As a songwriter i loved it
Though they definatly picked the wrong song to win. It should have been city of dreams.
You've gotta be kidding me!
Okay, so here's my opinion.:
I first saw the first episode FREE on iTunes and I thought that this would be a nice show:
a. Because Jewel and Kara are two of my favorite songwriters
b. Because it's about songwriting and not just singing.
c. It's free! What's there to loose?
SOOOO I bought the show for my iPod and watched it. Most of the songwriters seemed talented, but apparently Kara and Jewel didn't agree with me. They were calling songs "uninspiring" and other rude words that I honestly didn't think were appropriate. The songs weren't really THAT bad. They should have focused on the good parts of the song. Plus at the end, the judges said "Scotty, you made it here by the skin of your teeth." NO HE DIDN'T! It was obvious that Nevon should be eliminated!!! (If you watched this, I'm 99% sure you agree)
Also, all of a sudden, everyone seems so mean!!! Nick is a huge jerk, teasing Jes all the time, but I know no one would do that on national television without encouragement from the producers. Jes, too, is making out with Johnny half the time! Like I said, the producers must have encouraged that, as if the judges weren't being rude enough.
I've been keeping up with the elimination process, and listening to the songs on iTunes, but I refuse to listen to Jewel and Kara again. I deleted their songs from my iPod.
All in all, the bullying is uncalled for.
So what's there to loose? iPod memory space and my respect for Jewel and Kara.
Sorry this review was long, but if it was helpful, or you agree, please say so. Make writing this worthwhile. : )
Look forward to it!
Looks good. Like that they are writing their own songs. Should be interesting and show who they are and if they are good poets.
