an entertaining start
Real ninja of course were nothing like this, but I'm all in favor of kids spending time in a dojo learning how to stand up for themselves and their friends, and the martial arts as shown in the pilot were much more credible than you'd expect. Its also great to see George Takei as Hologramps, even if he's far more interactive than makes any sense at all. The two (soon to be three) main characters also have an infectious camaraderie, and there's a cleverness to the dialogue that I didn't expect to find on Nickelodeon. Lastly, I find it encouraging that the hero team is NOT led by a preppy white boy.
