Community Courts: Where We Live | American cities are rethinking their approach to what are often called “nuisance” crimes...like drinking in public, graffitti, vandalism, prostitution, and shoplifting. Chris Donovan: "Rest assured...we're going to be doing the jobs bill." | Outgoing Speaker of the House Chris Donovan said the jobs bill known as Senate Bill One will be passed during a special session. Cutting the Cord on Cable TV | Back in January we did a show about the cable industry and how it works. We found a lot of people ready to “cut the cord.” Why are so many ready to dump cable? Well, we learned that the average cable subscriber pays nearly 3 times as much now as they did in 2001. The average household now spends $86 a month, and that cost is expected to climb to $200 by 2020! Okay, those are some good re... | 5/18/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Best Connecticut radio news and talk program
From WNPR, daily intelligent talk.
Listen every morning...
Enjoy this show. I check it out every morning on my drive to work (from Colebrook, CT). The only thing I would change concerns the podcasts here: so few are available for download. I missed last week's show, "On Pleasure" but it's already been taken down so I can't compare with it's companion show, "On Pain". It would be nice to be able to get more shows. But love the topics covered...thanks!
WWL is truly a great show.
Since I've graduated from college I've been listening to where we live, at first I assumed it was a show that I had missed at it's 9am time slot, and I started listening to it daily. I like WWL because it approaches topics that affect CT and when they interview the people in charge it really put them in touch with the citizens of CT. Geographically/demographically CT is all over the place from rural, suburbia, rich, super rich, & urban it's nice to have a place where everyone can talk about what's happening,Where We Live.
