Description
Libba Phillips (A.J. Cook) was always the responsible sister – the one with the good grades and perfect boyfriends. Based on an inspiring true story, Bringing Ashley Home follows Libba’s tireless search for her sister Ashley (Jennifer Morrison), an unpredictable party girl who dated a number of bad boys before disappearing without a trace. Distraught, Libba and her mother Michelle (Patricia Richardson) dedicate all of their efforts to finding her. After years of searching, and when the rest of Ashley’s family is exhausted, Libba increases her efforts, even quitting her job. Frustrated by the lack of resources available to locate missing adults, she creates an organization called “Outpost for Hope.” Amazingly, after five years and a nationwide search in the darkest parts of the country, Libba finds Ashley, homeless, eight-months pregnant and living on the streets – and once again tries to help her sister turn her life around.

Wonderful movie
First of all, AJ Cook and Jennifer Morrison are two amazing people, and they don't disappoint in this movie. The story is about dedication and determination, and helping the 'missing missing' find their way home. The ending is not the ending in this one, and with a Lifetime movie, I expected it to be fully resolved in the end after all of (Libba)'s work. Watch to find out what happens. :)
Brining Ashley Home
The movie shows a side of society no one wants to acknowledge; mental health patients being left to wander the streets in order to self medicate. The actors did a great job portraying the pain, suffering and confusion with losing an adult family member to a mental health disease. In many cases those considered homeless have a family or other loved ones waiting for some sign they are still alive. I believe this movie would not just be benefitial to law enforcement, probation, social services and mental health professionals but our community at large. I would love to see you show this again soon.
