Description
In the eighth season of CSI: NY we find a changed crime lab four months after Season 7 ended. After closing the book on his last unsolved case, Mac has decided to leave the force and work for a lab that processes DNA recovered from 9/11. He is also spearheading the 9/11 memorial. With the 10-year anniversary approaching, it is not just Mac, but the entire crime lab who reflect on the tragic events. The team also struggles with new professional and personal challenges: Jo has begrudgingly taken over Mac's job on an interim basis as she continues to raise her son, and Danny has become a Sergeant and copes with additional strain on his marriage.

Great show, but Mac is no longer in crime lab!
I watched the premiere last night, and it was amazing, but I learned that Mac Taylor is no longer working for NYPD, but is instead working at a lab trying to identify the unknown victims of 9/11. I don't want CBS to even THINK of cancelling this show like they did last season, but without Mac in the lab, I just don't see how the show is going to go. How is he going to fit in? He wasn't even invloved in the case in the first episode. He was only in the parts concerning 9/11. I don't like to say it, but I don't think this season is going to be great. It's good, don't get me wrong, it's good, but I just don't think it's going to do to well. I would be saddened to see this show cancelled. I'm sure the writers will find a way to bring Mac back to the crime lab, or at least get him more invloved. CSI: NY without Mac would be like CSI: Miami without Horatio. It would be dead.
GREAT SHOW
don't worry i have a feeling he'll rejoin the team at least i hope so!
LOVE IT! :D
As the title says, I do love the show. However, Mac does not work for the other lab anymore. He is back as the head of the NY Crime Lab, which is AWESOME! :)
Watch CSI: NY Fridays at 9 p.m. / 8c on CBS
