Description

Every day the staff of the New York Daily News only has 24 hours to win the story...or lose the war against its archrival, the New York Post. Follow the News's top editors, journalists, and reporters as they hunt down the headlines, get their story straight and play beat-the-clock to get the paper out the door and into the hands of its hundreds of thousands of readers every day. These tireless and intrepid newspeople take viewers out on the "beat" — to the scene of the crime, to get the much-needed quote from the source, or to the hottest celebrity bashes for the photo op — and then back into the newsroom before deadline.

A fascinating look into a day in the news...

Recommended. This show starts out with a bang by bringing you along with the journalists of the New York Daily News. It's incredible to see the constraints that these reporters go through to put the news out in a timely and accurate manner. The pilot is free so I'd recommend picking it up if you are a fan of reality docu-dramas. Very entertaining! The only thing I'd like to see is the coverage from the NY Post side as well. The rivalry is there so let's see it from both angles...

Not what I would like, but perhaps others?

I didn't enjoy this show very much, but I'm trying not to rate it on my personal opionion but on the quality of the show. It was informative of how stories accually get in the paper and how different papers compete against one other. Obviously, it was cut and edited so it is a very narrow presentation into this field, but informative. It was entertainment, but I wasn't really enjoying it. A lot of the show just consists of different reporters talking to each other to find information. It is like watching the high points of a reporters job. In my, 14 year old, opionion, I found it bland and would much rather watch something like curb your enthusasm, lost, or family guy.

The kind of stuff reality tv should be about

This is a reality show that you can actually learn something from--how the news business works.....ok, its not about the Times, but still it was pretty interesting to see how these people do their jobs......
