Podcast Description
Experience America’s first national park online. Explore Yellowstone National Park’s most popular questions and important issues with park rangers, scientists, historians and park visitors. What have we discovered about Yellowstone’s wildlife, geysers and other natural wonders? How can we learn from the park’s history in order to protect its future? This educational video series takes an in-depth look at such topics as its wild animals (including bears, wolves, bison, and fish), the geological and ecological processes that shape the park (including fire and the Yellowstone volcano), and its human history. We also invite you to take a virtual tour of the park through the related video series, “Inside Yellowstone,” located in "Society & Culture" in the “Places & Travel” category.

Brilliant Idea for the Parks system
If you're planning on visiting Yellowstone in the future, this podcast is a must to download. While you may not want to be looking at your IPOD while you're in the park, it provides a much better interpretive guide to the park than what is available at the visitor centers. Media is changing and it is great to see that the park service has actually gotten ahead of the game and started podcasting. I particularly liked the episodes about bears and the Yellowstone supervolcano. Nicely done!
