I’ve used the app four times now. Twice it worked just about as it should, but with a high number of items unavailable. The third time I had a message saying my ordered had been delivered when it hadn’t. After much chasing it eventually arrived late.
The final straw has been my most recent order. They only started processing the order an hour and a half after it was submitted, so not a chance of being on time. I have given up with calling support as it takes then a long time and they can do very little other than call the local store. The big problem is distribution - if something is going wrong in the local Sainsbury’s the support team can do nothing about it. All in all, not worth the hassle if you want things quick - I will just plan a little ahead and use another service from now.
The worst delivery service I’ve ever used
I chose this app because of its connection to Sainsbury’s which I believed made it more credible - I was wrong.
I used it once at an old address and it there were a number of issues with the physical delivery which is attributed to the driver.
I attempted to order today and re-downloaded the app, entered my new postcode, filled my basket and checked out. It was only when I received my confirmation email that I realised it was going to my old address.
I contacted Sainsbury’s contact centre chat, they bluntly said they couldn’t help with this platform. I then called their contact centre to cancel and ask how I could change my address on the app or over the phone, they asked whether they could call me back. I said no problem but when (as the whole point of this service is that it’s quick so I didn’t want to wait hours for a call back) and he said there was no way of knowing how long it’d be.
All in all, poor app supported by poor Sainsbury’s customer support.
What on Earth...
..is going on? I’m pretty sure I’ve paid for the same order 3 times & it’s not confirming because I supposedly haven’t entered a valid landline or mobile (definitely incorrect). I tried calling the customer help line & no message indicating it’s Sainsbury’s. Just one saying the building has been evacuated because of an emergency(?!) which then hangs up. This app is terrible, search & lack of filter/sort function is rubbish also. No thorough details listed on products.
Sincerely hoping I haven’t been charged all the times I’ve attempted to put through my order as it seems customer service will be hard to get a hold of
