Old world charmer
Completely loved series one and couldn't wait for series two and am so thankful that it has kept the tone and expectant drama.
The new story lines that open up in order to lead into series three is great and allows for quite a bit of speculation. We also see all of our old characters plus a couple of new one's, some of who will stay, some of who will leave and some of whom will 'linger'. I love the direction that everyone's characters is heading but hopefully, Mr Bates' and Anna's 'love story' isn't one of those that gets drawn out over several series as that would get old very quickly. Thomas is still a 'tosser' but just as one feels sorry for him and his misfortune, he makes you dislike him all over again.
Lady Grantham (the Dowager Countess) is still her wonderful, 'subtle', prim and proper, posh self and adds so much wit and humour in all the right places. Love her!
If you enjoyed the first series then you'll love Series two and like us, be disappointed that it has to end and that there's a wait for series three. Please bring it to air quickly!!
Great Show!!!
For those of you who enjoy period shows, this one is a keeper!!! I immediately searched for Season 2 when I finished the first season and was very disappointed that I wasn't able to obtain, until today. Needless to say, I downloaded the second series. This show is quite captivating and engrossing and I adore their accents which helps to make the show quite believable. Don't hesitate to purchase this one. Priced right for a great show!!!
Absolutely Magnificent
Bravo to the writer, cast of characters, costume designers, prop stylists, hair and make-up artists, location scout, editors, musicians and everyone involved with this MAGNIFICENT production. I am perhaps the biggest fan and can't wait for season 3, 4 and etc. Julian Fellowes you are a genius!!!!! Please don't stop writing.
