CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 77: Mad Men, Hunger Games, Search Engine Optimization | Could it be that Todd and Libby have recorded another podcast and didn't take months to do so? Will wonders ever cease? In this episode, Todd and Libby torture their cats, leave the house to see The Hunger Games, celebrate Community's good ratings news, and answer a few of your questions. Plus, they introduce a new segment, called, "Let's Talk In Vague Generalities About The Mad Men Premiere." And then Libby is gunned down by Matt Weiner. There's only one way to express our sorrow: :( | 3/24/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 76: Libby Hill's Arizona Through The Back Door | The only way you could get Todd and Libby to record a new podcast together was to close them inside of a moving car together, so that's exactly what they did, sending them on a weird odyssey through Arizona in the middle of the night and asking them to talk about the return of Community, this season of Archer, and the cancellation of Luck. Then, they'll answer 10 of your questions and mostly p**s you off. Thank God they bought that new USB cord, eh? Note: This episode has some weird, intermittent audio issues, but they will pass within a couple of seconds if you give it a little time. | 3/15/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 75: The Five Best TV Characters of 2011 | Todd and Libby are joined by the magical, mystical David Sims and Zack Handlen to discuss the recent news that American Horror Story is going to do something new with every new season and their five favorite TV characters of 2011. Included are copious discussion about what makes Pam from Archer awesome, some thoughts on what it means to be a great character in a bad show, and Todd's proposal for a series called "Squatchin'." | 12/31/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Christmas Special 2011: Merry Happy! | Todd and Libby drop in on this fine Christmas evening to share with you a couple of tales of the season, including Todd reading from the short stories of Bret Harte and Libby reading from Laura Ingalls Wilder's The Long Winter. Thanks for listening in 2011, and we can't wait to keep talking TV with you in 2012. | 12/25/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 74: Awkward Pauses | Todd and Libby went away, but they're back now, and they've gotten VERY BAD AT PODCASTING. Expect frequent pauses to look at kittens, lots of awkward stuttering, and some actual TV discussion in between all of that, including segments in which Libby tells everyone who didn't like the Homeland finale that they're bad and wrong. Also: American Horror Story, Parks & Recreation, Community, Up All Night, changing distribution models for television, 2 Broke Girls, and why Breaking Bad season four was terrible. | 12/19/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 73: Surrounded By Cats! | Todd and Libby are back with the first part of a two-part podcast, and they're surrounded by cats! They're also answering 10 of your questions, handpicked by Libby, including thoughts that will almost certainly offend those of you who like Republicans, Dexter, and other terrible things. (Ha ha!) Also, a lot of theorizing about New Girl and some laughs. | 11/10/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 72: Mad Bad | Todd and Libby have been away, but they return to tell you of their travels. This mostly just means they saw the Breaking Bad finale a while back and didn't want to spoil it for you. But that means this episode is filled with talk of the show's fourth season, with lots and lots of discussion of what happened and what WILL happen. Before that, though, we've got plenty of talk about the season's new comedies, including Libby's strange theories about one of her new favorites, Todd's thoughts on why New Girl will eventually(?) get irritating, and some discussion of the wonders of Raising Hope. Who's that Todd? IT'S TODD! | 10/9/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitTV on the Internet, Episode 71: It's Cooler If You Stick An 8 In It Somewhere | Guess what, America? The Emmys are tonight, and that means Erik and Ted have dropped by to tell us just what to expect (hint: disappointment). At the same time, Todd and Libby realize they've been gone too long and share their thoughts on the latest seasons of Breaking Bad and Louie, before talking a bit about the new shows that debuted last week and a few that debut this week. It's a grand old time for everyone! | 9/18/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 70: It Doesn't Take Rachel McAdams Getting Hit By A Bus For People To Realize They Like Each Other | Todd and Libby invite some guests over because apparently that's the only way they can ever record podcasts anymore. Joining them this week are Alyssa Rosenberg of Think Progress and the Atlantic and Myles McNutt of Cultural Learnings and The A.V. Club. Included in the discussion are the surprise shows of the summer, whether Aaron Sorkin has made the Obama presidency seem more disappointing, just what's up with Unforgettable, and the unrelenting racist overtones of True Blood. Enjoy! | 8/24/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 69: Divorce, TVOTI Style | After Todd spent three weeks at Comic-Con and TCA press tour, Todd and Libby are finally together again and recording podcasts. Included this week, discussion of ABC Family's new show The Lying Game, plus cable's three new fall drama pilots, Hell On Wheels, American Horror Story, and Homeland. It's all capped off with discussion of the strange identity of Caspar Babypants, a look into Libby's side-gig, and a very uncomfortable segment about knife-fighting and celebrity crushes. | 8/10/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 68: Hey, TVOTI, Welcome To The '60s | Todd and Libby take a magical voyage back to a time when the world was filled with optimism, hope, social change, and hippies, as they return to the 1960s with NBC's new fall show The Playboy Club and ABC's new fall show Pan Am. (They like one much more than the other.) They also discuss the Emmy nominations several days late, agreeing that they're pretty good, as these things go. And in the centerpiece, the thing you came to hear, they talk about how they liked the first three episodes of the fourth season of Breaking Bad. (Perhaps unsurprisingly, they enjoyed them very much.) | 7/17/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 67: Emmy Justice | It's time for the annual Emmy nominations prediction podcast, and Todd is joined by Erik Anderson of Awards Prophets and Big Ted of For Your Speculation, as he always is. Topics include just why the Emmys might fall hard for Hot In Cleveland, Ted's belief in the strength of Justified, and Erik tries to keep everyone's hopes in check. Libby, meanwhile, is off doing something else, though she's dismayed to learn more about what Todd's been doing with his time. And make sure to keep your ears peeled for a very special guest star. | 7/12/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 66: Being In Separate Cities Makes Us Sleepy | Libby's in Detroit, either taking photos of unexpectedly gorgeous architectural ruins or babysitting. It's not immediately clear which. Todd is still in California and slowly falling apart. But they didn't forget about you, and they didn't foget to get on Skype and talk about a bunch of stuff, including fielding 20 of your questions. Included in this podcast are thoughts on three new sitcoms starring hipster girls, Todd's complete lack of knowledge on the Casey Anthony trial, and Libby's feelings on her hidden past as a youth rodeo champion. All that plus songs! | 6/30/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 65: Finally, A Podcast About TV AND Clinical Depression | Todd and Libby return with answers to 32 of your questions, including five about Game Of Thrones--they're fer it!--five about The Killing--they're agin' it, but find the outrage a little weird!--ten about TV in general, five about non-TV topics, and seven about other stuff. Included are Todd's lapse into body image issues, Libby's disturbing love for a TLC staple, and Todd's account of the time he saw a legitimate contender for worst movie ever made in theaters. | 6/24/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 64: The Top 30 TV Series of the 2010-11 Season | It's that time of year again. Todd and Libby invite special guests Carrie Raisler and David Sims (both of The A.V. Club) to discuss the 30 best shows of the 2010-11 TV season. Included are various attempts (and failures) to stay positive, a sterling defense of Grey's Anatomy, shocking admissions about what David hasn't seen, the greatest outtake ever, and Libby's general befuddlement about how everybody else could like Rubicon so much. The sound quality's not always the best, but it's in stereo-surround sound! Bear with us. We're still learning how to do this. | 6/15/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitTV on the Internet, Episode 63: Salute To Daytime Television | Todd and Libby disappeared because they've been on vacation. And that means that they've been watching lots of daytime television, and they're here to talk about it! Eventually, though, they'll answer some of your questions, do a surprise top five about underrated American cities, and make fun of people who won't watch Cougar Town because of the title. Along the way, there'll be an Inception-inspired surprise top five party, lots of discussion of Divorce Court, and Libby's awesome name for a bar that only serves soda. | 6/7/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Upfronts Special: The CW is a H8R | Upfronts week concludes with Todd and Libby taking on a network they don't much care about, The CW. Nonetheless, this one turns into their weirdest, most wide-ranging discussion yet. Topics include: Libby's attempts to get on the new reality show H8R, Todd's bafflement at the idea of new reality series The Frame, and Todd's attempts to explain why he doesn't much get the love for Sarah Michelle Gellar without offending anyone (and almost certainly failing). | 5/20/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

18 |
CleanTV on the Internet, Upfronts Special: CBS gives McGruff the Crime Dog a gritty reboot | Todd and Libby are so tired. So very, very tired. Yet here they are, continuing on with CBS' weirdly promising fall lineup, talking of how the network might be the boldest scheduler on television and a show seemingly inspired by random news items about Marilu Henner. Also, Libby finds her multi-camera sitcom love for the year, Todd likes Jonathan Demme too much, and they both wish Michael Emerson would describe things ridiculously more often. | 5/19/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

19 |
CleanTV on the Internet, Upfronts Special: ABC presents "Scenes From The Mancession" | It's day two of Todd and Libby's special upfronts coverage. They're in a better mood, mostly because the ABC trailers were shorter than the ones for Fox and NBC and, thus, they didn't have to watch as much. But that doesn't mean they won't make several controversial and idiotic assertions, based entirely on footage seen without context and cut together to appeal to advertisers! Included: Todd compares the new Tim Allen show to Modern Family (favorably!). Libby has a Feminism Moment. Both question whether teenagers in the suburbs have more or less sex. It's a glorious new day! | 5/18/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Upfronts Special: Takin' Quaaludes with Fox and NBC | Welcome to Upfronts Week at TVOTI, where Todd and Libby embark on a possibly suicidal mission to cover all of the new network schedules. Today, they tackle Fox and NBC, with Libby's alters taking possession of her body, Todd singing a song he made up about dinosaurs, and the kickass tubas of Boban Markovic Orkestar. Oh, and a bunch of shows that will probably be canceled by this time next year. | 5/17/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, episode 62: Sexy Butt | Apologies for the length, but it's a BIG WEEK. Todd and Libby take you through upfronts and what to expect in the fall (Libby only begrudgingly), then discuss the second and third seasons of Community and Parks And Recreation respectively, complete with theorizing on how Community is like Deadwood and Parks And Recreation is like The Wire (and a special surprise comedy is like The Sopranos). Also, Todd talks about snow globes a lot. There's time for a Scrubs-themed surprise top five, answers to your questions (including the depressing realities of network economics), and Todd's impression of the lead singer from The Verve Pipe. Huzzah! | 5/15/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

22 |
CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 61: Podcasts Are Magic! | This week, Todd and Libby accidentally let you in on what they're doing in their spare time, then take you through a host of big episodes and finales, including the second season finale of Justified, the fifth season finale of 30 Rock, the third season finale of Fringe, and the last Michael Scott episode of The Office (as well as the first episode without Michael). They also find time to discuss awesome season finales, answer your questions, and explain why t*****s are a sometimes yay. | 5/7/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 60: Ass-Kicker Saturday | It's Ass-Kicker Saturday, and Todd and Libby are in high spirits, as they celebrate the returns of Doctor Who and Treme. They also talk at length about Parenthood for some reason, then discuss particularly good episodes of Community and Parks & Recreation. There's also talk of Cougar Town, some X-Files rambling, Todd's discussion of his process, Libby's attempt to convince the world Libby Talk shouldn't happen, and a long, frankly embarrassing ramble about South Dakota. In the words of that irritating fairy from that one Zelda game: "Listen!" | 4/24/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

TV on the Internet, Episode 59: Presenting The Year's Most Hotly Anticipated Debut: The Paul Reiser Show! | It's a weirdly big week for TV, so Todd and Libby review all of the hot new series, including Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, Happy Endings, and The Paul Reiser Show (which we know you've been excited for). They also answer your questions, talk about the top five male role models and the top five child performances on TV, and discuss a controversial American Idol ouster. Plus, Justified! And, OK, they talk for a half hour or so about a certain much anticipated HBO show about magic elves or whatever. | 4/14/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

25 |
CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 58: History's Greatest Podcast | It's a slow week in the televisual universe, which means Todd and Libby are reduced to talking about the new Christian Slater comedy Breaking In, The Borgias, Mobbed, Camelot, and the Grey's Anatomy musical. This episode also includes more than you would ever want to know about America's Next Great Restaurant, Libby's list of the five strongest female characters on current TV dramas, and the answers to five of your viewer mail questions. | 4/5/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

26 |
ExplicitTV on the Internet, Episode 57: Electrobeatz and Justin Case | For this episode of TVOTI, Todd and Libby take on new super awesome podcast names, all the better to review a ton of new shows. First, they look back at the Big Love that was (and celebrate the renewal of Fringe), then they move on to talk about Nurse Jackie and The United States of Tara. They wrap it all up with thoughts on the new series Body of Proof and The Killing. Also, there may or may not be a bunch of band names taken from psychology terms. | 3/29/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

TV on the Internet, Episode 56: Apologies to all of you, but we're NEVER DOING THIS AGAIN | Oh, sure, Todd and Libby said. It'll be FUN to do another viewer mail podcast. The viewers will LIKE that. They'll ask us great questions. Well, 80-plus questions and three hours later, we're exhausted. And here are the "fruits" of our labor. Enjoy? | 3/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 55: Your Glee Problem And Mine | Libby's feeling cranky, and Glee's the entire reason. Well, not really, but Todd and Libby wanted to talk about why they're just not that into Glee anymore, even if it's been getting better in the last few weeks. They're also considering what's going to happen with the new fall schedules and what's going to be canceled or renewed. Other topics include the latest, awesomest episode of Justified, the cuteness of Amy Pond, and Robert Frost. No, really! Robert Frost! We're cultured. | 3/13/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
|
29 |
TV on the Internet, Episode 54: Way To Bee | Todd and Libby have just about had it with shows where elite crime solving squads track down impossible to catch criminals. Care to imagine what they thought of A&E's new Breakout Kings? It probably won't be hard to guess. On the other hand, the two share their amazing restaurant ideas while considering NBC's America's Next Great Restaurant. And then it's question time, complete with musing on Archer, iCarly, whether FX is on the greatest streak of all time, Lights Out, and whether they're more excited for The Killing or Game Of Thrones. The answers may surprise you. All of the swearing almost certainly will. | 3/5/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

TV on the Internet, Episode 53: Congratulations, nerds! | Todd and Libby are ready to tackle the hard questions this week, questions like, what's to be done with Charlie Sheen? How is The Good Wife like The Wire? Will Parenthood stay this good? Who does Libby 'ship on all of the shows she watches? And what's Todd's Parks and Rec problem? What's Libby's Community problem? What's YOUR problem? Bonus: The embarrassing revelation of the only TV couple Todd has ever 'shipped. All this, and more, on the new TV on the Internet! | 2/28/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

TV on the Internet, Episode 52: And the TVOTI Goes To ... | Two podcasts in a week? What is this? The end of the world? Todd and Libby are back to talk about many things, and it will take them nearly two-and-a-quarter hours to do so. Topics include next weekend's Oscars, the final season of Friday Night Lights, the final season of Big Love (so far), Pierce Hawthorne's evilness, whether there can ever be too much Ron Swanson, shows Todd looks forward to, which novel should win the Pulitzer, and whether too many people are ignoring TV's past in favor of its present. CleanTV on the Internet, Episode 51: Clearly, This Podcast Is Cursed | Hey, everyone. It's been a while. How are you doing? My goodness, Mrs. Tucker, that baby's really coming along. We recorded this podcast on Friday, February 4, but due to technical issues, we had to re-edit the whole thing together from scratch. Fortunately for all of us, however, we ended up with a great special guest that made us want to stitch the whole thing together. Maureen Ryan from AOL's TV Squad joined us to talk about a great many things, including The Chicago Code, Traffic Light, Justified, and the changing role of TV critics online. Fortunately, thanks to a recent Slate article, this has all become weirdly relevant, so you can listen to us and pretend we know what we're talking about! | 2/16/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

TV on the Internet, Episode 50: Repeat the Question Please | Ho, ho, ho! Merry happy! Todd and Libby offer a special BONUS edition of the podcast to make up for all of those weeks they missed. This one features answers to 41 questions left for them at the show's Formspring account. Many of them are now largely nonsensical, but there's some interesting discussion of serialization vs. standalone episodes, why people didn't watch Terriers, and how TV fans are impatient. | 12/16/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

TV on the Internet, Episode 49: Sure, it sounds terrible, but didn't you miss us? | Warning: This week's podcast sounds truly atrocious. We tried recording in a different room from the one we normally use, and this experiment resulted in our microphone being terribly confused by something and forgetting to record US. But you can make out what we're saying, and we didn't want to re-record what we think is a pretty cool hour, so here you go. We're talking about what the best comedy and drama of the first half of the season have been, with pit stops along the way to talk about the new episodes of Parks & Recreation, the Christmas episode of Community, and our favorite movies of the year. Customer Reviews
Insightful and silly.
Although not the most consistent of podcasts (please stay on schedule!), it ranks in my top 3 TV podcasts (and mind you, I listen to an absurd amount of podcasts related to television). The last reviewer did not have kind words for Libby, but I absolutely love her. I was actually saddened on the Oscars podcast when I realized she was not part of it. Todd is one of the most insightful TV critics and provides excellent, sharp contributions to the podcast. When they do get around to podcasting (and the computer isn't stolen) they produce one of the longest TV podcasts (a good thing in my opinion) in which they go through a large amount of shows. Their guest co-hosts are always fun and I especially enjoy when Myles McNutt is on. When they discuss shows they discuss them very insightfully, but it never gets too heavy to a point where it becomes boring. The rapport between Todd and Libby keeps the podcast light and silly and makes it a fun listen every week(-ish).
One of the best TV podcasts around
I've spent the past week catching up on this 'cast, and it's terrific stuff, passionate, informed, and infectiously amusing. (In the good way infectious, I mean. You don't feel like scratching afterwards. At least, I haven't yet.) Definitely check it out.
Libby has destroyed this podcast
Todd is brilliant, a great mind on the the little box. Libby, who I suspect is his girlfriend or wife, because she has no real perspective on this topic, is endlessly irritating and seems like she's flirting with Todd on their first date. Todd will give a disquisition and Libby will snarkily reply, "Meeeh". I've stopped listening except for the non-Libby shows.
