Description
American Horror Story revolves around The Harmons, a family of three who moved from Boston to Los Angeles as a means to reconcile past anguish. The all-star cast features Dylan McDermott as Ben Harmon, a psychiatrist; Connie Britton as Vivien Harmon, Ben’s wife; Taissa Farmiga as Violet, the Harmon’s teenage daughter; Jessica Lange in her first-ever regular series TV role as Constance, the Harmons' neighbor; Evan Peters plays Tate Langdon, one of Ben’s patients; and Denis O’Hare as Larry Harvey. Guest stars for the series include Frances Conroy as the Harmons' housekeeper; Alexandra Breckenridge as the Harmons' housekeeper; and Jamie Brewer as Constance’s daughter. From executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (Nip Tuck) and Dante Di Loreto (Temple Grandin).

Connie Britton Scores
While the show's pretense in and of itself is a little rickety in this first episode, a standout performance from leading lady Connie Britton (you may recognize from Friday Night Lights or the Nightmare on Elm Street reboot) keeps the show alive. Her intensity and believability carry the flawed script from start to finish, and makes for a fantastic, spooky show.
If you can, buy it/watch it online rather than with on television. The commercial break-ups often ruined the mood.
Fun and Refreshing
Episode 1 was very interesting and weird, weird, weird. Loved it. I'm hooked. THE SHINING meets David Lynch. Nothing like it on TV for a long time.
CREEPY and sick! Love it!
I'm still tripping out on the pilot! What a psychological horror story! The latex person blew my mind. Sick story. I have no idea how this will go down. Great characters and well played! Great casting job! Saw the preview and decided to watch it. Glad I did. I'm hooked! Can't wait to see how this sick story will unfold.
