Highly Recommended

Bob McChesney's relaxed style creates an open atmosphere in which engaging interviews with fascinating guests blossom. The program's unifying subjects are media reform and media criticism, but the show invariably yields major insights into a myriad of important political stories and issues. McChesney brings a lot of intellectual firepower to the table, but the show is very listenable and the guests are extraordinary, especially considering that the show is not (yet) nationally syndicated. Guests have included Amy Goodman, Noam Chomsky, Katrina vanden Heuvel, Phil Donahue, Robert Scheer, Greg Palast, John Nichols, Howard Zinn, and Robert Fisk. I look foward to it every week!

Informative, In-Depth Discussions from An Alternative Point of View

McChesney's podcast is a gem, as he consistently gives voice to views often excluded from mainstream political discourse.

McChesney: The reason I bought my I-Pod

It's only natural, as a generally left-leaning person, to find myself tuning-in only to the voices that echo my already conceived notions of what's going on with our world & country. I came to conclude that left wing cheerleading programming (usually involving "let's talk about what those darn Republicans did to us this week...") were as ultimately useless to me as their right wing counterparts (and far less amusing).

I came to the realization that a majority of the media I was turning to, were there only as "comfort food" for my mind, and began whitling down my list to a reliable few who, I find, provide fresh or deeper insight to key issues, including Amy Goodman, Project Censored, Glenn Greenwald, Naomi Klein and Bob McChesney's Media Matters.

Media Matters consistently offers me "aha" moments about key issues including nuances or angles I've missed and has consistently given me fresh ways to understand the reasoning behind how and why our world has or will be shaped!

The show's format allows the guest plenty of latitude and time to thoughtfully examine the issues and follow with intelligent dialogue with both Bob and often (live shows) with callers too.

This show is a true gem.
