Worth Your Time, Even If It's Not Your Thing
I'm not a webcomic creator, and I have no plans to be, but I look forward to every new WW. The guys are hilarious, and much of their practical advice is applicable to all areas of buisness.
They call it Webcomics Weekly...
Dave Kellett, Brad Guigar, Scott Kurtz, and Kris Straub don't all just have last names that spellcheck thinks are misspelled, they're also some of the funniest guys podcasting. Webcomics Weekly is an essential learning tool for cartoonist looking to use the internet as a means of distribution and is an entertaining look into the process of 4 of webcomics best creators. WW is a must listen for people interested in cartooning in general and not just creators because topics discussed here every episode are directly relevant to the direction the medium is going. And did I mention that the show is just fun to listen to?
Elitist Fluff
This podcast give nothing towards any practical methods to get to the next level of the game. It really only serves as a platform for the self-proclaimed gods of webcomics to say "look how great we are." "print is dead but hey, buy our books." & "don't you wish you could be as cool & great as we think we are."
For real webcomic podcasts stick with TGT & Lightbox to get a feel how the rest of the world tries to bring their craft to the world, not the fluff and back padding of WW.
