Great stuff right out of the gate

I'm not a big fan of video podcasts, I have to admit (and ironically, given my video production business) but this one I liked because it was to the point and quick for what it was trying to achieve. Add a little more humor to the mix and this could be something great: a tech show equally informative and fun. It's head and shoulders above most the first episodes I've seen, so I'm really looking forward to what they pull off by, say, episode 4.

Far below expectations for a professional outfit

You'd think a publication called "Videomaker" that delivers articles about making good video would practice what it preaches. It is painfully poorly done, unable to produce anything short of a couple of happy-go-lucky kids who say "Hey, let's make a movie!" While the magazine itself is OK at best (it doesn't take long to grow out of their content level), the podcast makes me really doubt their credibility. A living room podcast as someone's hobby is one thing, but these guys are supposed to be the pros. Please, guys, use a telepromptor, have a plan, and put your lavs on right!
