Eddie Carroll Interview (Remastered) | We are sad to announce that Eddie Carroll, the voice of Jiminy Cricket since 1973, has passed away today (April 6th, 2010) at the age of 76. He was a guest on our show back in October. We have remastered the episode with better audio quality and re-released it today in his memory. Eddie will be missed. Aside from a thriving actor career, Carroll has been providing the voice of Disney's Jiminy Cricket since 1973. You may have heard his voice as the famous cricket in Wishes, Spectromagic, Share a Dream Come True, Mickey's Christmas Carol, House of Mouse, Kingdom Hearts and well as countless other attractions and productions. Carroll as been in show business since the early 60's, appearing on television, in the movies and on the radio. Not very Disneyish
For a podcast about Disney this one isn't the best. I listen to many Disney podcasts and this one puts others down and mocks others. It may not be directly but you can read between the lines. For example, Shawn is giving a shout out to Beci and MEI and Katie is in the background making noises and hoping it gets edited out. If you are going to have a podcast like this then you need to support everyone in the Disney community and if you can't then keep your comments to yourself.
Needs a LOT of work
The content of the shows is a little too inconsistent... great topics one week, terrible ones the next. Katie and Shawn also come across as a little monotoned... not sure whether that is the poor sound or just the way they are. Also they seem unprepared when interviewing guests, like having to go to the internet for research during the show. If you are going to land such big guests, PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
Great podcast
I am a former wdw cast member living on the west coast. I love listening to this podcast to plan my next trips back and keep memories fresh. I am a frequent visitor to Disneyland in California, and a Disney Vacation Club member and this podcast is very informative. Any fan of wdw or Disney for that matter would enjoy this podcast. The only thing I would ask fr is more info or possibly compare/contrast of the different hotels/vacation club resorts.
