Good When It Works
It is amazing how often CBS finds a way to screw up their podcast. Some weeks there will be no postings. Other weeks there will be bad files posted for download. Some weeks the feed just has incorrect download URLs. It has gotten to the point that it is a rarity for them to have viewable podcasts.
CBS Evening News
Is it news when it's 4 days old. CBS has to get this out in a timely way or there's no point to it. Why is the newest report 4 days old? Lack of availability of current reports causes me to revert to ABC World News more often than I'd like. CBS needs to get their crews going on the podcasts or get out.
It's the news .. what else do ya want?
This is just what I've been looking for .. I'm usually too busy at 6:30 to watch network news live (and frankly, local affiliate car dealer commercials drive me nuts). Great to have this without commercials .. to view when I want. Katie Couric still seems to be struggling a bit to find her groove as a basic "news reader". She shines where she's always shined .. when she's interactive - either with a reporter or interview subject. Overall .. very glad to have access to this.
