UGLY IS TOTALLY IN!
Ugly betty, the most phenomenal show, ever. Its so great. This first season starts off with a kick, when Betty is hired for Mode, to work as an assistant for the new editor in cheif, but only so he wont be tempted to sleep with his assistants. Then instead of treating her badly, or firing her, they grow to become fond of each other. Also the editor in cheif (played by Eric Mabius) has a rivarly with the creative director (played by Vanessa Williams) because the editor in chief was born into his job, instead of working into it (his father owns all the publications). This show also has many amazing side plots, along with Betty's frienemies Marc and Amanda (Michael Urie, Becky Newton) who are not just amazing actors, but also are very important, and teach Betty many valuable things. Betty must learn to trust them, for they can help her at mode. Amanda, playing one of the biggest side plots, has a sudden change in Appearence, although she is still beautiful, she changes in a "big" way. The editor in chiefs brother (who get a sex change into a woman) comes back after faking her own death to get the proper surgery she needed (played by Rebecca Romijin) now is back with a big splash, and confuses and tries to steal her fathers job. In the new season Betty is facing lots of problems, uncluding the fact that the creative director is trying to take over mode, her new boy friend might have an x-girlfriend that is pregnant with his baby (or is it), a father who is left in mexico because he lacks his social security number, a sister who just lost a very important person, and herself, who is having many problems of her own. This show is so great, If you dont check it out you will be missing a lot. Mild sexuallity reference and minor cursing, but those two things dont mainly relate to the amazing plot! watch this show
ABC has some of the best shows!
Almost all of my shows that I watch are on ABC. I watch Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, and Brother's & Sister's. I love ABC and this show is one of my favorite shows. Although at times it might be a little cheesy, most of the stories are really good and the cast is Amazing. Other then Betty herself, my two favorite characters are Mark and Amanda, those two are so funny when there togther. I think the Ugly Betty came at the right time. The world was ready for Ugly Betty!
UGLY BETTY ROCKS!!!!!
America Ferrera shines as an "ugly" girl whose personality makes her beautiful. Vanessa Williams plays a good-hearted villian who you love to hate. And Becky Newton plays a self-centered fashionista with a broken heart. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!! p.s. the man candy(Eric Maibus) isn't all that bad either...
