CleanWorship Ministry Catalyst Podcast – Episode 0088 – Running a Worship Band Rehearsal | Time is of the essence. Not only our time, but the time of the people who are serving in our worship ministries. They don’t have a lot of it, and they’re gracious enough to give their time to support the worship ministries in our churches. So, when they show up for a rehearsal, the responsibility falls on our shoulders to make sure we’re doing our absolute best to use their time wisely & efficiently. That’s why we’re talking about running a worship band rehearsal. We discuss each of our approaches and talk about some of the advantages to each of them. CleanWorship Ministry Catalyst Podcast – Episode 0087 – Taking care of yourself during Easter | I once heard Craig Groeschel say (I think he was quoting someone else) “I will never sacrifice my family on the altar of Ministry.” That statement hit me hard and stuck with me. That doesn’t make it easy. There are times in worship ministry when we have to have things out of balance in one way or another. There are times when our family will come first, but then there are times when ministry will come first. With Easter coming, David and Kevin talk about taking care of yourself during the busy seasons of ministry like Easter and Christmas. We also talk about balance. This is an episode you won’t want to miss! Whether you’re new or have been listening for quite some time, we would love to hear form you! CleanWorship Ministry Catalyst Podcast – Episode 0086 – Helping youth understand Worship Ministry | We live in the fastest paced society in history (at least history we know about). And with that pace comes a huge benefit – we get to do some amazing things that wouldn’t have ever been possible in the past. But there are some downfalls. For our youth, a downfall is that our worship ministries aren’t progressing fast enough. As a whole, there’s no way the average worship ministry will keep up with all the new songs our youth watch on YouTube, or with the fast changes in sounds and styles. So, what do we do about that? That’s what we talk about in this episode of the podcast. Whether you’re new or have been listening for quite some time, we would love to hear form you! CleanWorship Ministry Catalyst Podcast – Episode 0046 – God Songs | Well, I have to admit, I’m very excited about this podcast. The topic we’re starting to talk about this week is one that is huge for me. It’s something I’ve been interested in since I was a teenager, and was in fact my first real passion in music. That is the art of songwriting. It is most definitely an art and a craft, one that I’m very passionate about. Kevin & I have been talking about doing a series on podcasting for quite some time now, and we’re thrilled to be getting started. When this topic first came up, we decided we’d want to give it quite a bit of thought so that our end result was more methodical than whimsical. That was when we decided not to reinvent the wheel. Instead, we’re going to be going through the book God Songs by Paul Baloche & Jimmy & Carol Owens. (If you click on the title, it will take you directly to the store on Paul’s site where you can buy your own copy of the book.) By the way, if you haven’t checked out Paul’s Site: leadworship.com, you should do that. There are tons of great resources there for your worship team. CleanWorship Ministry Catalyst Podcast – Episode 0038 – Flow | Do you know what I’m talking about? You know….(long awkward pause)…. quiet song …… (long awkward pause with weird, random instrument noises) …. Loud song (scared to death from the shock of the loud sound, heart rate jumps through the roof). ….. beuler….beuler…. Etc. Picking up from last week’s episode we’re talking once again about creativity, and specifically about how to create good flow when we’re incorporating some of these creative elements. We don’t want the people whom we are trying to lead in worship to be victims of a worship tsunami, we want them to enjoy worship flow. CleanWorship Ministry Catalyst Podcast – Episode 0030 – Being too hard on ourselves | In this week’s episode, David and Kevin talk about “Being too hard on ourselves.” As musicians and artists, we have a tendency to only be pleased with how we perform when the performance is perfect, at least to us. It might not actually be perfect, but it’s perfect to us, we don’t notice any flaws. When that happens, we’re happy. When that doesn’t happen, we beat ourselves up thinking of all the things we could have done differently (not matter how small) to make it better. CleanWorship Ministry Catalyst Podcast – Episode 0028 – Time management and Rehearsal Preparation | In this week’s episode, David & Kevin talk about Time management and particularly how it relates to being prepared for rehearsals and other events. We talk about some of the struggles in getting prepared and some of the things we can do to be more prepared. This is a very important issue, one that can really add to or take away from our volunteers experience. If we’re prepared, we really set the stage for them to feel like they are succeeding and we also set them up for success. If we aren’t prepared, we’re communicating that it’s not all that important to come to rehearsal prepared, and we’re requiring more of them for all of us to be able to succeed. CleanWorship Ministry Catalyst Podcast – Episode 0014 – Leadership – Inspiring a Shared Vision | In this weeks episode of the Worship Ministry Catalyst Podcast we talk about Leadership, and specifically about vision. We’re taking part of our discussion from the book “The Leadership Challenge” by by James M. Kouzes and Barry Z. Posner. We realize that leadership is a huge topic, and is something that we all have a lot to learn about. We also realize it’s probably the most important topic for all of us. Whether we’re in a leadership role as a staff person, a worship leader or even for those who aren’t in a leadership role, leadership is still very important. If you have some thoughts on vision and leadership, please feel free to leave your comments on this post, or to send us an email through the contact form. | 10/3/08 | Free | View In iTunes |

Both Davd & Kevin were fighting colds at the recording of this podcast. David and Kevin talk about building ownership among your worship ministry. Awesome Resource for Worship Leaders
This is a fantastic resource for worship leaders. They talk about stuff that is relevant to worship ministry and it gets released every week. Phenomenal
Good info, very well produced.
I search for new worship podcasts every week, and even though this one has been on for years, it's only on an unrelated search that I find it (Apple should write a real search engine for iTunes).
- Great content, sprinkled with humor, and garnished with bits of real life issues (mice & moles, etc.)
