watch lists and no fly lists and the government, oh my! -will she ever leave the Windy City? - Song: Sick of Christmas (sung by Santa) -Podcast Pickle, and how awesome the number 57 is. -last installment of my interview with Bruce Carter. Still chock full of great discussion. We cover Race, class, and my love/hate relationship with Lou Dobbs, the sham war on terror, and sham Democrats who still acknowledge a War on Terror, and tons more! (for those who might want to jump ahead (but really, who would want to?), the interview portion is 35 minutes) -Don’t forget that voicemail line! 206-350-0669 -Final Song: Sleigh Ride by the Hipcola All songs can be found on the podsafe music network Merry Christmas!! A Tillman Speaks, and the Libertarians are shunned | Pat Tillman's brother Kevin's amazing letter to the public- and is worth putting the entire text of here. Also, third party candidates are not allowed to participate in congressional debates. Bad form Hillary, really bad form. After Pat's Birthday Posted on Oct 19, 2006 Pat and Kevin Tillman Courtesy the Tillman Family By Kevin Tillman It is Pat's birthday on November 6, and elections are the day after. It gets me thinking about a conversation I had with Pat before we joined the military. He spoke about the risks with signing the papers. How once we committed, we were at the mercy of the American leadership and the American people. How we could be thrown in a direction not of our volition. How fighting as a soldier would leave us without a voice until we get out. Much has happened since we handed over our voice: Somehow we were sent to invade a nation because it was a direct threat to the American people, or to the world, or harbored terrorists, or was involved in the September 11 attacks, or received weapons-grade uranium from Niger, or had mobile weapons labs, or WMD, or had a need to be liberated, or we needed to establish a democracy, or stop an insurgency, or stop a civil war we created that can't be called a civil war even though it is. Something like that. Somehow America has become a country that projects everything that it is not and condemns everything that it is. Somehow our elected leaders were subverting international law and humanity by setting up secret prisons around the world, secretly kidnapping people, secretly holding them indefinitely, secretly not charging them with anything, secretly torturing them. Somehow that overt policy of torture became the fault of a few bad apples in the military. Somehow back at home, support for the soldiers meant having a five-year-old kindergartener scribble a picture with crayons and send it overseas, or slapping stickers on cars, or lobbying Congress for an extra pad in a helmet. It's interesting that a soldier on his third or fourth tour should care about a drawing from a five-year-old; or a faded sticker on a car as his friends die around him; or an extra pad in a helmet, as if it will protect him when an IED throws his vehicle 50 feet into the air as his body comes apart and his skin melts to the seat. Somehow the more soldiers that die, the more legitimate the illegal invasion becomes. Somehow American leadership, whose only credit is lying to its people and illegally invading a nation, has been allowed to steal the courage, virtue and honor of its soldiers on the ground. Somehow those afraid to fight an illegal invasion decades ago are allowed to send soldiers to die for an illegal invasion they started. Somehow faking character, virtue and strength is tolerated. Somehow profiting from tragedy and horror is tolerated. Somehow the death of tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of people is tolerated. Somehow subversion of the Bill of Rights and The Constitution is tolerated. Somehow suspension of Habeas Corpus is supposed to keep this country safe. Somehow torture is tolerated. Somehow lying is tolerated. Somehow reason is being discarded for faith, dogma, and nonsense. Somehow American leadership managed to create a more dangerous world. Somehow a narrative is more important than reality. Somehow America has become a country that projects everything that it is not and condemns everything that it is. Somehow the most reasonable, trusted and respected country in the world has become one of the most irrational, belligerent, feared, and distrusted countries in the world. Somehow being politically informed, diligent, and skeptical has been replaced by apathy through active ignorance. Somehow the same incompetent, narcissistic, virtueless, vacuous, malicious criminals are still in charge of this country. Somehow this is tolerated. Somehow nobody is accountable for this. In a democracy, the policy of the leaders is the policy of the | 10/25/06 | Free | View In iTunes |

Schools helping the environment and the community | My last quickie for tonight. Schools in my community are encouraging students to walk or bike to school rather than taking the bus. Thoughts from the PME- Truth Seeking Exclusive | All right- I've had a couple people tell me I should put my audio from the expo in the podcast feed as well as my direct link- so here it is. :-) Seeking truth in Ontario, California! Methinks I got more than I bargained for, and it's all good. All ready looking forward to next year and the THREE day event! I close out with the song that is becoming VERY popular in the inner-podcast circle, but it is perfect to tack on the end of this mini cast. Spread the word, because you don't need an iPod... Are We Really Protecting Marriage? | I am working on the next show- but I've been a busy little dissenter. Say hello to the voice of the evening (hey it's better than lady!) on kqcx FM here in a town just a little south of the spiderhole, Queen Creek. Mostly bringing an awesome and very eclectic mix of alternative music, I do get the occasional chance to get some politics off my chest. I thought I would add them as supplements in the podcast feed. It will probably be local Arizona news for the most part, but true to the term "show notes", I will give you the head's up so you can decide whether to satisfy that curiousity or not. Tonight, I spoke a little bit about the Protect Marriage Arizona Act, which basically make marriage between a man and a woman. The ramifications, however, go much further than a gay marriage ban. *KQCX 99one FM *Information on Prop 107 | 9/25/06 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitPeace, Order, and Good Government | Well, here I am again. Please don't get used to the consistancy. Though I have been more organized with my time lately, so who knows. Still, as soon as I say it will be every 1 1/2 to 2 weeks, it will be a month before I get another show out. Hope you are all enjoying the ride right now, at any rate. Katrina? Who's Katrina? That seems to be the attitude right now as we head into the 5th anniversary of 9/11. Oh yes, I had something to say about it... Then a special guest with his own "Deep Thoughts"... and the beginning of a new segment. Also, I have a belated Happy Labor Day for you, followed by the final installment of my talk with Jack. (I figure we are ALL on first-name basis by now!) ;-) Guess what? I got my very first voicemail!! I am so overcome with emotion, I play it for you. A Somber Anniversary | A year ago Hurricane Katrina became the biggest natural disaster ever to hit the United States. A new documentary is out by Spike Lee about Katrina, and after watching, I had a few things to say. Had so much to say I even skipped the headlines this time, but I have a challenge out there for you... Also, part two of my chat with Jack Ward about ideas, and Ideas the radio show. I need to apologize because this recording suddenly became REALLY crappy, and no matter what I did I couldn't get rid of it. All of this recorded during an early morning thunderstorm, so I have background music! Speaking of music, stick around for this week's tune... it's orally satisfying... Dani Hearts Canada | Oh dear me. Been a couple weeks, eh? Well, I've returned, and am just chock-full of Back-to-School and Canadian goodness. So much Canadian goodness, I had to change the title of the episode! But you'll hear more about (aboot?) that when you listen. There's lots of different stuff in this episode, and I decided there was so much I would give times to where things begin during the show, in case you wanna skip through. But I know, y'all would NEVER do that to this legend in her own mind! Seeking Truth from the Right | Oh what a show! First I hear an amazing episode of a podcast at the gym that nearly causes me to fall off my stairmaster. What listening DID do is get me to race home, and change my entire intro and promo to this podcast. (which I will definitely use for the next episode- but this podcast was great and it was one of those instant inspiration things!) Then, the first of my two-part interview with my first conservative guest. It was such a great interview, I had to split it because we chatted so long! This is also my first time stepping out of my normal comfy zone of network friends.... and ya know I didn't do half bad. ;-) Enjoy- and please tell me what you think any of the topics discussed, or my charming interview skills... ExplicitMoussaui, Immigration, and Condoms- oh MY! | Was not feeling my groove this episode.. but I managed to get my s**t together. Panel didn't quite come together either, so I conned my dear partner in political crime to chat with me once again about the state of our Union (as in the United States, not Dave and I personally!) Word of caution! I can't believe I have to stick a disclaimer on this one, but ohhhhhh do I ever! If you've got a problem with talking about self love bluntly, this episode is not for you! Good podcast
Identifies interesting topics, explains the background well and provides intelligent commentary. This one is worth a listen.
Seeking the Truth Ain't Easy
Dani is on the path seeking truth and the shows I listened to had her pushing for exactly this. No need to mince words here, if you're into obfuscation then this podcast is not for you, if you want the direct route then it is. I did enjoy the discussion with Jack Ward - thanks for offering that.
A great podcast
dani is a witty and funny hostess. The shows tend to be political in nature and she wonders the same things many of us do, I suspect. Right leaners, Neo-Cons beware! A woman with a mind and not a talking head!
