Now’s your chance to discover and capture the Pokémon all around you—so get your shoes on, step outside, and explore the world. You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the prestige and ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side.
Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away!
Search far and wide for Pokémon and items
Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops, found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments, to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items.
Catching, hatching, evolving, and more
As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger.
Take on Gym battles and defend your Gym
As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers.

LOUSY. WHERE IS THE DISLIKE BUTTON FOR RATING THIS APP?
App is stupid. A lot of my friends and I cannot see Pokémon. Can only see stupid rattatas and pidgeys. Best part is, we spent so much money buying coins and upgrades and months of hard work building up our accounts and levels and play a legitimate game by going out into the sun and rain, AND what do we get in return? NO SIGHTINGS OF POKÉMON? DO NOT DOWNLOAD, DO NOT PLAY, DO NOT SPEND A SINGLE CENT AND WASTE A MINUTE OF YOUR LIFE PLAYING THIS GAME. There are better games out there, like tic tac toe with paper and pen. (NIANTIC, GIVE ME MY REAL WORLD MONEY BACK!)
Good job Niantic!!
Niantic has done a very good job in killing its own game. Where do I begin? First they introduced speed cap limit, which is a total disappointment. Then they made those Low CP pidgey and rattata so difficult to catch and easy to flee away. Now they made it so difficult to throw a curve ball. Well done Niantic! I hope those "geniuses" who come up with these ideas will burn in hell! This game brings more furiousness than fun now.
Can't log in
I did play for a while previously & love this game. However, now whenever I download and attempt to start the game, I cannot enter the app or go infor 2 Sec and the app auto close. Is there something wrong with the app?
