Description
Season 5 starts 18 months after Jack Bauer was forced to fake his own death and go underground. Now living under a false name and working in an oil field, Jack leads a quiet life, renting a room with a woman and her son. An early morning breach of national security, however, triggers the series' most shocking season opener yet, forcing Jack to reemerge. Once out in the open, Bauer quickly becomes the most wanted man alive while CTU commander Bill Buchanan and key operatives react to a series of escalating tragedies. Meanwhile, a shaky President Logan is forced to balance the national security emergencies with the signing of a significant arms treaty he believes will be his legacy.

If You Have Never Seen "24" Start With Season One!
If you still have not experienced this incredible show, start with season one and make sure you have the weekend free. You have been warned. If you jump right into this season it will spoil a lot for you. After three great seasons I wondered if the "24" magic could continue. It did in season four and even with several big changes, season five may be the best yet. My sister and I plan our Mondays around this show. It is about the only reason to own a television these days. Thank you iTunes!
Jack Bauer could take Chuck Norris
Best TV show of all time, hands down. Way to go Apple on getting it on iTMS!!! =)
About friggin' time (no pun intended)!
After i-Tunes started with tv downloads I used to check it every week. Especially with the success of "LOST" on i-Tunes I thought that the other best show on tv would be there right away. But nothing- until I saw the report a few weeks ago whic detailed WHY there was such a delay. It obviously wasn't because FOX could doubt the success of the platform to deliver the episodes & make it TONS of money- then why? When I saw that they had negotiated a deal to share the $$ with all their affiliate stations I was impressed and knew that 24 would be here soon. I fired up i-Tunes today hopeful that today would be the day - and IT IS! If you like taut action thrillers then you'll love 24! There is the occasional foray into melodrama and sometimes it is hard to suspend your disbelief but over-all this program is top-notch. Acting, writing, editing, production value- everything comes together well. And Kiefer Sutherland's character Jack Bauer makes the whole thing work. He is the lynch-pin around which the entire drama revolves. Kiefer dowsn't just become Jack Bauer- he occupies his skin in a way that it is hard to compare. That kind of intense acting over the course of a year must be difficult but Kiefer pulls it off well. Buy 24 today. You only have yourself to blame if you don't.
