Description
Twilight Sparkle may be the smartest unicorn in Equestria, but there's more to life than learning magic. So Princess Celestia sends her to Ponyville on a mission to make friends. There, she meets Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy. In all their exciting adventures together, the ponies learn important lessons about friendship, as they discover that friendship is the most powerful magic of all.

Bring Back Derpy
I love this show with all my heart, but I am VERY disappointed that you've pulled an episode because of some knee-jerk complaints about ten seconds of cartoon goofiness. You should be ashamed. Please put "The Last Roundup" back into the iTunes Store! And PLEASE don't change it! You're just being panicky, and it's really not called for.

This is an amazing show. Intelligent, entertaining, and has spawned an entire internet subculture. It is, in all honesty, entertain for all ages. Think back to the shows that you loved as a kid: this show has all those positive qualities, and more!
The rebirth of a franchise
Season 1 was definitely the rebirth of the Pony franchise; pulling in new audiences and making the show enjoyable by all ages was a great move, even if it was by mistake. What started as a 1 shot extended toy commercial was renewed for a second season, and after months of waiting, that season is here. The opening episode delivered much of what fans had been waiting for, and plenty of surprises.
What's great about this show is that Hasbro acknowledges their new fanbase and has claimed they plan on making more nods to their new audience, while retaining the original feel. This is apparent with their (possible) references to a few internet memes such as Pinkie Pie's exclamation of "chocolate rain!" in the first episode of this new season.
This show is made by a company who clearly cares about their fanbase, and plans on giving them what they want while still surprising them, and that's hard to see in a new show. It gives off that beautiful 1990s cartoon feel, so you'll be swimming in nostalgia and laughter when you turn on this show.
I am very glad that they are offering season passes on iTunes, so those without digital cable or the time to sit down at the airing time will be able to enjoy these episodes right away and any time they want from there.
