Customer Reviews

Good.. But not quite great.

This was a good Podcast/book. The production values were great with superb voice work and stunning auditory special effects. My reason for not giving a a full 5 stars is due to the story itself. It was a bit hard to follow due to there being many female characters of relatively close ages and having only one female voice actor. This was made even more challenging by the author skipping around in the timeline of the story. There were too many flash backs and flash forwards and just too many characters to keep track of.

Philippa has done it again

Philippa (Pip) Ballantine is an artist of the highest caliber. Her books are always well written and full of magic and intrigue. Weather Child is like a drug, you find yourself always coming back for more. Anxious for the next episode and hooked from the very beginning. If you like Fantasy Fiction you won't be disappointed. Check out her other books on Podiobooks.com if you can't find them on i-tunes.

Well written and entertaining book with excellent naration.

Phillipa is that rare author who can narate her books and you forget you are being read to. Although I think Chasing the bard to be a better book I enjoyed this one too. It's a bit choppy and the end seemed weak but well worth the time to listen or read!
